ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ରାଜାବଳୀ 1
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଆହାବଙ୍କର ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ମୋୟାବ ଦେଶ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହ ଆଚରଣ କଲେ।
And Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Achaab.
2 ପୁଣି ଅହସୀୟ ଶମରୀୟାସ୍ଥ ଆପଣା ଉପରିସ୍ଥ କୋଠରିର ଝରକା ଦେଇ ପଡ଼ି ପୀଡ଼ିତ ହେଲେ; ଆଉ ସେ ଦୂତଗଣ ପଠାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯାଅ, ଏହି ପୀଡ଼ାରୁ ମୁଁ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେବି କି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ଇକ୍ରୋଣର ଦେବତା ବାଲ୍ସବୂବକୁ ପଚାର।”
And Ochozias fell through the lattice that was in his upper chamber in Samaria and was sick; and he sent messengers, and said to them, Go and enquire of Baal fly, the god of Accaron, whether I shall recover of this my sickness. And they went to enquire of him.
3 ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୂତ ତିଶ୍ବୀୟ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଉଠ, ଶମରୀୟା ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଦୂତଗଣକୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଅ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ‘ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନାହାନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଇକ୍ରୋଣର ଦେବତା ବାଲ୍ସବୂବକୁ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛ?’
And an angel of the Lord called Eliu the Thesbite, saying, Arise, and go to meet the messengers of Ochozias king of Samaria, and thou shalt say to them, [Is it] because there is no God in Israel, [that] ye go to enquire of Baal fly, the God of Accaron? but [it shall] not [be] so.
4 ଏହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଶଯ୍ୟା ଉପରକୁ ଯାଇଅଛ, ତହିଁରୁ ତଳକୁ ଆସିବ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମରିବ।’” ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଏଲୀୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କଲେ।
For thus saith the Lord, The bed on which thou art gone up, thou shalt not come down from it, for thou shalt surely die. And Eliu went, and said [so] to them.
5 ତହୁଁ ଦୂତମାନେ ଅହସୀୟଙ୍କର ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରି ଆସନ୍ତେ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଫେରି ଆସିଲ?”
And the messengers returned to him, and he said to them, Why have ye returned?
6 ଏଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଆସି କହିଲା, ‘ଯେଉଁ ରାଜା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଅଛି, ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରିଯାଇ ତାହାକୁ କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନାହାନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇକ୍ରୋଣର ଦେବତା ବାଲ୍ସବୂବ ନିକଟକୁ ପଚାରି ପଠାଉଅଛ? ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଶଯ୍ୟା ଉପରକୁ ଯାଇଅଛ, ତହିଁରୁ ତଳକୁ ଆସିବ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମରିବ।’”
And they said to him, A man came up to meet us, and said to us, Go, return to the king that sent you, and say to him, Thus saith the Lord, [Is it] because there is no God in Israel, [that] thou goest to enquire of Baal fly, the God of Accaron? [it shall] not [be] so: the bed on which thou art gone up, thou shalt not come down from it, for thou shalt surely die.
7 ତହିଁରେ ଅହସୀୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଆସି ଏହିସବୁ କଥା କହିଲା, ସେ କି ପ୍ରକାର ଲୋକ?”
So they returned and reported to the king as Eliu said: and he said to them, What [was] the manner of the man who went up to meet you, and spoke to you these words?
8 ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର କଲେ, “ସେ ଲୋମଶ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଓ ତାହାର କଟି ଚର୍ମପଟୁକାରେ ବନ୍ଧା ଥିଲା।” ତହିଁରେ ରାଜା କହିଲେ, “ସେ ତ ତିଶ୍ବୀୟ ଏଲୀୟ।”
And they said to him, [He was] a hairy man, and girt with a leathern girdle about his loins. And he said, This is Eliu the Thesbite.
9 ତେବେ ରାଜା ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଜଣେ ପଚାଶପତିଙ୍କୁ ତାହାର ପଚାଶ ଲୋକ ସହିତ ପଠାଇଲେ। ତହୁଁ ପଚାଶପତି ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲା; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଏଲୀୟ ପର୍ବତ ଶୃଙ୍ଗରେ ବସିଥିଲେ। ଏଥିରେ ପଚାଶପତି ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ରାଜା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ‘ତଳକୁ ଆସ।’”
And he sent to him a captain of fifty and his fifty; and he went up to him: and, behold, Eliu sat on the top of a mountain. And the captain of fifty spoke to him, and said, O man of God, the king has called thee, come down.
10 ତହୁଁ ଏଲୀୟ ସେହି ପଚାଶପତିଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲେ, “ଯେବେ ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ତେବେ ଆକାଶରୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ଆସି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପଚାଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରୁ।” ଏଥିରେ ଆକାଶରୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ଆସି ତାହାକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ପଚାଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା।
And Eliu answered and said to the captain of fifty, And if I [am] a man of God, fire shall come down out of heaven, and devour thee and thy fifty. And fire came down out of heaven, and devoured him and his fifty.
11 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ରାଜା ପୁନର୍ବାର ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଉ ଏକ ପଚାଶପତିଙ୍କୁ ତାହାର ପଚାଶ ଲୋକ ସହିତ ପଠାଇଲେ। ତହୁଁ ଏହି ପଚାଶପତି ମଧ୍ୟ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ରାଜା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ‘ଶୀଘ୍ର ତଳକୁ ଆସ।’”
And the king sent a second time to him another captain of fifty, and his fifty. And the captain of fifty spoke to him, and said, O man of God, thus says the king, Come down quickly.
12 ଏଥିରେ ଏଲୀୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲେ, “ଯେବେ ମୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ତେବେ ଆକାଶରୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ଆସି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପଚାଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରୁ।” ତହୁଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଅଗ୍ନି ଆକାଶରୁ ଆସି ତାହାକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ପଚାଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା।
And Eliu answered and spoke to him, and said, If I [am] a man of God, fire shall come down out of heaven, and devour thee and thy fifty. And fire came down out of heaven, and devoured him and his fifty.
13 ଏଥିରେ ରାଜା ପୁନର୍ବାର ତୃତୀୟ ପଚାଶପତିଙ୍କୁ ତାହାର ପଚାଶ ଲୋକ ସହିତ ପଠାଇଲେ। ପୁଣି ସେହି ତୃତୀୟ ପଚାଶପତି ଉପରକୁ ଗଲା ଓ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ଆଣ୍ଠୁପାତି ବିନୟ କରି ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ହେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଏହି ପଚାଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ହେଉ।
And the king sent yet again a captain and his fifty. And the third captain of fifty came, and knelt on his knees before Eliu, and entreated him, and spoke to him and said, O man of God, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thine eyes.
14 ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆକାଶରୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ଆସି ପୂର୍ବ ଦୁଇ ପଚାଶପତିଙ୍କୁ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପଚାଶ ପଚାଶ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା; ମାତ୍ର ଏବେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ହେଉ।”
Behold, fire came down from heaven, and devoured the two first captains of fifty: and now, I pray, let my life be precious in thine eyes.
15 ଏଥିରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୂତ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗରେ ତଳକୁ ଯାଅ; ତାହାକୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ।” ତହୁଁ ଏଲୀୟ ଉଠି ପଚାଶପତି ସଙ୍ଗରେ ତଳକୁ ଯାଇ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲେ।
And the angel of the Lord spoke to Eliu, and said, Go down with him, be not afraid of them. And Eliu rose up, and went down with him to the king.
16 ପୁଣି ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ‘କଥା ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନାହାନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇକ୍ରୋଣର ଦେବତା ବାଲ୍ସବୂବକୁ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲ? ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଶଯ୍ୟା ଉପରକୁ ଯାଇଅଛ, ତହିଁରୁ ତଳକୁ ଆସିବ ନାହଁ, ମାତ୍ର ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମରିବ।’”
And Eliu spoke to him, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Why hast thou sent messengers to enquire of Baal fly, the god of Accaron? [it shall] not [be] so: the bed on which thou art gone up, thou shalt not come down from it, for thou shalt surely die.
17 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉକ୍ତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ସେ ମଲେ। ପୁଣି ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ନ ଥିବାରୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଯିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋରାମ୍ଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ବର୍ଷରେ ଯିହୋରାମ୍ ତାଙ୍କର ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ।
So he died according to the word of the Lord which Eliu has spoken.
18 ଏହି ଅହସୀୟଙ୍କର କ୍ରିୟାର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ କି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖା ନାହିଁ?
And the rest of the acts of Ochozias which he did, behold, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
