ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 12
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ରିହବୀୟାମଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ୟ ସୁସ୍ଥିର ଓ ସେ ବଳବାନ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କଲେ।
And it came to pass, when the kingdom of Rehoboam was established, and he was strong, that he forsook the law of Jehovah, and all Israel with him.
2 ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସତ୍ୟ-ଲଙ୍ଘନ କରିବାରୁ ରିହବୀୟାମ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ପଞ୍ଚମ ବର୍ଷରେ ମିସରର ରାଜା ଶୀଶକ୍ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆସିଲା;
And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had trespassed against Jehovah,
3 ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗେ ବାର ଶହ ରଥ, ଷାଠିଏ ହଜାର ଅଶ୍ୱାରୂଢ଼ ଥିଲେ ଓ ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗେ ମିସରରୁ ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଲୂବୀୟ ଓ ସୁକ୍କୀୟ ଓ କୂଶୀୟ ଲୋକ ଆସିଲେ।
with twelve hundred chariots, and threescore thousand horsemen. And the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt: the Lubim, the Sukkiim, and the Ethiopians.
4 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯିହୁଦାର ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ବେଷ୍ଟିତ ନଗରସବୁ ହସ୍ତଗତ କରି ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆସିଲା।
And he took the fortified cities which pertained to Judah, and came unto Jerusalem.
5 ତହିଁରେ ଶମୟୀୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା, ଶୀଶକ୍ ସକାଶୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ରିହବୀୟାମ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛ, ଏହେତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୀଶକ୍ ହସ୍ତରେ ଛାଡ଼ିଦେଲୁ।”
Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith Jehovah, Ye have forsaken me, therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
6 ସେତେବେଳେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ଓ ରାଜା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ନମ୍ର କଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଧର୍ମମୟ।”
Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, Jehovah is righteous.
7 ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ନମ୍ର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦେଖନ୍ତେ, ଶମୟୀୟ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା; “ସେମାନେ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କୁ ନମ୍ର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବା ଓ ଶୀଶକ୍ର ହସ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ଉପରେ ଆମ୍ଭର କୋପ ଢଳାଯିବ ନାହିଁ।
And when Jehovah saw that they humbled themselves, the word of Jehovah came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves: I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
8 ତଥାପି ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସେବା ଓ ନାନା ଦେଶୀୟ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସେବା ଅନୁଭବ କରିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ତାହାର ଦାସ ହେବେ।”
Nevertheless they shall be his servants, that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.
9 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ମିସରର ରାଜା ଶୀଶକ୍ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆସି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ସଞ୍ଚିତ ଧନ ଓ ରାଜଗୃହର ସଞ୍ଚିତ ଧନ ନେଇଗଲା; ସେ ସବୁ ନେଇଗଲା; ସେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ନିର୍ମିତ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ-ଢାଲସବୁ ହିଁ ନେଇଗଲା।
So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king’s house: he took all away: he took away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
10 ତହୁଁ ରିହବୀୟାମ ରାଜା ସେହିସବୁର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତେ ପିତ୍ତଳ-ଢାଲ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ରାଜଗୃହର ଦ୍ୱାରପାଳ ପ୍ରହରୀବର୍ଗର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ।
And king Rehoboam made in their stead shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, that kept the door of the king’s house.
11 ଆଉ ରାଜା ଯେତେ ଥର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଗଲେ, ସେତେଥର ପ୍ରହରୀମାନେ ଆସି ତାହା ନେଇଗଲେ, ପୁଣି ତାହାସବୁ ପ୍ରହରୀଶାଳାକୁ ଫେରାଇ ଆଣିଲେ।
And it was so, that, as oft as the king entered into the house of Jehovah, the guard came and bare them, and brought them back into the guard-chamber.
12 ଆଉ, ସେ ଆପଣାକୁ ନମ୍ର କରନ୍ତେ, ତାଙ୍କ ଉପରୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ କୋପ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହେଲା, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ବିନାଶ କଲେ ନାହିଁ; ଆହୁରି ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସଦ୍ଭାବ ଦେଖାଗଲା।
And when he humbled himself, the wrath of Jehovah turned from him, so as not to destroy him altogether: and moreover in Judah there were good things [found].
13 ଏହିରୂପେ ରିହବୀୟାମ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ବଳବାନ କରି ରାଜତ୍ୱ କଲେ; ରିହବୀୟାମ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଏକଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ନାମ ସ୍ଥାପନାର୍ଥେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମୁଦାୟ ବଂଶ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେଉଁ ନଗର ମନୋନୀତ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେହି ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନଗରରେ ସେ ସତର ବର୍ଷ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କଲେ; ତାଙ୍କ ମାତାର ନାମ ନୟମା, ସେ ଅମ୍ମୋନ ଦେଶୀୟା ଥିଲା।
So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which Jehovah had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there: and his mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonitess.
14 ପୁଣି ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣା ମନ ନିବିଷ୍ଟ ନ କରିବାରୁ କୁକର୍ମ କଲା।
And he did that which was evil, because he set not his heart to seek Jehovah.
15 ଏହି ରିହବୀୟାମଙ୍କ କର୍ମର ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ, ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ, ବଂଶାବଳୀ କ୍ରମେ ଶମୟୀୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାର ଓ ଇଦ୍ଦୋ ଦର୍ଶକର ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ କʼଣ ଲେଖା ନାହିଁ? ରିହବୀୟାମ ଓ ଯାରବୀୟାମ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସର୍ବଦା ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଚାଲିଲା।
Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the histories of Shemaiah the prophet and of Iddo the seer, after the manner of genealogies? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
16 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ରିହବୀୟାମ ମୃତ୍ୟୁବରଣ କଲେ ଓ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରରେ କବରପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ; ତହୁଁ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଅବୀୟ ତାଙ୍କ ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।
And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Abijah his son reigned in his stead.
