1 ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ବର୍ଷରେ ଏଲାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ହୋଶେୟ ଶମରୀୟାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ନଅ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

2 ପୁଣି ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ କୁକର୍ମ କଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।

3 ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ଶଲ୍ମନେଷର ଆସିଲା; ତହିଁରେ ହୋଶେୟ ତାହାର ଦାସ ହେଲେ ଓ ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଦର୍ଶନୀ ଆଣିଲେ।

4 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ହୋଶେୟଙ୍କଠାରେ ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଭାବ ଦେଖିଲା; କାରଣ ସେ ମିସରର ସୋ ରାଜା ନିକଟକୁ ଦୂତଗଣ ପଠାଇଲେ, ପୁଣି ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାକୁ ଯେପରି ବର୍ଷକୁ ବର୍ଷ ଦର୍ଶନୀ ଦେଉଥିଲେ, ସେପରି ଆଉ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ; ଏଣୁ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ତାଙ୍କୁ ରୁଦ୍ଧ କରି କାରାଗାରରେ ବନ୍ଦ କଲା।

7 ଏଥିର କାରଣ ଏହି, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ଯେଉଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ମିସରୀୟ ରାଜା ଫାରୋର ହସ୍ତାଧୀନରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଥିଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସେମାନେ ପାପ କରି ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣକୁ ଭୟ କଲେ,

8 ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଯେଉଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୂର କରି ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ବିଧିରେ ଚାଲିଲେ।

9 ଆହୁରି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଗୋପନରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଯଥାର୍ଥ କର୍ମ କଲେ ଓ ପ୍ରହରୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦୁର୍ଗଠାରୁ ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ବେଷ୍ଟିତ ନଗର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ସକଳ ନଗରରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀମାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କଲେ।

10 ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ହରିଦ୍ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବୃକ୍ଷ ମୂଳେ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଓ ଆଶେରା ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିମାନ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ।

11 ପୁଣି ସେଠାସ୍ଥିତ ସକଳ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ସେମାନେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କଲେ।

12 ପୁଣି “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି କର୍ମ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।” ବୋଲି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥିଲେ, ସେହି ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନେ ସେବା କଲେ।

13 ତଥାପି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଦର୍ଶକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ପ୍ରତି ଓ ଯିହୁଦା ପ୍ରତି ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ କୁପଥରୁ ଫେର, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଯେସମସ୍ତ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଆଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛୁ ଓ ଯାହା ଆପଣା ଦାସ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଅଛୁ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଓ ବିଧିସବୁ ପାଳନ କର।”

14 ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ସମ୍ମତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ପିତୃଲୋକମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଗ୍ରୀବା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଗ୍ରୀବା ଶକ୍ତ କଲେ।

15 ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ବିଧି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃଗଣ ସହିତ କୃତ ତାହାଙ୍କର ନିୟମ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦତ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟସବୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ। ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଅସାରତାର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୋଇ ଅସାର ହେଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ୟ କର୍ମ ନ କରିବାକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଥିଲେ; ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥ ସେହି ଅନ୍ୟଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ ହେଲେ।
and to reject [obj] statute: decree his and [obj] covenant his which to cut: make(covenant) with father their and [obj] testimony his which to testify in/on/with them and to go: follow after [the] vanity and to become vain and after [the] nation which around them which to command LORD [obj] them to/for lest to make: do like/as them
16 ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ସକଳ ଆଜ୍ଞା ତ୍ୟାଗ କଲେ ଓ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଛାଞ୍ଚରେ ଢଳା ପ୍ରତିମା, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଦୁଇ ଗୋବତ୍ସ ଓ ଆଶେରା ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ଆଉ ଆକାଶସ୍ଥ ବାହିନୀ ସକଳକୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ ଓ ବାଲ୍ର ସେବା କଲେ।
and to leave: forsake [obj] all commandment LORD God their and to make to/for them liquid (two *Q(K)*) calf and to make Asherah and to bow to/for all army [the] heaven and to serve: minister [obj] [the] Baal
17 ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ରକନ୍ୟାଗଣକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ମଧ୍ୟଦେଇ ଗମନ କରାଇଲେ, ପୁଣି ମନ୍ତ୍ର ଓ ଗଣକତା ବ୍ୟବହାର କଲେ, ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ କୁକର୍ମ କରିବାକୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିକ୍ରୟ କଲେ।
and to pass [obj] son: child their and [obj] daughter their in/on/with fire and to divine divination and to divine and to sell to/for to make: do [the] bad: evil in/on/with eye: seeing LORD to/for to provoke him
18 ଏହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ଅତିଶୟ କ୍ରୁଦ୍ଧ ହେଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ଦୂର କଲେ। କେବଳ ଯିହୁଦା-ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଛଡ଼ା ଆଉ କେହି ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିଲା ନାହିଁ।
and be angry LORD much in/on/with Israel and to turn aside: remove them from upon face his not to remain except tribe Judah to/for alone him
19 ଯିହୁଦା ମଧ୍ୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାସବୁ ପ୍ରତିପାଳନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର କୃତ ବିଧିରେ ଚାଲିଲେ।
also Judah not to keep: obey [obj] commandment LORD God their and to go: walk in/on/with statute Israel which to make
20 ଏଣୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶକୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଳେଶ ଦେଲେ ଓ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୂର ନ କରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଲୁଟକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ।

21 କାରଣ ସେ ଦାଉଦ ବଂଶରୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ଛିନ୍ନ କଲେ; ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ନବାଟର ପୁତ୍ର ଯାରବୀୟାମଙ୍କୁ ରାଜା କଲେ ଓ ଯାରବୀୟାମ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗମନରୁ ତଡ଼ିଦେଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ମହାପାପ କରାଇଲେ।

22 ପୁଣି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଯାରବୀୟାମଙ୍କ କୃତ ସମସ୍ତ ପାପରେ ଚାଲିଲେ; ସେମାନେ ତହିଁରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।

23 ଶେଷରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ସେବକ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ଯେପରି କହିଥିଲେ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ଦୂର କଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶରୁ ଅଶୂରକୁ ନିଆଗଲେ ଓ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

24 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା, ବାବିଲ ଓ କୂଥା ଓ ଅବ୍ଦା ଓ ହମାତ ଓ ସଫର୍ବୟିମଠାରୁ ଲୋକ ଆଣି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ବଦଳେ ଶମରୀୟାର ନାନା ନଗରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲା; ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ଶମରୀୟା ଅଧିକାର କରି ତହିଁର ନାନା ନଗରରେ ବାସ କଲେ।
and to come (in): bring king Assyria from Babylon and from Cuthah [to] and from Ivvah and from Hamath and Sepharvaim and to dwell in/on/with city Samaria underneath: instead son: descendant/people Israel and to possess: take [obj] Samaria and to dwell in/on/with city her
25 ସେଠାରେ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ବସତିର ଆରମ୍ଭରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଏହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟକୁ ସିଂହଗଣ ପଠାଇଲେ ଓ ସିଂହମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେକଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲେ।
and to be in/on/with beginning to dwell they there not to fear [obj] LORD and to send: depart LORD in/on/with them [obj] [the] lion and to be to kill in/on/with them
26 ଏଥିସକାଶୁ ସେମାନେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜାକୁ କହିଲେ, ଆପଣ ଯେଉଁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଶମରୀୟାର ନଗରମାନରେ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଏ ଦେଶୀୟ ଦେବତାର ରୀତି ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟକୁ ସିଂହଗଣ ପଠାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, କାରଣ ଲୋକମାନେ ଏ ଦେଶୀୟ ଦେବତାର ରୀତି ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
and to say to/for king Assyria to/for to say [the] nation which to reveal: remove and to dwell in/on/with city Samaria not to know [obj] justice: rule God [the] land: country/planet and to send: depart in/on/with them [obj] [the] lion and behold they to die [obj] them like/as as which nothing they to know [obj] justice: rule God [the] land: country/planet
27 ଏଥିରେ ଅଶୂରର ରାଜା ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ କହିଲା, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାରୁ ଯେଉଁ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଅଛ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣକୁ ସେଠାକୁ ନେଇଯାଅ। ସେମାନେ ସେଠାକୁ ଯାଇ ବାସ କରନ୍ତୁ ଓ ସେହି ଯାଜକ ସେଦେଶୀୟ ଦେବତାର ରୀତି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିଖାଉ।”

28 ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶମରୀୟାରୁ ନେଇ ଯାଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଆସି ବେଥେଲ୍ରେ ବାସ କଲା ଓ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରିବା କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ, ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିଖାଇଲା।
and to come (in): come one from [the] priest which to reveal: remove from Samaria and to dwell in/on/with Bethel Bethel and to be to show [obj] them how? to fear [obj] LORD
29 ତଥାପି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାର ଦେବତା ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ଶମରୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀମାନରେ ଯେସବୁ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଥିଲେ; ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ନିବାସ-ନଗରରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାର ଦେବତା ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ।

30 ପୁଣି ବାବିଲୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ସୁକ୍କୋତ୍ ବନୋତ୍ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ଓ କୂଥୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ନେର୍ଗଲ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ଓ ହମାତୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଅଶୀମା ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ,
and human Babylon to make [obj] Succoth-benoth Succoth-benoth and human Cuthah to make [obj] Nergal and human Hamath to make [obj] Ashima
31 ଓ ଅବ୍ବୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ନିଭସ୍ ଓ ତର୍ତ୍ତକ୍ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ଓ ସଫର୍ବୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ସଫର୍ବୟିମର ଅଦ୍ରମ୍ମେଲକ୍ ଓ ଅନମ୍ମେଲକ୍ ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କଲେ।

32 ଏହିରୂପେ ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭୟ କଲେ ଏବଂ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ସବୁର ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କଲେ। ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀର ଗୃହସବୁରେ ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ।

33 ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭୟ କଲେ, ପୁଣି ଯେଉଁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ସେମାନେ ନୀତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଦେବତାମାନଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ସେବା କଲେ।

34 ସେମାନେ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପୂର୍ବ ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି, କିଅବା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେଉଁ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ନାମ ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ତାଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଧି ଅନୁସାରେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶାସନାନୁସାରେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦତ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଓ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ କରୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି।

35 ସେହି ଯାକୁବ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏକ ନିୟମ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ କହିଥିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣକୁ ଭୟ କରିବ ନାହିଁ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସେବା କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବଳିଦାନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ;
and to cut: make(covenant) LORD with them covenant and to command them to/for to say not to fear God another and not to bow to/for them and not to serve: minister them and not to sacrifice to/for them
36 ମାତ୍ର ଯେ ମହାପରାକ୍ରମ ଓ ବିସ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବାହୁ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୟ କରିବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରିବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବଳିଦାନ କରିବ।

37 ପୁଣି ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଯେ ଯେ ବିଧି, ଶାସନ, ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଓ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଲେଖିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାକାଳ ତାହା ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରିବ; ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଦେଶୀୟ ଦେବତାଗଣକୁ ଭୟ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

38 ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯେଉଁ ନିୟମ କରିଅଛୁ, ତାହା ପାସୋରିବ ନାହିଁ କିଅବା ବିଦେଶୀୟ ଦେବତାଗଣକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୟ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

39 ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୟ କରିବ; ଆଉ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଶତ୍ରୁଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବେ।”

40 ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ତାହା ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବ ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ କର୍ମ କଲେ।

41 ଏହିରୂପେ ଉକ୍ତ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କଲେ ଓ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣର ସେବା କଲେ; ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
