ପ୍ରେରିତ 15
1 ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରେ କେତେକ ଲୋକ ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶରୁ ଆସି ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବିଧି ଅନୁସାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସୁନ୍ନତ ନ ହେଲେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
And, certain persons, coming down from Judea, began to teach the brethren—Except ye be circumcised according to the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 ଏଥିରେ ପାଉଲ ଓ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବାଙ୍କର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅନେକ ବାଗ୍ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଓ ବାଦାନୁବାଦ ହେବାରୁ ଭାଇମାନେ ପାଉଲ, ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ଓ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଆଉ କେତେକ ଜଣ ଏହି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଘେନି ଯିରୂଶାଲମସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଆନ୍ତୁ ବୋଲି ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ।
And, when Paul and Barnabas had had no little dissension and discussion with them, it was arranged that Paul and Barnabas and certain others from among them should go up unto the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem concerning this question,
3 ଅତଏବ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାଟ ବଳାଇ ବିଦାୟ ଦେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେମାନେ ଫୈନୀକିଆ ଓ ଶମିରୋଣ ଦେଇ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମନ-ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ବିଷୟ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରି ସମସ୍ତ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କର ମହାନନ୍ଦ ଜନ୍ମାଇଲେ।
They, therefore, being set forward by the Assembly, began passing through Phoenicia and Samaria, fully relating the conversion of them of the nations, and were causing great joy unto all the brethren.
4 ପରେ ସେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରେରିତ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅଭ୍ୟର୍ଥନା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ, ଆଉ ଈଶ୍ବର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥାଇ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେହିସବୁ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କଲେ।
And, having arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the Assembly and the Apostles and the Elders; and they recounted all things God had done with them.
5 କିନ୍ତୁ ଫାରୂଶୀ-ଦଳର କେତେକ ଜଣ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଥିଲେ ଉଠି କହିଲେ, ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁନ୍ନତ କରିବା ଓ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ପାଳନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।
But there [had] stood forth some of those who, from the sect of Pharisees, had believed, saying—It is needful to be circumcising them, also to charge them to be keeping the law of Moses.
6 ପରେ ଏହି ବିଷୟ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନେ ସମବେତ ହେଲେ।
And the Apostles and Elders were gathered together to see about this matter.
7 ଅନେକ ତର୍କବିତର୍କ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ପିତର ଉଠି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ଆପଣମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ଯେ, ମୋହର ମୁଖ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ଯେପରି ସୁସମାଚାର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଅନେକ ଦିନ ପୂର୍ବେ ଈଶ୍ବର ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ମୋତେ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଥିଲେ।
And, when much discussion had arisen, Peter standing up, said unto them—Brethren! Ye yourselves, well know that, in days long past, amongst you, God chose that, through my mouth, the nations should hear the word of the glad tidings, and believe.
8 ସର୍ବାନ୍ତର୍ଯ୍ୟାମୀ ଈଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଦାନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ଦାନ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି।
And, the heart-observing God, bare witness, —unto them, giving the Holy Spirit, just as, even unto us;
9 ଆଉ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କୌଣସି ଦଳଭେଦ ନ ରଖି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ହୃଦୟ ଶୁଚି କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
and made no distinction at all betwixt us and them, by their faith, purifying their hearts.
10 ଏଣୁ ଯେଉଁ ଯୁଆଳି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃ-ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବହିବାକୁ ଅକ୍ଷମ ହେଲୁ, ସେହି ଜୁଆଳି ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ କାନ୍ଧରେ ଦେଇ କାହିଁକି ଆପଣମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି?
Now, therefore, why are ye proving God, that ye should put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which, neither our fathers, nor we, have been able to bear.
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଯେପ୍ରକାର, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେପ୍ରକାର ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହରେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇବୁ ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛୁ।
But, through the favour of the Lord Jesus, we believe we shall be saved, in like manner as, even they.
12 ଏଥିରେ ସଭାସ୍ଥ ସମସ୍ତେ ନୀରବ ରହିଲେ, ଆଉ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ଓ ପାଉଲଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଈଶ୍ବର ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲକ୍ଷଣ ଓ ଅଦ୍ଭୁତ କର୍ମମାନ ସାଧନ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସେଥିର ବିବରଣୀ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And all the throng held their peace, and began to hearken unto Barnabas and Paul relating how many signs and wonders God had done among the nations, through them.
13 ସେମାନଙ୍କ କଥା ଶେଷ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯାକୁବ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ ମୋହର କଥା ଶୁଣନ୍ତୁ।
And, after they held their peace, James answered, saying—Brethren! hearken unto me.
14 ଈଶ୍ବର ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦଳେ ଲୋକ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କୃପାଦୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଥିଲେ, ତାହା ଶିମୋନ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
Symeon, hath fully told how God, first visited, to take out of the nations, a people for his name.
15 ପୁଣି, ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଏହା ସହିତ ମିଶୁଅଛି, ଯେପରି ଲେଖାଅଛି,
And, with this, agree the words of the prophets, according as it is written—
16 “‘ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାହୁଡ଼ିଆସି ଦାଉଦର ପତିତ କୁଟୀର ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା, ପୁଣି, ତାହାର ଧ୍ୱଂସସ୍ଥାନସବୁ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ତାହା ପୁନଃସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା,
After these things, will I return, and will rebuild the tent of David that hath fallen, and, the ruins thereof, will I rebuild, and will set it up again:
17 ଯେପରି ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକେ ଓ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀ ଆମ୍ଭ ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ, ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରନ୍ତି, ସର୍ବ ସାଧନକର୍ତ୍ତା ପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହନ୍ତି।
That the residues of men may seek out the Lord, and all the nations upon whom my name hath been called, saith the Lord that doeth these things,
Known from age-past times. (aiōn g165)
19 ଅତଏବ, ମୋହର ବିଚାର ଏହି, ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଫେରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭାରଗ୍ରସ୍ତ କରିବା ନାହିଁ;
Wherefore, I, judge, not to be troubling them who, from the nations, are turning unto God;
20 କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରତିମା ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ ଅଶୁଚିତା, ଯୌନକ୍ରିୟା, ଶ୍ୱାସରୋଧ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୃତ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଓ ରକ୍ତରୁ ପୃଥକ୍ ରହିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲେଖୁ।
but to write unto them, to abstain from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from what is strangled, and from blood.
21 କାରଣ ପ୍ରାଚୀନକାଳରୁ ପ୍ରତି ନଗରରେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଚାରକମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଯେଣୁ ପ୍ରତି ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ସମାଜଗୃହ ସମୂହରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ପାଠ କରାଯାଉଅଛି।”
For, Moses, out of ancient generation, hath, in every city, them who proclaim him; seeing, that in the synagogues, every sabbath, he is read.
22 ସେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନେ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସହିତ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଲୋକ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଭ୍ରାତୃବୃନ୍ଦଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଗ୍ରଗଣ୍ୟ ବର୍ଶବ୍ବା ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ ଯିହୂଦା ଓ ଶୀଲାଙ୍କୁ ମନୋନୀତ କରି ପାଉଲ ଓ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆକୁ ପଠାଇବାକୁ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଲେ,
Then, seemed it good unto the Apostles and the Elders with the whole Assembly to send chosen men from among them unto Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, —even Judas who is called Barsabbas, and Silas, men taking a lead among the brethren:
23 ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଏହା ଲେଖି ପଠାଇଲେ, ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆ, ସିରିୟା ଓ କିଲିକିୟାସ୍ଥ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀ ଭ୍ରାତୃବୃନ୍ଦଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେରିତ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଭ୍ରାତୃବୃନ୍ଦଙ୍କର ନମସ୍କାର।
writing through their hand—The Apostles and the Elder Brethren, unto the brethren throughout Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, who are from among the nations, wish joy!
24 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ ନାହୁଁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଏପ୍ରକାର କେତେକ ଲୋକ କଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କର ମନକୁ ଅସ୍ଥିର କରି ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଚଳିତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି;
Inasmuch as we had heard that, certain from among us, had troubled you with words, dismantling your souls, —unto whom we had given no instructions,
25 ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରିୟପାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ଓ ପାଉଲ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାଣପଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି,
It seemed good unto us, coming to be of one accord, that we should choose men and send them unto you, with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, —
26 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏକମତ ହୋଇ କେତେକ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ମନୋନୀତ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇବା ବିହିତ ବୁଝିଲୁ।
men who have given up their lives in behalf of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 ଏଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିହୂଦା ଓ ଶୀଲାଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲୁ, ଏମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୁଖରେ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଜଣାଇଦେବେ।
We have sent, therefore, Judas and Silas, who also, themselves, by word of mouth, can tell you the same things.
28 କାରଣ ପ୍ରତିମା ନିକଟରେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗୀକୃତ ପ୍ରସାଦ, ରକ୍ତ, ଶ୍ୱାସରୋଧ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୃତ ପ୍ରାଣୀର ମାଂସ ଓ ଯୌନକ୍ରିୟାଠାରୁ ପୃଥକ୍ ରହିବା, ଏହି କେତୋଟି ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ବିଷୟ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆଉ ଅଧିକ ଭାର ନ ଦେବାକୁ, ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ଦେଖାଗଲା;
For it hath seemed good unto the Holy Spirit and unto us, no greater burden, to be laying upon you, than these necessary things: —
29 ଏହିସବୁରୁ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାକୁ ଯତ୍ନ ସହ ରକ୍ଷା କଲେ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କର ଭଲ ହେବ। ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ହେଉ।
To be abstaining from idol sacrifices, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication, —From which, if ye keep yourselves, ye shall prosper. Fare ye well.
30 ସେମାନେ ବିଦାୟ ହୋଇ ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଆଉ ଶିଷ୍ୟସମୂହକୁ ଏକତ୍ର କରି ପତ୍ର ଖଣ୍ଡିକ ଦେଲେ।
They, therefore, being let go, came down unto Antioch; and, having gathered together the throng, delivered the letter,
31 ସେମାନେ ତାହା ପାଠ କରି ଆଶ୍ୱାସନା ପାଇ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେଲେ।
and, when they read it, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 ପୁଣି, ଯିହୂଦା ଓ ଶୀଲା ନିଜେ ନିଜେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭାବବାଦୀ ଥିବାରୁ ଅନେକ କଥା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସାହ ଦେଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥିର କଲେ।
And, both Judas and Silas, being themselves also prophets, with much discourse, consoled and confirmed the brethren.
33 ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ସେଠାରେ କେତେକ କାଳ ରହିଲା ପରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେରଣ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ବାହୁଡ଼ିଯିବାକୁ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଶାନ୍ତିରେ ବିଦାୟ ନେଲେ,
And, when they had spent a time, they were let go, in peace, from the brethren, unto them who had sent them.
34 [କିନ୍ତୁ ଶୀଲା ସେଠାରେ ରହିବା ଉତ୍ତମ ମନେ କଲେ।]
35 ପୁଣି, ପାଉଲ ଓ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ଆନ୍ତିୟଖିଆରେ ରହି ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଅନେକ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
But, Paul and Barnabas, tarried in Antioch, teaching and telling the joyful tidings, —along with many others also, —of the word of the Lord.
36 କେତେକ ଦିନ ପରେ ପାଉଲ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ ନଗରରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିଥିଲୁ, ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ନଗରକୁ ଏବେ ବାହୁଡ଼ିଯାଇ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରି, ସେମାନେ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଦେଖିବା।
And, after certain days, Paul, said unto Barnabas—Let us now return, and visit the brethren in every city in which we have declared the word of the Lord, and see how they are.
37 ସେଥିରେ ମାର୍କ ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ ଯୋହନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଘେନିଯିବା ପାଇଁ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବାଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା ଥିଲା,
And, Barnabas, was minded to take with them John also, called Mark;
38 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ପଂଫୂଲିଆରୁ ଚାଲି ଆସିଥିଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକୁ ଯାଇ ନ ଥିଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେବାକୁ ପାଉଲ ଉଚିତ୍ ମନେ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
but Paul deemed it right, as to him who had withdrawn from them, back from Pamphylia, and had not gone with them unto the work, not to be taking with them, this, man.
39 ସେଥିରେ ଘୋର ବିବାଦ ଘଟିବାରୁ ସେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପରଠାରୁ ପୃଥକ୍ ହେଲେ, ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ମାର୍କଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଘେନି ଜାହାଜରେ ସାଇପ୍ରସ୍ ଦ୍ବୀପକୁ ଗମନ କଲେ,
And there arose an angry feeling, so that they separated one from the other: and, Barnabas, taking Mark, sailed away unto Cyprus, —
40 କିନ୍ତୁ ପାଉଲ ଶୀଲାଙ୍କୁ ମନୋନୀତ କରି ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ,
whereas, Paul, choosing Silas, went forth, committed unto the favour of the Lord by the brethren,
41 ଆଉ ସେ ସିରିୟା ଓ କିଲିକିୟା ଦେଇ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ-ସମୂହକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥିର କଲେ।
and proceeded to pass through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the assemblies.
