1 Halleluja! Eg vil prisa Herren av alt mitt hjarta i råd og samling av ærlege.

Praise all of you the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

2 Store er Herrens verk, gjenomtenkte etter alle sine fyremål.

The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

3 Høgd og herlegdom er hans gjerning, og hans rettferd stend æveleg fast.

His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endures for ever.

4 Han hev sett eit minne for sine under, nådig og miskunnsam er Herren.

He has made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

5 Mat hev han gjeve deim som ottast honom; han kjem æveleg i hug si pakt.

He has given food unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

6 Krafti av sine verk hev han kunngjort for sitt folk, då han gav deim arven til heidningarne.

He has showed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

7 Det hans hender gjer, er sanning og rett, alle hans fyresegner er trufaste,

The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.

8 fast stend dei æveleg og alltid, dei er gjorde i sanning og rettvisa.

They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

9 Han hev sendt sitt folk utløysing, han hev skipa si pakt æveleg, hans namn er heilagt og skræmelegt.

He sent redemption unto his people: he has commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

10 Otte for Herren er upphav til visdom, godt vit hev alle som gjer etter det. Hans pris varer æveleg.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endures for ever.
