୧ ତୀମଥି 6
1 ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ଦାସତ୍ୱରୂପ ଜୁଆଳିର ଅଧୀନରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା କର୍ତ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯଥୋଚିତ ସମ୍ମାନ ପାଇବାର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବୋଲି ଜାଣନ୍ତୁ, ଯେପରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନାମ ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ନିନ୍ଦା ନ ହୁଏ।
Let as many as are servants under the yoke account their own masters worthy of all honor; that the name of God and his doctrine may not be blasphemed:
2 ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର କର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ, ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭାଇ ବୋଲି ଜାଣି ତୁଚ୍ଛ ନ କରନ୍ତୁ, ବରଂ ଅଧିକ ଯତ୍ନ ସହକାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସେବା କରନ୍ତୁ, କାରଣ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସେବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉପକାର ପାଆନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଓ ପ୍ରିୟପାତ୍ର। ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ଉପଦେଶ ଦିଅ।
and let not those who have believing masters, despise them, because they are brethren; but serve them more readily, because they are faithful and beloved by God, partakers of his grace.
3 କେହି ଯଦି ଭିନ୍ନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ହିତଜନକ ବାକ୍ୟ ଓ ଈଶ୍ବରପରାୟଣତା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଗ୍ରହଣ ନ କରେ,
These things teach and exhort. If any one teach otherwise, and adhere not to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 ତେବେ ସେ ଅସାରଗର୍ବୀ ଓ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ, ପୁଣି, ବାଦାନୁବାଦ ଓ ଯୁକ୍ତିତର୍କରେ ଲିପ୍ତ; ସେଥିରୁ ଈର୍ଷା, ବିବାଦ, ପରନିନ୍ଦା, ମନ୍ଦ ସନ୍ଦେହ,
he is proud, knowing nothing, but is delirious about questions and strifes of words: from which cometh envy, contention, calumnies, wicked suspicions, perverse debates of men corrupted in mind,
5 ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରପରାୟଣତାକୁ ଲାଭର ଉପାୟ ବୋଲି ମନେ କରନ୍ତି, ଏପରି ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟମନା ଓ ସତ୍ୟବର୍ଜିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସର୍ବଦା ବିରୋଧ ଜନ୍ମେ।
and void of truth, accounting gain to be godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 ଈଶ୍ବରପରାୟଣତା ସନ୍ତୋଷଭାବଯୁକ୍ତ ହେଲେ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ବିଶେଷ ଲାଭଜନକ;
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜଗତକୁ କିଛି ଆଣି ନାହୁଁ, ପୁଣି, ଏଠାରୁ କିଛି ନେଇଯାଇ ନ ପାରୁ;
For we brought nothing into the world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out:
8 ଏଣୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଥିଲେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ।
having therefore food and raiment, let us be herewith content.
9 ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଧନୀ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଓ ଫାନ୍ଦରେ, ପୁଣି, ଅନେକ ପ୍ରକାର ଭୁଲ୍ ଓ କ୍ଷତିଜନକ ଅଭିଳାଷରେ ପଡ଼ନ୍ତି, ଏହିସବୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ଧ୍ୱଂସ ଓ ବିନାଶରୂପ ସାଗରରେ ବୁଡ଼ାଇ ଦିଏ।
But they, that will be rich, fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into ruin and perdition.
10 କାରଣ ଧନଲୋଭ ସମସ୍ତ ମନ୍ଦତାର ମୂଳ; କେହି କେହି ସେଥିରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପଥଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ବହୁ ଦୁଃଖରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ହୃଦୟରେ ଦୁଃଖ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
For the love of money is the root of all evils, which some coveting after have been led astray from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ହେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତଠାରୁ ପଳାୟନ କରି ଧାର୍ମିକତା, ଈଶ୍ବରପରାୟଣତା, ବିଶ୍ୱାସ, ପ୍ରେମ, ଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟ, ସହିଷ୍ଣୁତା ଓ ନମ୍ରତାର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୁଅ।
But do thou, O man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, piety, fidelity, love, patience, meekness.
12 ବିଶ୍ୱାସର ଉତ୍ତମ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପ୍ରାଣପଣ କର, ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ଧରି ରଖ; ସେଥିପାଇଁ ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆହୂତ ହୋଇଅଛ ଓ ଅନେକ ସାକ୍ଷୀଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଇଅଛ। (aiōnios g166)
Maintain the glorious combat of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which thou hast been called, and hast made a good profession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଜୀବନଦାତା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ, ପୁଣି, ପନ୍ତିୟ ପୀଲାତଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟଦାତା ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଉଅଛି,
I charge thee before God, who giveth life to all, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed a good confession before Pontius Pilate,
14 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଆଗମନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଧର୍ମବିଧି ପାଳନ କରି ନିଷ୍କଳଙ୍କ ଓ ଅନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ହୋଇ ରୁହ।
that thou keep this commandment, unspotted and blameless, till the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ;
15 ସେ ପରମଧନ୍ୟ ଏକମାତ୍ର ସମ୍ରାଟ, ଯେ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କର ରାଜା ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଭୁ,
which He will manifest in his own times, who is the blessed and only potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords,
16 ଯେ ଏକମାତ୍ର ଅମର ଓ ଅଗମ୍ୟ ଜ଼୍ୟୋତିର୍ନିବାସୀ, ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ମର୍ତ୍ତ୍ୟ କେବେ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ ବା ଦେଖି ପାରେ ନାହିଁ, ସେ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ସମୟରେ ତାହା ଦର୍ଶାଇବେ; ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ଭ୍ରମ ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଉ। ଆମେନ୍। (aiōnios g166)
who alone hath immortality, dwelling in light inaccessible, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power everlasting. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଏହିକାଳରେ ଧନୀ, ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଅହଙ୍କାରୀ ନ ହୋଇ ଏବଂ ଅସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଧନ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର ନ କରି, ବରଂ ଉପଭୋଗ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଭାବେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କରନ୍ତି ଯେଉଁ ଈଶ୍ବର, ସେହି ଈଶ୍ବର ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରନ୍ତି, (aiōn g165)
Charge them, that are rich in this world, not to be high-minded nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly affords us all things for enjoyment: charge them to do good, (aiōn g165)
18 ପୁଣି, ଅନ୍ୟର ଉପକାର କରି ସମସ୍ତ ସତ୍କର୍ମରେ ଧନୀ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଆଉ ମୁକ୍ତ ହସ୍ତରେ ଓ ଉଦାର ଭାବରେ ଦାନ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ;
to be rich in good works, to be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର କଲେ ସେମାନେ ଭାବୀ ଜୀବନ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ମୂଳଧନ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରିବେ, ଯେପରି ପ୍ରକୃତ ଜୀବନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
treasuring up to themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may obtain eternal life.
20 ହେ ତୀମଥି, ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରେ ଯାହା ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା ରକ୍ଷା କର; ଅସାର ବକୁଆପଣ ଓ କଥା କଥାରେ ଜ୍ଞାନର ଯୁକ୍ତିତର୍କରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହୁଅ;
O Timothy, keep that with which thou art entrusted, avoiding profane empty babblings, and the oppositions of science falsely so called:
21 କେହି କେହି ତାହା ପାଳନ ନ କରି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ବିଷୟରେ ପଥଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି। ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେଉ।
which some pretending to, have erred from the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
