ଥେସଲନୀକୀୟଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ପତ୍ର 1

1 ପାଉଲ, ସିଲ୍ୱାନ ଓ ତୀମଥି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ଈଶ୍ବର ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ ଥିବା ଥେସଲନୀକୀ ସହରର ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ନିକଟକୁ ପତ୍ର;

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 ପିତା ଈଶ୍ବର ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ହେଉ।

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ସର୍ବଦା ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେବା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ, ଆଉ ତାହା ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ଅଟେ। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଅତିଶୟ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉଅଛି, ପୁଣି, ପରସ୍ପର ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକର ପ୍ରେମ ବଢ଼ୁଅଛି,

We are obligated to thank God for you all the time, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith is growing more and more, and your love for one another is increasing.

4 ଏପରିକି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ ତାଡ଼ନା ଓ କଷ୍ଟ ଭୋଗୁଅଛ, ସେଥିମଧ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସହିଷ୍ଣୁତା ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଜେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ-ସମୂହରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଗର୍ବ କରିଥାଉ।

That is why we boast among God’s churches about your perseverance and faith in the face of all the persecution and affliction you are enduring.

5 ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଯେଉଁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୁଃଖ ଭୋଗୁଅଛ, ସେଥିର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ଗଣିତ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଏହା ତ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଉଚିତ୍ ବିଚାରର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରମାଣ,

All this is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment. And so you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.

6 କାରଣ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣା ଶକ୍ତିମାନ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଜଳୁଥିବା ଅଗ୍ନି ସହ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରୁ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେବେ,

After all, it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

7 ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କଷ୍ଟ ଦେଉଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଭାବରେ କ୍ଳେଶ ଦେବା ଓ କଷ୍ଟ ଭୋଗ କରୁଅଛ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦେବା, ଏହା ତ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ନ୍ୟାୟର ବିଷୟ;

and to grant relief to you who are oppressed and to us as well. This will take place when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels

8 ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସୁସମାଚାର ମାନନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେ ସେତେବେଳେ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବେ,

in blazing fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

9 ଅର୍ଥାତ୍‍, ଯେଉଁ ଦିନ ସେ ଆପଣା ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଗୌରବାନ୍ୱିତ ହେବାକୁ ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଚମତ୍କାରର ଦୃଶ୍ୟସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବାକୁ ଆସିବେ (କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଅଛ),

They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His might, (aiōnios g166)

10 ସେହି ଦିନ ସେମାନେ ଦଣ୍ଡ ପାଇବେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍‍ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରୁ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପରାକ୍ରମର ଗୌରବରୁ ଦୂରେଇ ଯାଇ ଅନନ୍ତ ବିନାଶ ଭୋଗ କରିବେ। (aiōnios g166)

on the day He comes to be glorified in His saints and regarded with wonder by all who have believed, including you who have believed our testimony.

11 ଏଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଆହ୍ୱାନର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ଗଣନା କରନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି ସମସ୍ତ ଉତ୍ତମତା ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସର କର୍ମ ଶକ୍ତିରେ ସିଦ୍ଧ କରନ୍ତି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସର୍ବଦା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଅଛୁ;

To this end, we always pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of His calling, and that He will powerfully fulfill your every good desire and work of faith,

12 ତାହାହେଲେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଅନୁସାରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନାମ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଗୌରବାନ୍ୱିତ ହେବ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଗୌରବାନ୍ୱିତ ହେବ।

so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
