Nehemias 3
1 Øvstepresten Eljasib og dei andre prestarne, frendarne hans, gjekk i veg og bygde Saueporten. Dei vigde honom, og sette inn dørerne. So bygde dei fram til Meatårnet, som dei vigde, og fram til Hananeltårnet.
Then arose Eliashib the high priest and his brethren the priests, and built the sheep-gate, they, hallowed it, and set up the doors thereof, —even unto the tower of Hammeah, hallowed they it, unto the tower of Hananel;
2 Attmed deim bygde folk frå Jeriko. Og attmed deim bygde Zakkur Imrison.
and, at his hand, built, the men of Jericho, —and at his [other] hand built Zaccur, son of Imri.
3 Fiskeporten bygde Sena’a-borni; dei timbra honom upp og sette inn dører og lås og slåer.
And, the fish-gate, did the sons of Hassenaah build, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
4 Attmed deim arbeidde Meremot, son åt Uria Hakkosson, med å vøla muren. Attmed han Mesullam, son åt Berekja Mesezabelsson. Attmed honom arbeidde Sadok Ba’anason.
and, at their hand, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, and, at their hand, repaired, Meshullum son of Berechiah son of Meshezabel, —and, at their hand, repaired, Zadok son of Baana;
5 Og attmed honom arbeidde folket frå Tekoa; men storfolket deira bøygde ikkje nakken sin under arbeidet for Herren sin.
and, at their hand, repaired, the Tekoites, —but, their chiefs, put not their neck into the service of their lords.
6 Gamleporten vølte Jojada Paseahsson og Mesullam Besodjason; dei timbra honom og sette inn dører og lås og slåer.
And, the old gate, did Joiada son of Paseah, and Meshullam, son of Besodeiah, repair, —they, laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the locks thereof, and the bars thereof;
7 Attmed deim arbeidde gibeoniten Melatja og merononiten Jadon med folk frå Gibeon og Mispa, som låg under domsmagti åt jarlen på hi sida elvi.
and, at their hand, repaired, Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, —who pertained to the throne of the pasha Beyond the River;
8 Attmed deim arbeidde Uzziel Harhajason med gullsmedarne, og attmed honom Hananja, ein salvehandlar. Det næste stykket av Jerusalem let dei vera, burt til Breidemuren.
at his hand, repaired, Uzziel son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, and, at his hand, repaired Hananiah son of the perfumers, —and they fortified Jerusalem, as far as the broad wall;
9 Attmed deim arbeidde Refaja Hursson, hovdingen yver halve heradet kring Jerusalem.
and, at their hand, repaired, Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem;
10 Attmed honom arbeidde Jedaja Harumafsson utanfor sitt eige hus. Og attmed honom Hattuh Hasabnejason.
and, at their hand, repaired, Jedaiah son of Harumaph, even over against his own house, —and, at his hand, repaired, Hattush, son of Hashabneiah;
11 Eit anna stykke vølte Malkia Harimsson og Hassub Pahat-Moabsson; burt til Omnstårnet.
a second length, did Malchijah son of Harim and Hasshub son of Pahath-moab, repair, —also the tower of the ovens;
12 Attmed deim arbeidde hovdingen yver det andre halve heradet kring Jerusalem, Sallum Hallohesson, saman med døtterne sine.
and, at his hand, repaired, Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-circuit of Jerusalem, —he and his daughters.
13 Dalporten vølte Hanun og folk frå Zanoah; dei bygde honom og sette inn dører og lås og slåer. Dei bygde og tusund alner av muren burt til Møkporten.
The valley-gate, did Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah, repair, —they, built it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also a thousand cubits in the wall, as far as the dung-gate.
14 Og Møkporten vølte Malkia Rekabsson, hovdingen yver heradet Bet-Hakkerem; han bygde honom og sette inn dører og lås og slåer.
And, the dung-gate, did Malchijah son of Rechab, ruler of the circuit of Beth-haccherem, repair, —he, built it, and set up the doors thereof, he locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
15 Kjeldeporten vølte Sallun Kol-Hozesson, hovding yver Mispaheradet; han bygde honom, tekte honom, sette inn dører og lås og slåer. Dessutan bygde han muren ved Selahdammen ved kongshagen burt åt dei tropperne som gjeng ned frå Davidsbyen.
And, the fountain-gate, did Shallun son of Col-hozeh ruler of the circuit of Mizpah, repair, he, built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, —also the wall of the pool of Shelah, by the garden of the king, even as far as the stairs that go down from the city of David;
16 Etter honom arbeidde Nehemia Azbuksson, hovding yver halve Betsurheradet, burt til midt fyre Davids-graverne, til den gravne dammen og til huset for kjemporne.
after him, repaired, Nehemiah son of Azbuk, ruler of the half-circuit of Beth-zur, —as far as over against the sepulchres of David, even unto the pool which had been made, and unto the house of heroes;
17 Etter honom arbeidde levitarne, under Rehum Banison. Attmed deim arbeidde, for sitt herad, Hasabja, hovding yver halve Ke’ilaheradet.
after him, repaired, the Levites, Rehum son of Bani, —at his hand, repaired, Hashabiah, ruler of the half-circuit of Keilah, for his circuit;
18 Etter honom arbeidde frendarne deira under, Bavvai Henadadsson, hovding yver den andre helvti av Ke’ilaheradet.
after him, repaired, their brethren, Bavvai son of Henadad, —ruler of the [other] half-circuit of Keilah;
19 Attmed honom vølte Ezer Jesuason, hovding yver Mispa, eit anna stykke midt fyre uppgangen til våpnhuset i murkråi.
and there repaired at his hand, Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, a second length, —over against the ascent of the armoury, at the corner;
20 Etter honom vølte Baruk Zabbaison trottigt eit anna stykke frå murkråi heilt fram til husdøri åt øvstepresten Eljasib.
after him, zealously repaired Baruch son of Zabbai, a second length, —from the corner, unto the opening of the house of Eliashib, the high priest;
21 Etter honom vølte Meremot, son åt Uria Hakkosson, eit anna stykke frå husdøri åt Eljasib til enden av huset hans.
after him, repaired, Meremoth son of Uriah son of Hakkoz, a second length, —from the opening of the house of Eliashib, even unto the end of the house of Eliashib;
22 Og etter honom arbeidde prestarne, folk frå Jordan-kverven.
and, after him, repaired, the priests, the men of the Circuit;
23 Etter deim arbeidde Benjamin og Hassub utanfor husi sine; etter deim Azarja, son åt Ma’aseja Ananjason, attmed sitt hus.
after him, repaired, Benjamin and Hasshub, over against their own house, —after him, repaired, Azariah son of Maaseiah son of Ananiah, beside his own house;
24 Etter honom vølte Binnui Henadadsson eit anna stykke frå huset hans Azarja til murkråi og til hyrna.
after him, repaired, Binnui son of Henadad, a second length, —from the house of Azariah, unto the corner, even unto the pinnacle:
25 Palal Uzaison vølte stykket midt fyre murkråi og det øvre tårnet, som skyt fram frå kongshuset og høyrer til fangegarden. So kom Pedaja Parosson.
Palal, son of Uzai, from over against the corner, and the tower that projecteth from the upper house of the king, which belongeth to the court of custody, —after him, Pedaiah son of Parosh.
26 - Tempelsveinarne budde på Ofel, heilt fram til midt imot Vatsporten mot aust og Framskotstårnet, -
Now, the Nethinim, were dwelling in Ophel, —as far as over against the water-gate, on the east, and the tower that projecteth;
27 So vølte Tekoa-folket eit anna stykke frå midt imot det store framskotstårnet og til Ofelmuren.
after him, repaired, the Tekoites, a second length, —from over against the great tower that projecteth, even unto the wall of Ophel:
28 Ovanfor Hesteporten arbeidde prestarne, kvar og ein midt imot sitt eige hus.
from beside the horse-gate, repaired the priests, every one over against his own house;
29 Etter deim arbeidde Sadok Immersson midt imot sitt hus; og etter honom Semaja Sekanjason, som hadde vakthaldet ved Austporten.
after him, repaired, Zadok son of Immer, over against his own house, —and, after him, repaired, Shemaiah son of Shecaniah, keeper of the east-gate;
30 Etter honom vølte Hananja Selemjason og Hanun, sette son åt Salaf, eit anna stykke. Etter deim arbeidde Mesullam Berekjason midt fyre koven sin.
after him, repaired, Hananiah son of Shelemiah, and Hanun sixth son of Zalaph, a second length, —after him, repaired, Meshullam son of Berechiah, over against his chamber;
31 Etter honom arbeidde Malkia, ein av gullsmedarne, heilt fram til huset for tempelsveinarne og kræmarane, midt imot Mynstringsporten og fram til Hyrnesalen.
after him, repaired, Malchijah son of Zorphi, as far as the house of the Nethinim, and the traders, —over against the muster-gate, even unto the ascent of the pinnacle;
32 Og millom Hyrnesalen og Saueporten arbeidde gullsmedarne og kræmarane.
and, between the ascent of the pinnacle and the sheep-gate, repaired, the goldsmiths, and the traders.
