Salmenes 15

1 Ein salme av David. Herre, kven skal vera gjest i ditt tjeld? Kven skal bu på ditt heilage fjell?

Lord, who schal dwelle in thi tabernacle; ether who schal reste in thin hooli hil?

2 Den som ferdast ulastande og gjer rettferd og talar sanning i sitt hjarta.

He that entrith with out wem; and worchith riytfulnesse.

3 Han baktalar ikkje med si tunga, han gjer ikkje vondt imot sin næste og fører ikkje skam yver den som stend honom nær.

Which spekith treuthe in his herte; which dide not gile in his tunge. Nethir dide yuel to his neiybore; and took not schenschip ayens hise neiyboris.

4 Svivyrdeleg er i hans augo den gudlause, men han ærar deim som ottast Herren. Sver han til sin eigen skade, so bryt han då aldri sin eid.

A wickid man is brouyt to nouyt in his siyt; but he glorifieth hem that dreden the Lord. Which swerith to his neiybore, and disseyueth not;

5 Han låner ikkje sine pengar ut for renta og tek ikkje mutor imot den saklause. Den som gjer dette, skal i all æva ikkje verta rikka.

which yaf not his money to vsure; and took not yiftis on the innocent. He, that doith these thingis, schal not be moued with outen ende.
