କରିନ୍ଥୀୟ 13
1 ଯଦି ମୁଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଓ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ଭାଷାରେ କଥା କହେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେମ ନ ଥାଏ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ ଠଣ୍ ଠଣ୍ ଶବ୍ଦକାରକ ପିତଳ ଘଣ୍ଟା କିମ୍ବା ଝମ୍ ଝମ୍ ଶବ୍ଦକାରୀ ଝାଞ୍ଜ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହୋଇଅଛି।
If I speak with the tongues of men and of agents, but have not love, I have become sounding brass, or a clashing cymbal.
2 ଆଉ, ଯଦି ମୋହର ଭାବବାଣୀ କହିବାର ଶକ୍ତି ଥାଏ ଏବଂ ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତ ନିଗୂଢ଼ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଜ୍ଞାନରେ ପାରଦର୍ଶୀ ହୋଇଥାଏ, ପୁଣି, ପର୍ବତକୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋହର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଥାଏ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେମ ନ ଥାଏ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ କିଛି ନୁହେଁ।
And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
3 ପୁଣି, ଯଦି ମୁଁ ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୋଜନ କରାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋହର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱ ବିତରଣ କରେ, ପୁଣି, ଯଦି ମୁଁ ମୋହର ଶରୀରକୁ ଦଗ୍ଧ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେମ ନ ଥାଏ, ତେବେ ମୋହର କିଛି ଲାଭ ନାହିଁ।
And if I dole out all things possessed by me, and if I deliver my body so that I may be burned, and have not love, I benefit nothing.
4 ପ୍ରେମ ଦୀର୍ଘସହିଷ୍ଣୁ ପ୍ରେମ ହିତଜନକ, ଈର୍ଷା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଆତ୍ମବଡ଼ିମା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଅହଙ୍କାର କରେ ନାହିଁ,
Love is patient and is kind. Love does not envy. Love does not brag, and is not puffed up.
5 ଅନୁଚିତ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରେ ନାହିଁ, ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ବିରକ୍ତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ, ଅପକାର ସ୍ମରଣରେ ରଖେ ନାହିଁ,
It does not behave improperly, does not seek the things of itself, is not made sharp, does not contemplate evil,
6 ଅଧର୍ମରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରେ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସତ୍ୟରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରେ;
does not rejoice in wrong but rejoices in the truth,
7 ସମସ୍ତ ସହ୍ୟ କରେ, ସମସ୍ତ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ, ସମସ୍ତ ଭରସା କରେ, ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ଧୈର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଧରି ରହେ।
covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 ପ୍ରେମ କଦାପି ଶେଷ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ଭାବବାଣୀ ଥାଏ, ତାହା ଲୋପ ହେବ; ଯଦି ପରଭାଷା ଥାଏ, ସେହିସବୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହେବ; ଯଦି ଜ୍ଞାନ ଥାଏ, ତାହା ଲୋପ ହେବ।
Love never fails. But whether prophecies, they will be abolished, whether tongues, they will cease, whether knowledge, it will be abolished.
9 କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆଂଶିକ ଭାବେ ଜାଣୁ ଓ ଆଂଶିକ ଭାବେ ଭାବବାଣୀ କହୁ।
But we know in part, and we prophesy in part,
10 କିନ୍ତୁ ସିଦ୍ଧ ବିଷୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ ଆଂଶିକ ବିଷୟର ଲୋପ ହେବ।
but when the perfect comes, then what is in part will be abolished.
11 ଶିଶୁ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ମୁଁ ଶିଶୁ ପରି କଥା କହୁଥିଲି, ଶିଶୁ ପରି ଭାବୁଥିଲି, ଶିଶୁ ପରି ବିଚାର କରୁଥିଲି; ବୟସପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଶିଶୁର ବିଷୟସବୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କଲି।
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I reasoned as a child, but when I became a man, I abolished the childish things.
12 କାରଣ ଏବେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଗୂଢ଼ ବାକ୍ୟରୂପ ଦର୍ପଣର ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ଦେଖୁଅଛୁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେତେବେଳେ ମୁଖାମୁଖି ହୋଇ ଦେଖିବା ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆସିବେ; ଏତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ଆଂଶିକ ଭାବେ ଜାଣୁଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେତେବେଳେ, ମୁଁ ଯେପରି ପରିଚିତ, ସେହିପରି ମଧ୍ୟ ପରିଚୟ ପାଇବି।
For now we see by polished metal, in dimness, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know just as also I was known.
13 ଅତଏବ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ, ଭରସା, ପ୍ରେମ, ଏହି ତିନି ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଅଟେ, ଆଉ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରେମ ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟ।
And now remain faith, hope, love, these three, but the greater of these is love.
