୧ ତୀମଥି 1
1 ପାଉଲ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ଓ ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ଏବଂ ଭରସାଭୂମି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁସାରେ ଜଣେ ପ୍ରେରିତ,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the appointment of God our Savior, and the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
2 ବିଶ୍ୱାସରେ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ତୀମଥିଙ୍କୁ ପତ୍ର; ପିତା ଈଶ୍ବର ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ, ଦୟା ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ହେଉ।
to Timothy, my true son in the faith; grace, mercy, peace from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 ମୁଁ ମାକିଦନିଆକୁ ଯିବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେପ୍ରକାର ଅନୁରୋଧ କରିଥିଲି, ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏଫିସରେ ରହି କେତେକ ଲୋକ ଯେପରି ଭିନ୍ନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ନ ଦିଅନ୍ତି
As, on going into Macedonia, I besought you to remain in Ephesus, that you might charge some that they teach no other thing,
4 କି କଳ୍ପିତ ଗଳ୍ପ ଓ ଅଶେଷ ବଂଶାବଳୀରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ ନ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ; ସେହିସବୁ ତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ଉପକାରୀ ନ ହୋଇ ବରଂ ଯୁକ୍ତିତର୍କ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରେ।
nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which produce disputes rather than godly edification, which is in faith;
5 କିନ୍ତୁ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ହୃଦୟ, ଶୁଚି ବିବେକ ଓ ନିଷ୍କପଟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସରୁ ଜାତ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରେମ,
(Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and out of a good conscience, and out of faith unfeigned:
6 ତାହା ଧର୍ମ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଅଟେ; କେହି କେହି ଏସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ପ୍ରତି ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ନ କରି ଅସାର କଥାରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ପଥଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି;
which things some not having aimed at, have turned aside to idle disputation,
7 ସେମାନେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଶିକ୍ଷକ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ଯାହା କହନ୍ତି, କି କେଉଁ ବିଷୟରେ ଦୃଢ଼ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ତାହା ନିଜେ ବୁଝନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
desiring to be teachers of law, though understanding neither what they say nor of what they boldly affirm.
8 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିରୂପିତ ନ ହୋଇ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାଚାରୀ ଓ ଅବାଧ୍ୟ, ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ପାପୀ, ଅଶୁଚି ଓ ଧର୍ମଦ୍ୱେଷୀ, ପିତୃହନ୍ତା ଓ ମାତୃହନ୍ତା,
But we know that the law is good, if any one use it lawfully;
9 ନରହନ୍ତା, ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ, ପୁଂମୈଥୁନକାରୀ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ଚୋର, ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ଓ ମିଥ୍ୟା ଶପଥକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପୁଣି, ଉତ୍ତମ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ବିପରୀତରେ ଯେକୌଣସି ବିଷୟ ଥାଏ, ତାହା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯେ ନିରୂପିତ ହୋଇଅଛି,
knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and for scorners, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for man-slayers,
10 ଏହା ଜାଣି ଯଦି କେହି ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାର ଉଚିତ୍ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରେ, ତେବେ ତାହା ଯେ ଉତ୍ତମ, ଏହା ଅାମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ;
for lewd persons, for sodomites, for men-stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and for whatever other thing is opposed to sound teaching,
11 ଏହା ତ ମୋ ନିକଟରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ପରମଧନ୍ୟ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବମୟ ସୁସମାଚାରର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଅଟେ।
according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which has been intrusted to me.
12 ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁ ମୋତେ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଉଅଛି ଯେ, ସେ ମୋତେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ମନେ କରି ସେବକ ପଦରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି,
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me power, because he counted me faithful, and put me into the ministry;
13 ଯଦ୍ୟପି ମୁଁ ପୂର୍ବେ ନିନ୍ଦକ, ତାଡ଼ନାକାରୀ ଓ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାରୀ ଥିଲି; କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଅବିଶ୍ୱାସ ହେତୁ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ପଣରେ ତାହା କରିଥିଲି ବୋଲି ଦୟା ପାଇଲି;
me, I say, who before was a reviler and a persecutor and an overbearing man. But I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief:
14 ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଓ ପ୍ରେମ ସହକାରେ ମୋ ପ୍ରତି ଅତି ପ୍ରଚୁର ହେଲା।
and the grace of our Lord was very abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁ ଯେ ଜଗତକୁ ଆସିଲେ; ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଓ ସର୍ବତୋଭାବେ ଗ୍ରହଣ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ; ସେହି ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଧାନ।
Assuredly true and worthy of all acceptation is this saying: that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
16 ତଥାପି ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ କାଳରେ ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ପାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏକ ଉଦାହରଣ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଧାନ ପାପୀ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ମୋʼଠାରେ ସେ ଯେପରି ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଚିରସହିଷ୍ଣୁତା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଦୟା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲି। (aiōnios g166)
But for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long-suffering, for an example to those who might afterward believe on him in order to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
17 ଅକ୍ଷୟ, ଅଦୃଶ୍ୟ, ଅଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଈଶ୍ବର ଯେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳୀନ ରାଜା, ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ଭ୍ରମ ଓ ଗୌରବ ଯୁଗେ ଯୁଗେ ହେଉ। ଆମେନ୍। (aiōn g165)
Now to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, be honor and glory from age to age. Amen.) (aiōn g165)
18 ହେ ବତ୍ସ ତୀମଥି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିଷୟରେ ପୂର୍ବରେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଭାବବାଣୀ ଅନୁସାରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଉଅଛି, ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ଭାବବାଣୀ ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିପାର;
This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, in accordance with the preceding prophecies concerning you, that by them you may war the good warfare,
19 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଓ ଶୁଚି ବିବେକ ଧରି ରଖ; ତାହା ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବାରୁ କେତେକଙ୍କର ବିଶ୍ୱାସରୂପ ଜାହାଜ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଯାଇଅଛି,
holding faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust from them, as it respects faith have made shipwreck; of whom are Hymenæus and Alexander,
20 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ହୁମନାୟ ଓ ଆଲେକ୍ଜାଣ୍ଡର ଅନ୍ୟତମ; ଏମାନେ ଯେପରି ଶାସନ ପାଇ ଈଶ୍ବର ନିନ୍ଦା ନ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ଏମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୟତାନ ହାତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲି।
whom I have delivered to Satan, that they may learn not to revile.
