ପ୍ରଥମ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 18

1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରି ନତ କଲେ; ଆଉ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରୁ ଗାଥ୍‍ ଓ ତହିଁର ଉପନଗରସକଳ ହରଣ କଲେ।

Some time later, David defeated the Philistines, subdued them, and took Gath and its villages from the hand of the Philistines.

2 ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ମୋୟାବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ମୋୟାବୀୟମାନେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଦାସ ହୋଇ ଭେଟି ଆଣିଲେ।

David also defeated the Moabites, and they became subject to David and brought him tribute.

3 ଆହୁରି ସୋବାର ରାଜା ହଦଦେଷର ଫରାତ୍‍ ନଦୀ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣା ରାଜ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବାକୁ ଯିବା ସମୟରେ ଦାଉଦ ତାହାକୁ ହମାତ୍‍ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ।

As far as Hamath, David also defeated King Hadadezer of Zobah, who had marched out to establish his dominion along the Euphrates River.

4 ପୁଣି, ଦାଉଦ ତାହାଠାରୁ ଏକ ସହସ୍ର ରଥ ଓ ସାତ ସହସ୍ର ଅଶ୍ୱାରୂଢ଼ ଓ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ସହସ୍ର ପଦାତିକ ସୈନ୍ୟ ନେଲେ; ଆଉ ଦାଉଦ ରଥ-ଅଶ୍ୱ ସମସ୍ତର ଗୋଡ଼-ଶିରା କାଟି ପକାଇଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ତହିଁ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଶହେ ରଥ ପାଇଁ ଅଶ୍ୱ ରଖିଲେ;

David captured from him a thousand chariots, seven thousand charioteers, and twenty thousand foot soldiers, and he hamstrung all the horses except a hundred he kept for the chariots.

5 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକର ଅରାମୀୟମାନେ ସୋବାର ରାଜା ହଦଦେଷରକୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବାକୁ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ଦାଉଦ ସେହି ଅରାମୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ବାଇଶ ହଜାର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଆଘାତ କଲେ।

When the Arameans of Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand men.

6 ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦ ଦମ୍ମେଶକର ଅରାମ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରହରୀ-ଦଳ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ; ପୁଣି, ଅରାମୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଦାସ ହୋଇ ଭେଟି ଆଣିଲେ। ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁଆଡ଼େ ଗଲେ; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଜୟ ଦାନ କଲେ।

Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to David and brought him tribute. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.

7 ଆଉ, ଦାଉଦ ହଦଦେଷରର ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ-ଢାଲସବୁ ନେଇ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଆଣିଲେ।

And David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.

8 ପୁଣି, ଦାଉଦ ହଦଦେଷରର ଅଧିକାରସ୍ଥ ଟିଭତ୍‍ ଓ କୂନ୍‍ ନଗରରୁ ଅଧିକ ପରିମାଣର ପିତ୍ତଳ ଆଣିଲେ, ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ଶଲୋମନ ପିତ୍ତଳମୟ ସମୁଦ୍ରରୂପ ପାତ୍ର ଓ ଦୁଇ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଓ ପିତ୍ତଳମୟ ପାତ୍ରସକଳ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ।

And from Tibhath and Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took a large amount of bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze Sea, the pillars, and various bronze articles.

9 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦ ସୋବାର ରାଜା ହଦଦେଷରର ସମସ୍ତ ସୈନ୍ୟଦଳକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ହମାତ୍‍ର ରାଜା ତୟି ଶୁଣନ୍ତେ,

When King Tou of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,

10 ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ହଦଦେଷରର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରି ତାହାକୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବା ସକାଶୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ହଦୋରାମକୁ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଲା; ଯେହେତୁ ହଦଦେଷରର ତୟି ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଥିଲା; ଆଉ ହଦୋରାମ ସହିତ ସୁନା ଓ ରୂପା ଓ ପିତ୍ତଳର ସର୍ବପ୍ରକାର ପାତ୍ର ଥିଲା।

he sent his son Hadoram to greet King David and bless him for fighting and defeating Hadadezer, who had been at war with Tou. Hadoram brought all kinds of articles of gold and silver and bronze,

11 ଦାଉଦ ରାଜା ଇଦୋମ ଓ ମୋୟାବ ଓ ଅମ୍ମୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଓ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟଗଣ ଓ ଅମାଲେକ ପ୍ରଭୃତି ସମସ୍ତ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଠାରୁ ଯେଉଁ ସୁନା ଓ ରୂପା ଆଣିଥିଲେ ତହିଁ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଏହିସବୁ ହିଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପବିତ୍ର କଲେ।

and King David dedicated these to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had carried off from all these nations—from Edom and Moab, and from the Ammonites, Philistines, and Amalekites.

12 ଆହୁରି ସରୁୟାର ପୁତ୍ର ଅବୀଶୟ ଲବଣ ଉପତ୍ୟକାରେ ଅଠର ହଜାର ଇଦୋମୀୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କଲା।

Moreover, Abishai son of Zeruiah struck down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

13 ଆଉ ସେ ଇଦୋମରେ ପ୍ରହରୀ-ଦଳ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲା; ତହିଁରେ ଇଦୋମୀୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଦାସ ହେଲେ। ପୁଣି, ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁଆଡ଼େ ଗଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଜୟ ଦାନ କଲେ।

He placed garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites were subject to David. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.

14 ଏହିରୂପେ ଦାଉଦ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କଲେ ଓ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବିଚାର ଓ ନ୍ୟାୟ କଲେ।

Thus David reigned over all Israel and administered justice and righteousness for all his people:

15 ପୁଣି, ସରୁୟାର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋୟାବ ସୈନ୍ୟ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଥିଲା; ଆଉ ଅହୀଲୂଦର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶାଫଟ୍‍ ଇତିହାସ ଲେଖକ ଥିଲା।

Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;

16 ପୁଣି, ଅହୀଟୂବ୍‍ର ପୁତ୍ର ସାଦୋକ ଓ ଅବୀୟାଥରର ପୁତ୍ର ଅହୀମେଲକ୍‍ ଯାଜକ ଥିଲେ; ଆଉ, ଶାବ୍ଶା ଲେଖକ ଥିଲା।

Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests; Shavsha was the scribe;

17 ପୁଣି, ଯିହୋୟାଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ବନାୟ କରେଥୀୟ ଓ ପଲେଥୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ଥିଲା; ଆଉ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ରମାନେ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଥିଲେ।

Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief officials at the king’s side.
