ପ୍ରଥମ ରାଜାବଳୀ 16

1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ବାଶାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ହନାନିର ପୁତ୍ର ଯେହୂଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା, ଯଥା,

Then the word of the Lord came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasa, saying:

2 “ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଧୂଳିରୁ ଉଠାଇ ଆପଣା ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରାଜା କଲୁ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାରବୀୟାମର ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଅଛ ଓ ଆପଣା ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ପାପ କରାଇଅଛ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାପ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କଲ;

Forasmuch as I have exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins:

3 ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାଶାକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ଗୃହକୁ ନିଃଶେଷ ରୂପେ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଗୃହକୁ ନବାଟର ପୁତ୍ର ଯାରବୀୟାମର ଗୃହ ତୁଲ୍ୟ କରିବା।

Behold, I will cut down the posterity of Baasa, and the posterity of his house, and I will make thy house as the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat.

4 ବାଶାର କେହି ନଗରରେ ମଲେ, କୁକ୍କୁରମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଖାଇବେ ଓ ତାହାର କେହି କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ମଲେ, ଆକାଶର ପକ୍ଷୀମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଖାଇବେ।”

Him that dieth of Baasa in the city, the dogs shall eat: and him that dieth of his in the country, the fowls of the air shall devour.

5 ବାଶାଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର କ୍ରିୟା ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମ ବିଷୟ କି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖା ନାହିଁ?

But the rest of the acts of Baasa and all that he did, and his battles, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

6 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ବାଶାଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ, ସେ ତିର୍ସାରେ କବର ପାଇଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଏଲା ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

So Baasa slept with his fathers, and was buried in Thersa: and Ela his son reigned in his stead.

7 ତଥାପି ବାଶା ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ବଂଶ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ହନାନିର ପୁତ୍ର ଯେହୂ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା, ଯେହେତୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତକୃତ କର୍ମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ସବୁ କୁକର୍ମ କରି ଯାରବୀୟାମଙ୍କର ବଂଶ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇଥିଲେ ଓ ତାହାକୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କରିଥିଲେ।

And when the word of the Lord came in the hand of Jehu the son of Hanani the prophet, against Baasa, and against his house, and against all the evil that he had done before the Lord, to provoke him to anger by the works of his hands, to become as the house of Jeroboam: for this cause he slew him, that is to say, Jehu the son of Hanani, the prophet.

8 ଯିହୁଦାର ଆସା ରାଜାଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଛବିଶ ବର୍ଷରେ ବାଶାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଏଲା ତିର୍ସାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଦୁଇ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

In the six and twentieth year of Asa king of Juda, Ela the son of Baasa reigned over Israel in Thersa two years.

9 ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତାଙ୍କର ରଥସମୂହର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧେକର ଅଧିପତି ସିମ୍ରି ନାମକ ତାଙ୍କର ଦାସ ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ କଲେ; ଏଲା ତିର୍ସାରେ ଥାଇ ତିର୍ସାସ୍ଥିତ ଆପଣା ଗୃହର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଅର୍ସାର ଗୃହରେ ପାନ କରି ମତ୍ତ ହେଉଥିଲେ;

And his servant Zambri, who was captain of half the horsemen, rebelled against him: now Ela was drinking in Thersa, and drunk in the house of Arsa the governor of Thersa.

10 ଏପରି ସମୟରେ ସିମ୍ରି ଭିତରକୁ ଯାଇ ଯିହୁଦା-ରାଜା ଆସାଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ସତାଇଶ ବର୍ଷରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଆଘାତ କରି ବଧ କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

And Zambri rushing in, struck him and slew him in the seven and twentieth year of Asa king of Juda, and he reigned in his stead.

11 ପୁଣି, ସେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଆପଣା ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସିବା ମାତ୍ର ସେ ବାଶାଙ୍କର ସମୁଦାୟ ବଂଶକୁ ସଂହାର କଲେ; ସେ ତାଙ୍କର କି ତାଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାତିମାନଙ୍କର କି ତାଙ୍କ ମିତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କର କାହାରି ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁଂସନ୍ତାନ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରଖିଲେ ନାହିଁ।

And when he was king and sat upon his throne, he slew all the house of Baasa, and he left not one thereof to piss against a wall, and all his kinsfolks and friends.

12 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେହୂ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବାଶାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିଥିଲେ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ସିମ୍ରି ବାଶାଙ୍କର ସମଗ୍ର ବଂଶ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କଲେ;

And Zambri destroyed all the house of Baasa, according to the word of the Lord, that he had spoken to Baasa in the hand of Jehu the prophet,

13 ବାଶା ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଏଲା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଅସାରତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯେଉଁ ପାପ କଲେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ପାପ କରାଇଲେ, ବାଶାଙ୍କର ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ପାପ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଏଲାଙ୍କର ପାପ ଏଥିର କାରଣ।

For all the sins of Baasa, and the sins of Ela his son, who sinned, and made Israel to sin, provoking the Lord the God of Israel with their vanities.

14 ଏଲାଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ କ୍ରିୟା କି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କର ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖା ନାହିଁ?

But the rest of the acts of Ela, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

15 ଯିହୁଦା-ରାଜା ଆସାଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ସତାଇଶ ବର୍ଷରେ ସିମ୍ରି ତିର୍ସାରେ ସାତ ଦିନ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କଲେ। ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଗିବ୍ବଥୋନ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଛାଉଣି ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଥିଲେ।

In the seven and twentieth year of Asa king of Juda, Zambri reigned seven days in Thersa: now the army was besieging Gebbethon a city of the Philistines.

16 ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରେ ଛାଉଣି ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଯେ, ସିମ୍ରି ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ମଧ୍ୟ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଏହେତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସେହି ଦିନ ଛାଉଣି ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅମ୍ରି ନାମକ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜା କଲେ।

And when they heard that Zambri had rebelled, and slain the king, all Israel made Amri their king, who was general over Israel in the camp that day.

17 ତହୁଁ ଅମ୍ରି ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଗିବ୍ବଥୋନରୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କରି ତିର୍ସା ଅବରୋଧ କଲେ।

And Amri went up, and all Israel with him from Gebbethon, and they besieged Thersa.

18 ତହିଁରେ ସିମ୍ରି ନଗର ହସ୍ତଗତ ହେବାର ଦେଖି ରାଜଗୃହର ଦୁର୍ଗକୁ ଯାଇ ଆପଣା ଉପରେ ରାଜଗୃହରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ଲଗାଇ ତାହା ଦଗ୍ଧ କଲେ;

And Zambri seeing that the city was about to be taken, went into the palace and burnt himself with the king’s house: and he died

19 ପୁଣି, ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ କୁକର୍ମ କରିବାରେ, ଯାରବୀୟାମଙ୍କର ପଥରେ ଚାଲିବାରେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ପାପ କରାଇବାରେ ଆପେ ଯେଉଁ ପାପ କଲେ, ତାଙ୍କ କୃତ ସେହି ପାପ ସକାଶୁ ମଲେ।

In his sins, which he had sinned, doing evil before the Lord, and walking in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin, wherewith he made Israel to sin.

20 ସିମ୍ରିଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ କୃତ ରାଜଦ୍ରୋହ ବିଷୟ କି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖା ନାହିଁ?

But the rest of the acts of Zambri, and of his conspiracy and tyranny, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

21 ସେସମୟରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦୁଇ ଭାଗରେ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହେଲେ; ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧେକ ଲୋକ ଗୀନତର ପୁତ୍ର ତିବ୍ନିକୁ ରାଜା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହେଲେ ଓ ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧେକ ଅମ୍ରିଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହେଲେ।

Then were the people of Israel divided into two parts: one half of the people followed Thebni the son of Gineth, to make him king: and one half followed Amri.

22 ମାତ୍ର ଅମ୍ରିଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଗୀନତର ପୁତ୍ର ତିବ୍ନିର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ; ତିବ୍ନି ମଲା ଓ ଅମ୍ରି ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

But the people that were with Amri, prevailed over the people that followed Thebni the son of Gineth: and Thebni died, and Amri reigned.

23 ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଆସାଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଏକତିରିଶ ବର୍ଷରେ ଅମ୍ରି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିବାର ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ; ତିର୍ସାରେ ସେ ଛଅ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

In the one and thirtieth year of Asa king of Juda, Amri reigned over Israel twelve years: in Thersa he reigned six years.

24 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଦୁଇ ତାଳନ୍ତ ରୂପାରେ ଶେମରଠାରୁ ଶମିରୋଣ୍‍ ପର୍ବତ କ୍ରୟ କଲେ ଓ ସେହି ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ଏକ ନଗର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ସେହି ପର୍ବତର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଶେମରର ନାମାନୁସାରେ ଆପଣା ନିର୍ମିତ ନଗରର ନାମ ଶମରୀୟା ରଖିଲେ।

And he bought the hill of Samaria of Semer for two talents of silver: and he built upon it, and he called the city which he built Samaria, after the name of Semer the owner of the hill.

25 ଆଉ ଅମ୍ରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ କୁକର୍ମ କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ ଦୁଷ୍ଟାଚରଣ କଲେ।

And Amri did evil in the sight of the Lord, and acted wickedly above all that were before him.

26 କାରଣ ସେ ନବାଟର ପୁତ୍ର ଯାରବୀୟାମଙ୍କର ସକଳ ପଥରେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଅସାରତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିରକ୍ତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ପାପ କରାଇଥିଲେ, ତାଙ୍କର ସେହି ପାପ-ପଥରେ ଅମ୍ରି ଚାଲିଲେ।

And he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, and in his sins wherewith he made Israel to sin: to provoke the Lord the God of Israel to anger with their vanities.

27 ଅମ୍ରିଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ କ୍ରିୟାର ବୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ପରାକ୍ରମସବୁ କି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖା ନାହିଁ?

Now the rest of the acts of Amri, and the battles he fought, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?

28 ଅମ୍ରିଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ, ସେ ଶମରୀୟାରେ କବରପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ; ପୁଣି, ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଆହାବ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଦରେ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

And Amri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria, and Achab his son reigned in his stead.

29 ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଆସାଙ୍କ ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଅଠତିରିଶି ବର୍ଷରେ ଅମ୍ରିଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଆହାବ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ ଓ ଅମ୍ରିଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଆହାବ ଶମରୀୟାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ବାଇଶ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟ କଲେ।

Now Achab the son of Amri reigned over Israel in the eight and thirtieth year of Asa king of Juda. And Achab the son of Amri reigned over Israel in Samaria two and twenty years.

30 ପୁଣି, ଅମ୍ରିଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଆହାବ ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଅଧିକ କୁକର୍ମ କଲେ।

And Achab the son of Amri did evil in the sight of the Lord above all that were before him.

31 ପୁଣି, ନବାଟର ପୁତ୍ର ଯାରବୀୟାମଙ୍କ ପାପ-ପଥରେ ଚାଲିବାର ତାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ତୁଚ୍ଛ ବିଷୟ ହେଲା ପରି ସେ ସୀଦୋନୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଇତ୍‍ବାଲ ରାଜାର କନ୍ୟା ଈଷେବଲ୍‍କୁ ବିବାହ କଲେ ଓ ଯାଇ ବାଲ୍‍ର ସେବା କରି ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ।

Nor was it enough for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat: but he also took to wife Jezabel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians. And he went, and served Baal, and adored him.

32 ଆଉ ସେ ଶମରୀୟାସ୍ଥିତ ଆପଣା ନିର୍ମିତ ବାଲ୍‍ର ଗୃହରେ ବାଲ୍‍ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦି ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।

And he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria,

33 ଆଉ ଆହାବ ଆଶେରା ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ଆହାବ ଆପଣା ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସମସ୍ତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆହୁରି ଅଧିକ ବିରକ୍ତିଜନକ କର୍ମ କଲେ।

And he planted a grove: and Achab did more to provoke the Lord the God of Israel, than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

34 ତାଙ୍କର ସମୟରେ ବେଥେଲୀୟ ହୀୟେଲ ଯିରୀହୋ ନଗର ପୁନର୍ବାର ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟଙ୍କ ଦେଇ ଯାହା କହିଥିଲେ; ସେହି ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ପୁତ୍ର ଅବୀରାମର ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ସହିତ ନଗରର ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ ଓ ଆପଣା କନିଷ୍ଠ ପୁତ୍ର ସଗୂବର ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ସହିତ ତହିଁର ଦ୍ୱାରମାନ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ।

In his days Hiel of Bethel built Jericho: in Abiram his firstborn he laid its foundations: and in his youngest son Segub he set up the gates thereof: according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke in the hand of Josue the son of Nun.
