ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 21
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ ମୃତ୍ୟୁବରଣ କଲେ ଓ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରରେ ଆପଣା ପିତୃଲୋକଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ କବର ପାଇଲେ; ତହୁଁ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋରାମ୍ ତାଙ୍କର ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।
And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David, —and Jehoram his son reigned in his steed.
2 ଯିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ଙ୍କ ଔରସଜାତ ଅସରୀୟ, ଯିହୀୟେଲ, ଜିଖରୀୟ, ଅସରୀୟାହ, ମୀଖାୟେଲ ଓ ଶଫଟୀୟ ତାଙ୍କର ଭାଇ ଥିଲେ; ଏସମସ୍ତେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜା ଯିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଥିଲେ।
Now, he, had brethren, sons of Jehoshaphat—Azariah and Jehiel and Zechariah and Azariah, and Michael and Shephatiah, —all these, were sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel,
3 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପିତା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମହାସମ୍ପତ୍ତି, ରୂପା ଓ ସୁନା ଓ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ଓ ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ବେଷ୍ଟିତ ନଗର ଦାନ କଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ଯିହୋରାମ୍ ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ହେବାରୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଦେଲେ।
and their father gave them large presents—of silver and of gold and of precious things, with cities of defence, in Judah, —but, the kingdom, gave he unto Jehoram, for, he, was the firstborn.
4 ଏହି ଯିହୋରାମ୍ ଆପଣା ପିତାଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଅଧିଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇ ଆପଣାକୁ ବଳବାନ କରନ୍ତେ, ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ଭ୍ରାତାଙ୍କୁ, ମଧ୍ୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର କେତେକ ଅଧିପତିଙ୍କୁ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ବଧ କଲେ।
But, when Jehoram had arisen over the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren, with the sword, —moreover also some of the rulers of Israel.
5 ଯିହୋରାମ୍ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ବତିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ହୋଇଥିଲେ; ଆଉ, ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଆଠ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।
Thirty-two years old, was Jehoram when he began to reign, —and, eight years, reigned he in Jerusalem.
6 ପୁଣି ସେ ଆହାବଙ୍କର ବଂଶ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ପଥରେ ଗମନ କଲେ; କାରଣ ସେ ଆହାବଙ୍କର କନ୍ୟାକୁ ବିବାହ କଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ କୁକର୍ମ କଲେ।
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab, for, the daughter of Ahab, had he, to wife, —so he wrought wickedness, in the eyes of Yahweh.
7 ତଥାପି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯେଉଁ ନିୟମ କରିଥିଲେ, ତହିଁ ସକାଶୁ, ପୁଣି ତାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ନିତ୍ୟ ଏକ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ଦେବାକୁ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ଦାଉଦ-ବଂଶକୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସମ୍ମତ ନୋହିଲେ।
Howbeit Yahweh was not willing to destroy the house of David, because of the covenant which he had solemnised, unto David, —and as he had promised to give unto him a lamp, and unto his sons, all the days.
8 ତାଙ୍କ ସମୟରେ ଇଦୋମୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଧୀନତାର ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ହୋଇ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଏକ ରାଜା କଲେ।
In his days, revolted the Edomites, from under the hand of Judah, —and set over themselves a king.
9 ତହିଁରେ ଯିହୋରାମ୍ ଆପଣା ସେନାପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ସଙ୍ଗେ ସମସ୍ତ ରଥ ନେଇ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲେ; ପୁଣି ସେ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳେ ଉଠି ଆପଣାର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗ ବେଷ୍ଟିତ ଇଦୋମୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ରଥାଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂହାର କଲେ।
So Jehoram passed over, with his captains, and all his chariot, with him, -and it came to pass that he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites that were round about unto him, and the chariot-captains.
10 ଏହିରୂପେ ଇଦୋମ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଧୀନତାର ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ହେଲା; ସେହି ସମୟରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଲିବ୍ନା ତାହାର ଅଧୀନତାର ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ହେଲା; ଯେହେତୁ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପିତୃଗଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଥିଲେ।
So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah—unto this day. Then, must Libnah needs revolt at the same time, from under his hand, —because he had forsaken Yahweh, the God of his fathers.
11 ଆହୁରି, ସେ ଯିହୁଦାର ନାନା ପର୍ବତରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରାଇଲେ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାକୁ ବିପଥରେ ନେଲେ।
He too, made high places among the mountains of Judah, —and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to be unchaste, and seduced Judah.
12 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏଲୀୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏକ ପତ୍ର ଆସିଲା, ଯଥା, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତା ଦାଉଦର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପିତା ଯିହୋଶାଫଟ୍ର ପଥରେ କିଅବା ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଆସାର ପଥରେ ଗମନ କରି ନାହଁ;
Then came there unto him, a writing, from Elijah the prophet, saying, —Thus, saith Yahweh, God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa, king of Judah;
13 ମାତ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ପଥରେ ଗମନ କରିଅଛ, ପୁଣି ଆହାବର ବଂଶ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଯିହୁଦାକୁ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରାଇଅଛ, ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତୃବଂଶର ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣକୁ ବଧ କରିଅଛ;
but hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast caused Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to be unchaste, after the unchastities of the house of Ahab, —moreover also, thine own brethren of the house of thy father who were better than thou, hast thou slain,
14 ଏହେତୁ ଦେଖ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପତ୍ନୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିକୁ ମହାଘାତରେ ସଂହାର କରିବେ।
lo! Yahweh, is about to plague, with a great plague, thy people, -and thy children and thy wives, and all thy possessions;
15 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନ୍ତ୍ରପୀଡ଼ାରେ ମହାପୀଡ଼ିତ ହେବ, ଶେଷରେ ସେହି ପୀଡ଼ା ସକାଶୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅନ୍ତ୍ର ଦିନକୁ ଦିନ ବାହରି ପଡ଼ିବ।”
also, thyself, with sore diseases, with disease of thy bowels, -until thy bowels shall fall out, by reason of the disease, in a year added to a year.
16 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିହୋରାମ୍ଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଓ କୂଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଆରବୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମନକୁ ଉତ୍ତେଜିତ କଲେ।
And Yahweh stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and the Arabians, who were under the direction of the Ethiopians;
17 ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆସି ତାହା ଭାଙ୍ଗି ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ ଓ ରାଜଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସକଳ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି, ମଧ୍ୟ ପୁତ୍ରଗଣକୁ ଓ ପତ୍ନୀଗଣକୁ ନେଇଗଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ତାଙ୍କର କନିଷ୍ଠ ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋୟାହସ୍ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଆଉ ତାଙ୍କର ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁତ୍ର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିଲା ନାହିଁ।
and they came up against Judah, and forced their way into it, and carried off all the possessions that were found belonging to the house of the king, moreover also his sons and his wives, —so that there was left him never a son, save only Jehoahaz the youngest of his sons.
18 ଏସବୁର ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅସାଧ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ତ୍ରବ୍ୟାଧିରେ ଆଘାତ କଲେ।
And, after all this, Yahweh plagued him in his bowels with an incurable disease.
19 ତହିଁରେ ସମୟାନୁକ୍ରମେ ଦୁଇ ବର୍ଷ ଶେଷରେ ସେହି ପୀଡ଼ା ସକାଶୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ତ୍ର ବାହାରି ପଡ଼ିଲା ଓ ସେ ଉତ୍କଟ ପୀଡ଼ାରେ ମଲେ। ତହୁଁ ତାଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ପିତୃଗଣର ଦାହ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ତାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଦାହ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And it came to pass, in a year beyond a year, even when the end of the days of two years had passed, that his bowels fell out by reason of his disease, so that he died, of, malignant disease, —and his people made him no burning, like the burning of his fathers.
20 ସେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ବତିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ହୋଇଥିଲେ ଓ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଆଠ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ ଓ ସେ ପ୍ରିୟପାତ୍ର ନ ହୋଇ ମଲେ; ଆଉ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରରେ କବର ଦେଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ କବରରେ ନୁହେଁ।
Thirty-two years old, was he when he began to reign, and, eight years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and went his way—unregretted, and, though they buried him in the city of David, yet, not in the sepulchres of the kings.
