3 Mosebok 26

1 De skal ikkje gjera dykk avgudar, og ikkje reisa gudebilæte eller minnestolpar eller setja bilætsteinar i landet dykkar og kasta dykk på kne for deim. Eg, Herren, er dykkar Gud.

Ye shall make you none idoles nor grauen image, neither reare you vp any pillar, neither shall ye set any image of stone in your land to bow downe to it: for I am the Lord your God.

2 Helgarne mine skal de halda, og hava age for heilagdomen min. Kom i hug: eg er Herren!

Ye shall keepe my Sabbaths, and reuerence my Sanctuarie: I am the Lord.

3 Lyder de no mine lover og agtar på ordi eg tala, og gjer de som eg hev sagt dykk,

If ye walke in mine ordinances, and keepe my commandements, and doe them,

4 so skal eg senda dykk regnet i rette tid, når det treng det, og jordi skal gjeva si grøda, og hagetrei si alda.

I will then sende you raine in due season, and the land shall yelde her increase, and the trees of the fielde shall giue her fruite.

5 Treskjartidi skal vera hjå dykk til vinonni byrjar, og vinonni vara til vinteren, og de skal eta dykk mette av maten som de hev avla, og liva trygge i landet.

And your threshing shall reache vnto the vintage, and the vintage shall reache vnto sowing time, and you shall eate your bread in plenteousnesse, and dwell in your land safely.

6 Fred vil eg gjeva i landet: de skal liggja og kvila, og ingen skal skræma dykk upp; udyri, deim vil eg øyda, so dei kverv burt ifrå landet, og sverd skal’kje herja i riket;

And I will sende peace in the land, and ye shall sleepe and none shall make you afraid: also I will rid euill beastes out of the lande, and the sworde shall not go through your lande.

7 uvenerne skal de elta, og dei skal stupa framfor dykk:

Also ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you vpon the sworde.

8 fem av dykk skal jaga eit hundrad, og hundrad jaga ti tusund, og fiendarne falla for sverdet.

And fiue of you shall chase an hundreth, and an hundreth of you shall put ten thousande to flight, and your enemies shall fall before you vpon the sworde.

9 Med milda vil eg dykk møta, og lata dykk aukast og veksa og signa sambandet med dykk.

For I will haue respect vnto you, and make you encrease, and multiplie you, and establish my couenant with you.

10 Fjorgamalt korn skal de eta, til dess de lyt rydja det undan, so de fær rom åt det nye.

Ye shall eate also olde store, and cary out olde because of the newe.

11 Eg vil bu og byggja ibland dykk, og aldri leidast utav dykk.

And I will set my Tabernacle among you, and my soule shall not lothe you.

12 Imillom dykk vil eg ferdast, og dykkar Gud vil eg vera, og de skal vera mitt folk.

Also I will walke among you, and I wil be your God, and ye shalbe my people.

13 Eg er dykkar Gud, eg, Herren, som henta dykk ut or Egyptarlandet, der som de træla for andre; eg braut sund stengern’ i oket, so de kunde ganga rake.

I am the Lord your God which haue brought you out of the lande of Egypt, that yee should not be their bondmen, and I haue broken ye bonds of your yoke, and made you goe vpright.

14 Men vil de’kje høyra på meg, og gjer de’kje alt det eg baud dykk,

But if ye will not obey me, nor do all these commandements,

15 mismæter de mine rettar og leidest loverne mine, so de ikkje gjer som eg sagde, og bryt de sambandet med meg,

And if ye shall despise mine ordinances, either if your soule abhorre my lawes, so that yee will not do all my commandements, but breake my couenant,

16 so gjev eg dykk likt for like: då søkjer eg dykk med fælska, med sott som tærer og brenner, sykja som sløkkjer ut augo og syg magti or livet. Til fånyttes sår de ut kornet; for uvenern’ et det de avlar.

Then wil I also do this vnto you, I wil appoint ouer you fearefulnes, a consumption, and the burning ague to consume the eyes, and make the heart heauie, and you shall sowe your seede in vaine: for your enemies shall eate it:

17 Eg kvesser augo imot dykk: for fienden skal de rjuka, uvenen skal trakka dykk ned; de skal røma, um ingen er etter dykk.

And I will set my face against you, and ye shall fal before your enemies, and they that hate you, shall raigne ouer you, and yee shall flee when none pursueth you.

18 Og vil de endå’kje lyda, so skal eg refsa dykk meir, sju gonger, for synderne dykkar.

And if ye wil not for these things obey me, then wil I punish you seuen times more, according to your sinnes,

19 Eg bryt dykkar ovmod og magt: eg gjer dykkar himmel som jarn, og jordi dykkar som kopar.

And I wil breake the pride of your power, and I will make your heauen as yron, and your earth as brasse:

20 Då øyder de nyttelaust krafti; for jordi gjev ingi grøda, og trei gjev ingi alda.

And your strength shalbe spent in vaine: neither shall your lande giue her increase, neither shall the trees of the land giue their fruite.

21 Og gjer de meg endå imot, og vil de’kje høyra på meg, so slær eg dykk endå sju gonger, som synderne dykkar er verde.

And if ye walke stubburnly against me, and will not obey mee, I will then bring seuen times more plagues vpon you, according to your sinnes.

22 Imot dykk sender eg udyr som ranar borni ifrå dykk, og drep ned bufeet dykkar, og veld at de tynnest i talet, so vegarne dykkar vert aude.

I will also sende wilde beastes vpon you, which shall spoyle you, and destroy your cattell, and make you fewe in number: so your hye waies shalbe desolate.

23 Og let de dykk endå’kje tukta, men driv på og gjer meg imot,

Yet if by these ye will not be reformed by me, but walke stubburnly against me,

24 so gjer eg og dykk imot, og slær dykk endå sju gonger for alt det som de hev synda;

Then wil I also walke stubburnly against you, and I will smite you yet seuen times for your sinnes:

25 eg sender eit sverd yver dykk, som skal hemna pakti de braut; og samlar de dykk i byarn’, so sender eg sott inn ibland dykk, og de skal falla i fiendehand.

And I wil send a sword vpon you, that shall auenge the quarel of my couenant: and when ye are gathered in your cities, I wil send the pestilence among you, and ye shall be deliuered into the hand of the enemie.

26 Eg skal minka soleis på maten, som var dykkar styrk og studnad, at tie konor skal steikja brødet åt dykk i ein omn; dei skal gjeva det att etter vegt, og de skal’kje få eta dykk mette.

When I shall breake the staffe of your bread, then ten women shall bake your breade in one ouen, and they shall deliuer your bread againe by weight, and ye shall eate, but not be satisfied.

27 Og høyrer de endå’kje på meg, og herder de på og trassar,

Yet if ye will not for this obey mee, but walke against me stubburnly,

28 so fer eg imot dykk med vreide, og refsar dykk endå sju gonger for alle syndern’ de gjorde.

Then will I walke stubburnly in mine anger against you, and I will also chastice you seuen times more according to your sinnes.

29 Då skal de nøydast til eta kjøtet av sønerne dykkar og kjøtet av dykkar døtter.

And ye shall eate ye flesh of your sonnes, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye deuoure.

30 Eg skal øyda høgderne dykkar, og rydja solstolparne ut, og kasta dykkar eigne lik på liki av skarnsgudarne dykkar; for de byd mitt hjarta imot.

I will also destroy your hye places, and cut away your images, and cast your carkeises vpon the bodies of your idoles, and my soule shall abhorre you.

31 Eg vil leggja byarn’ i røys, og riva templi ned, og vil ikkje ansa angen som stig upp frå offeri dykkar;

And I will make your cities desolate, and bring your Sanctuarie vnto nought, and will not smelll the sauour of your sweete odours.

32 eg skal gjera landet so audt, at fiendarne som bur der skal fæla.

I will also bring the land vnto a wildernes, and your enemies, which dwell therein, shalbe astonished thereat.

33 Og dykk skal eg spreida bland folki; med drege sverd skal eg elta dykk, og landet dykkar skal verta ei audn, og byarne skal verta røysar.

Also I wil scatter you among the heathen, and will drawe out a sworde after you, and your land shalbe waste, and your cities shalbe desolate.

34 Då skal landet få njota si kvild, alt med det lyt liggja i øyde og de er i fiendelandet - ja då skal landet få kvila og halda helgerne sine;

Then shall the land inioy her Sabbaths, as long as it lieth voide, and yee shalbe in your enemies land: then shall the land rest, and enioy her Sabbaths.

35 alt med det ligg audt, skal det kvila; då skal det få seg den helgekvildi det ikkje fekk i kvileåri, so lenge de endå budde der.

All the dayes that it lieth voide, it shall rest, because it did not rest in your Sabbaths, when ye dwelt vpon it.

36 Men dei av dykk som er att, skal eg gjeva slik rædsla i hjarta, med dei held til i fiendelandi, at ljoden av eit fjukande lauv skal skræma deim upp og jaga deim av, som når ein rømer for sverdet; dei skal falla, um ingen er etter deim.

And vpon them that are left of you, I will send euen a faintnes into their hearts in ye land of their enemies, and the sounde of a leafeshaken shall chase them, and they shall flee as fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall, no man pursuing them.

37 Dei skal snåva og detta, ein yver hin, som dei hadde sverdet i hælarn’, endå det er ingen som elter. De skal ikkje stå dykk mot uvenern’ dykkar,

They shall fall also one vpon another, as before a sword, though none pursue them, and ye shall not be able to stand before your enemies:

38 men ganga til grunns millom heidningarne, og fiendelandet skal tæra dykk upp.

And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eate you vp.

39 Og dei av dykk som endå er att, skal visna burt i fiendelandi for broti som dei hev gjort, og for broti åt federne sine; dei skal folna burt liksom dei.

And they that are left of you, shall pine away for their iniquitie, in your enemies landes, and for the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them also.

40 Då skal dei stå til sine brot og broti åt sine feder, at dei fall ifrå meg, og sveik meg, og gjorde meg tvert imot,

Then they shall confesse their iniquitie, and the wickednes of their fathers for their trespasse, which they haue trespassed against mee, and also because they haue walked stubburnly against me.

41 so eg og laut stå deim imot, og dreiv deim til fiendelandet - og bøygjer dei så sine hjarto, so harde og stride dei er, og fær dei då kvitta si skuld,

Therefore I wil walke stubburnly against them, and bring them into the land of their enemies: so then their vncircumcised hearts shalbe humbled, and then they shalt willingly beare the punishment of their iniquitie.

42 Og so skal eg minnast mitt samband med Jakob og Isak og Abram, og landet skal eg og minnast.

Then I will remember my couenant with Iaakob, and my couenant also with Izhak, and also my couenant with Abraham will I remember, and will remember the land.

43 Men landet lyt fyrst vera kvitt deim, og njota helgarne sine med det ligg audt etter deim; og dei lyt bøta si skuld, etter di dei vanda mi lov, og bodet mitt baud deim imot.

The land also in the meane season shalbe left of them, and shall enioye her Sabbaths while she lieth waste without them, but they shall willingly suffer the punishment of their iniquitie, because they despised my lawes, and because their soule abhorred mine ordinances.

44 Men endå um det er so, og dei er i fiendelandet, vil eg ikkje vanda deim reint eller skjota deim heiltupp ifrå meg: eg vil ikkje rydja deim ut og brjota sambandet med deim; for eg, Herren, er deira Gud.

Yet notwithstanding this, when they shalbe in the lande of their enemies, I wil not cast them away, neither will I abhorre them, to destroy them vtterly, nor to breake my couenant with them: for I am the Lord their God:

45 Eg vil minnast mi pakt med dei gamle, som eg henta ut or Egyptarland midt for augo på heidningefolki, og var deira Gud, eg, Herren!»»

But I will remember for them the couenant of olde when I brought them out of ye land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen that I might be their God: I am the Lord.

46 Dette er dei bodi og rettarne og loverne som Herren sette millom seg og Israels-folket på Sinaifjellet og let Moses kunngjera for deim.

These are the ordinances, and the iudgements, and the lawes, which the Lord made betweene him, and the children of Israel in mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
