ପ୍ରଥମ ବଂଶାବଳୀ 13
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦ ସହସ୍ରପତିମାନଙ୍କର, ଶତପତିମାନଙ୍କର ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ।
And David consulted with the captains of thousands and of hundreds, even with every leader.
2 ଆଉ ଦାଉଦ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମଗ୍ର ସମାଜକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ଦେଖାଯାଏ ଓ ଯଦି ତାହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼ୁ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମୁଦାୟ ପ୍ରଦେଶରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ତଳିଭୂମି-ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ନଗରରେ ବାସକାରୀ ଯାଜକମାନେ ଓ ଲେବୀୟମାନେ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସର୍ବତ୍ର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଉ।
And David said to all the assembly of Israel, If it seems good to you, and if it be of Jehovah our God, let us send abroad everywhere to our brothers who are left in all the land of Israel, with whom the priests and Levites are in their cities that have suburbs, that they may gather themselves to us.
3 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣୁ; କାରଣ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତହିଁର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରି ନାହୁଁ।”
And let us bring again the ark of our God to us, for we did not inquire from it in the days of Saul.
4 ତହିଁରେ ସମଗ୍ର ସମାଜ ସେହିପରି କରିବେ ବୋଲି କହିଲେ; କାରଣ ସକଳ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ତାହା ଯଥାର୍ଥ ବୋଧ ହେଲା।
And all the assembly said that they would do so, for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.
5 ତହୁଁ କିରୀୟଥ୍-ଯିୟାରୀମ୍ରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଆଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦାଉଦ ମିସରର ଶୀୟୋର ନଦୀଠାରୁ ହମାତର ପ୍ରବେଶ ସ୍ଥାନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ଏକତ୍ର କଲେ।
So David assembled all Israel together, from the Shihor the brook of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
6 ଆଉ କିରୂବଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକକୁ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଧିକାରସ୍ଥ ବାଲାରୁ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, କିରୀୟଥ୍-ଯିୟାରୀମ୍ରୁ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଦାଉଦ ଓ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଗଲେ।
And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is to Kiriath-jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, Jehovah who sits above the cherubim that is called by the Name.
7 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଗୋଟିଏ ନୂତନ ଶଗଡ଼ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକକୁ ଅବୀନାଦବର ଗୃହରୁ ବାହାର କରି ବୋହି ଆଣିଲେ; ଆଉ ଉଷ ଓ ଅହୀୟୋ ଶଗଡ଼ ଚଳାଇଲେ।
And they carried the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab. And Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.
8 ପୁଣି, ଦାଉଦ ଓ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଶକ୍ତି ସହିତ ଗାୟନ କରି ବୀଣା ଓ ନେବଲ ଓ ଦାରା ଓ କରତାଳ ଓ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଇଲେ।
And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, even with songs, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
9 ଆଉ ସେମାନେ କୀଦୋନ୍ ନାମକ ଶସ୍ୟମର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ବଳଦମାନେ ଅମଣା ହେବାରୁ ଉଷ ହସ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତାର କରି ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଧରିଲା।
And when they came to the threshing-floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled.
10 ସେତେବେଳେ ଉଷ ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହେଲା ଓ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ପ୍ରତି ହସ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତାର କରିବା ସକାଶୁ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଆଘାତ କଲେ; ତହୁଁ ସେ ସେଠାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ମଲା।
And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him because he put forth his hand to the ark. And there he died before God.
11 ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଉଷକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବାରୁ ଦାଉଦ ଅସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ହେଲେ; ଏଣୁ ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନର ନାମ “ପେରସ-ଉଷ” ରଖିଲେ; ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେହି ନାମ ଅଛି।
And David was displeased, because Jehovah had broken forth upon Uzza. And he called that place Perez-uzza, to this day.
12 ଆଉ ଦାଉଦ ସେହି ଦିନ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଭୟ ପାଇ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ କିପରି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଗୃହକୁ ଆଣିବି?”
And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
13 ତହୁଁ ଦାଉଦ ଦାଉଦ-ନଗରକୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟକୁ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଆଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ନେଇ ପଥପାର୍ଶ୍ୱସ୍ଥ ଗାଥୀୟ ଓବେଦ୍-ଇଦୋମର ଗୃହରେ ରଖିଲେ।
So David did not move the ark to him into the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
14 ତହିଁରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସିନ୍ଦୁକ ଓବେଦ୍-ଇଦୋମର ପରିବାର ସହିତ ତାହାର ଗୃହରେ ତିନି ମାସ ରହିଲା; ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଓବେଦ୍-ଇଦୋମର ଗୃହକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ।
And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months. And Jehovah blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that he had.
