ପ୍ରେରିତ 1
1 ହେ ଥୀୟଫିଲ, ଯେଉଁ ଦିନ ଯୀଶୁ ଆପଣା ମନୋନୀତ ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ନିଆଗଲେ,
In the former treatise (Deare frende Theophilus) I have written of all that Iesus beganne to do and teache
2 ସେହି ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେ ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଥମ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖିଅଛି।
vntyll the daye in the which he was taken vp after that he thorowe the holy goost had geven commaundementes vnto the Apostles which he had chosen:
3 ଯୀଶୁ ଆପଣା ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅନେକ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ନିଜକୁ ଜୀବିତ ଦେଖାଇଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଚାଳିଶ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବାରମ୍ବାର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଇ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ କହିଲେ।
to whom also he shewed him selfe alyve after his passion by many tokens apperynge vnto them fourty dayes and speakynge of the kyngdome of god
4 ଥରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଭୋଜନରେ ବସିବା ସମୟରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କର ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତାଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ବିଷୟ ମୋʼଠାରୁ ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ସେଥିର ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ରହିଥାଅ;
and gaddered them togeder and commaunded the that they shuld not departe from Ierusalem: but to wayte for ye promys of the father whereof ye have herde of me.
5 କାରଣ ଯୋହନ ଜଳରେ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ଦେଲେ ସତ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅଳ୍ପ ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାରେ ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେବ।”
For Iohn baptised wt water: but ye shalbe baptised with the holy goost and that with in this feawe dayes.
6 ଅତଏବ, ସେମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ହୋଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ; “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣ କଣ ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ହସ୍ତରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ରାଜ୍ୟଭାର ସମର୍ପଣ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି?”
When they were come togeder they axed of him sayinge: Lorde wilt thou at this tyme restore agayne ye kyngdome to Israel?
7 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ କାଳ କି ସମୟ ପିତା ଆପଣା କ୍ଷମତା ଅଧୀନରେ ରଖିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଜାଣିବା ବିଷୟ ନୁହେଁ।
And he sayde vnto them: It is not for you to knowe the tymes or the seasons which ye father hath put in his awne power:
8 କିନ୍ତୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଅବତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶକ୍ତି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବ, ଆଉ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, ସମସ୍ତ ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶ ଓ ଶମିରୋଣ, ପୁଣି, ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମୋହର ସାକ୍ଷୀ ହେବ।”
but ye shall receave power of the holy goost which shall come on you. And ye shall be witnesses vnto me in Ierusalem and in all Iewrye and in Samary and even vnto the worldes ende.
9 ସେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିବା ପରେ, ସେମାନେ ଦେଖୁ ଦେଖୁ ସେ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ନୀତ ହେଲେ, ଆଉ ଖଣ୍ଡେ ମେଘ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରୁ ଘେନିଗଲା।
And when he had spoken these thinges whyll they behelde he was take vp and a cloude receaved him vp out of their sight.
10 ସେ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ସେମାନେ ଆକାଶ ଆଡ଼କୁ ଏକଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଚାହିଁଅଛନ୍ତି; ଏପରି ସମୟରେ, ଦେଖ, ଶୁକ୍ଳ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପରିହିତ ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ପୁରୁଷ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ,
And while they looked stedfastly vp to heaven as he went beholde two men stode by them in white apparell
11 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ହେ ଗାଲିଲୀୟ ଲୋକେ, କାହିଁକି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆକାଶ ଆଡ଼କୁ ଚାହିଁ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଅଛ? ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ଯୀଶୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ଗୃହୀତ ହେଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାରେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ଯିବାର ଦେଖିଲ, ସେ ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଆଗମନ କରିବେ।
which also sayde: ye men of Galile why stonde ye gasinge vp into heave? This same Iesus which is taken vp fro you in to heaven shall so come even as ye haue sene him goo into heaven.
12 ଏହାପରେ ସେମାନେ ଜୀତ ନାମକ ପର୍ବତରୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ବାହୁଡ଼ି ଆସିଲେ। ସେହି ପର୍ବତ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ପାଖରେ, ଗୋଟିଏ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରର ବାଟ ଦୂରରେ ଥିଲା।
Then returned they vnto Ierusalem from mount olivete which is nye to Ierusalem coteyninge a Saboth dayes iorney.
13 ସେମାନେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ପିତର, ଯୋହନ, ଯାକୁବ, ଆନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ, ଫିଲିପ୍ପ, ଥୋମା, ବାର୍ଥଲମୀ, ମାଥିଉ, ଆଲଫିଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯାକୁବ, ଉଦ୍ଯୋଗୀ ଶିମୋନ ଓ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୂଦା, ନଗରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି, ଯେଉଁ ଉପର କୋଠରୀରେ ସେମାନେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ, ସେଠାକୁ ଗଲେ।
And when they were come in they went vp into a parler where abode both Peter and Iames Iohn and Andrew Philip and Thomas Bartlemew and Mathew Iames the sonne of Alpheus and Simo Zelotes and Iudas Iames sonne.
14 ଏମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏବଂ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମାତା ମରୀୟମ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏକ ମନରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନାରେ ଲାଗି ରହିଲେ।
These all cotinued with one acorde in prayer and supplicacion with the wemen and Mary the mother of Iesu and with his brethren.
15 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ପିତର ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ; (ସେଠାରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗତ ପ୍ରାୟ ଶହେ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ଜଣ ଥିଲେ),
And in those dayes Peter stode vp in the myddes of the disciples and sayde (the noumbre of names that were to gether were aboute an hondred and twenty)
16 ମୋହର ଭାଇମାନେ, ଯେଉଁ ଯିହୂଦା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାଟ ଦେଖାଇଥିଲା, ତାହା ବିଷୟରେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ମୁଖରେ ଯାହା କହିଥିଲେ, ସେହି ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀୟ ବାକ୍ୟ ସଫଳ ହେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଥିଲା;
Ye men and brethren this scripture must have nedes ben fulfilled which the holy goost thorow ye mouth of David spake before of Iudas which was gyde to them that tooke Iesus.
17 କାରଣ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜଣେ ବୋଲି ଗଣାଯାଇଥିଲା ଓ ଏହି ସେବାପଦରେ ଅଂଶ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
For he was noubred with vs and had obtayned fellouship in this ministracion.
18 ଏହି ଲୋକ (ଯିହୂଦା) ଅଧର୍ମର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଖଣ୍ଡିଏ କ୍ଷେତ ପାଇଲା, ପୁଣି, ସେ ମୁଣ୍ଡ ମାଡ଼ି ହୋଇ ପଡ଼ିବାରୁ ତାହାର ପେଟ ଫାଟିଗଲା ଓ ଅନ୍ତବୁଜୁଳି ବାହାରି ପଡ଼ିଲା;
And the same hath now possessed a plot of grounde with the rewarde of iniquite and when he was hanged brast a sondre in ye myddes and all his bowels gusshed oute.
19 ଆଉ, ଏହା ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଜାଣିବାରୁ, ସେହି କ୍ଷେତ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିଜ ଭାଷାରେ “ହକଲ୍ଦମା”, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ରକ୍ତକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ବୋଲି ଖ୍ୟାତ ହେଲା।
And it is knowe vnto all the inhabiters of Ierusalem: in so moche that that felde is called in their mother tonge Acheldama that is to saye the bloud felde.
20 ଆଉ, ଗୀତସଂହିତା ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି, “‘ତାହାର ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ଶୂନ୍ୟ ହେଉ, ସେଠାରେ କେହି ବାସ ନ କରୁ।’ ଏବଂ, ‘ତାହାର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପଦ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଦିଆଯାଉ।’
It is written in the boke of Psalmes: His habitacio be voyde and no man be dwellinge therin: and his bisshoprycke let another take.
21 ଅତଏବ, ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ନେବା ସମୟଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ନିଆଯିବା ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯେତେ ସମୟ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରୁଥିଲେ,
Wherfore of these me which have copanyed with vs all ye tyme that the Lorde Iesus wet in and out amonge vs
22 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନର ସାକ୍ଷୀ ହେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।”
begynninge at the baptyme of Iohn vnto that same daye that he was taken vp from vs must one be ordeyned to be are witnes with vs of his resurreccion.
23 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଯୋଷେଫଙ୍କୁ, ଯାହାକୁ ବର୍ଶବ୍ବା ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି ଓ ଯାହାଙ୍କ ଉପନାମ ଯୂସ୍ତ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ମଥିୟଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥକ୍ କରି ଏହି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ,
And they appoynted two Ioseph called Barsabas (whose syr name was Iustus) and Mathias.
24 “ହେ ସର୍ବାନ୍ତର୍ଯ୍ୟାମୀ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଯିହୂଦା ନିଜ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ସେବା ଓ ପ୍ରେରିତ ପଦରୁ ପତିତ ହୋଇଅଛି,
And they prayed sayinge: thou Lorde which knowest the hertes of all me shewe whether of these two thou hast chosen
25 ସେହି ପ୍ରେରିତପଦ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହାକୁ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛ, ତାହା ଦେଖାଇଦିଅ।”
that the one maye take the roume of this ministracion and apostleshippe from the which Iudas by transgression fell that he myght go to his awne place.
26 ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ସେହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ମଥିୟଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଗୁଲି ଉଠିଲା; ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଏଗାର ଜଣ ପ୍ରେରିତଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗଣିତ ହେଲେ।
And they gave forthe their lottes and the lot fell on Mathias and he was counted with the eleven Apostles.
