ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 27
1 ଯୋଥମ୍ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ପଚିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ହୋଇଥିଲେ; ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଷୋଳ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ; ତାଙ୍କର ମାତାଙ୍କ ନାମ ଯିରୁଶା, ଯେ ସାଦୋକର କନ୍ୟା ଥିଲେ।
twenty-five years old, was Jotham when he began to reign, and, sixteen years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jerushah, daughter of Zadok.
2 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଆପଣା ପିତା ଉଷୀୟଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ କ୍ରିୟାନୁସାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କର୍ମ କଲେ; ତଥାପି ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଆଉ, ଲୋକମାନେ ସେସମୟରେ ହେଁ ଦୁରାଚରଣ କଲେ।
And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that Uzziah his father had done, only he entered not into the temple of Yahweh, —though still were the people acting corruptly.
3 ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ଉପର ଦ୍ୱାର ଦୃଢ଼ କଲେ, ପୁଣି ଓଫଲର ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଉପରେ ଅନେକ ସ୍ଥାନ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
He, built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh, -and, on the wall of Ophel, built he extensively.
4 ଆହୁରି, ସେ ଯିହୁଦାର ପର୍ବତମୟ ଦେଶରେ ନାନା ନଗର ଓ ବନରେ ଗଡ଼ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଗସବୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।
Cities also, built he, in the hill country of Judah, —and, in the thick woods, built he fortresses and towers.
5 ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ଅମ୍ମୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ରାଜା ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଅମ୍ମୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସେହି ବର୍ଷ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ଶହ ତାଳନ୍ତ ରୂପା ଓ ଦଶ ସହସ୍ର ମହଣ ଗହମ ଓ ଦଶ ସହସ୍ର ମହଣ ଯବ ଦେଲେ। ଅମ୍ମୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଓ ତୃତୀୟ ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେତିକି ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ।
He, also made war against the king of the sons of Ammon, and prevailed against them, and the sons of Ammon gave him, during that year, a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and, of barley, ten thousand, —this, did the sons of Ammon render him, both in the second year, and the third.
6 ଏହିରୂପେ ଯୋଥମ୍ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଆପଣା ପଥ ସଜାଡ଼ିବାରୁ ପରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହେଲେ।
So Jotham strengthened himself, —for he fixed his ways before Yahweh his God.
7 ଏହି ଯୋଥମ୍ଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସକଳ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଆଚରଣ ବିଷୟ, ଦେଖ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖାଅଛି।
But, the rest of the story of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo! there they are written in the book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.
8 ସେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ପଚିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ହୋଇଥିଲେ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଷୋଳ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।
Twenty-five years old, was he when he began to reign, —and, sixteen years, reigned he in Jerusalem.
9 ପୁଣି, ଯୋଥମ୍ଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ, ଲୋକମାନେ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କବର ଦେଲେ; ତହୁଁ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଆହସ୍ ତାଙ୍କର ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him, in the city of David, —and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
