Hoseas 13
1 Når Efraim tala, vart dei fælne. Høg var han i Israel. Men han vart saka med Ba’al og døydde.
When spoke Ephraim trembling he lifted up he in Israel and he became guilty by Baal and he died.
2 Og no held dei på med si synd. Og dei gjer seg støypte bilæte av sylvet sitt, avgudar etter sitt eige vit, handverksarbeid alt saman. Til slike talar dei. Menneskjeslagtarar kysser kalvar.
And now - they increase to sin and they have made for themselves a molten image from silver their according to skill their idols [is the] work of craftsmen all of it of them they [are] saying [those who] offer sacrifice of humankind calves they will kiss!
3 Difor skal dei verta som morgonskyi, som doggi som tidleg kverv, liksom agner som vinden fyk burt ifrå treskjarstaden, og liksom røyk or ein ljore.
Therefore they will become like a cloud of [the] morning and like dew rising early going like chaff [which] it is storm-driven from a threshing floor and like smoke from a window.
4 Men eg er Herren, din Gud, alt frå Egyptarland. Nokon annan Gud enn meg veit du ikkje av. Og nokon annan frelsar enn eg finst ikkje.
And I [am] Yahweh God your from [the] land of Egypt and gods besides me not you must know and [is] a deliverer there not except me.
5 Det var eg som kjendest ved deg i øydemarki, i det turre landet.
I I knew you in the wilderness in a land of drought.
6 Etter som beitet deira var, vart dei mette. Då dei var mette, vart dei høge i sin hug. Difor gløymde dei meg.
According to pasture their and they were satisfied they were satisfied and it was exalted heart their there-fore they forgot me.
7 Då vart eg deim liksom ei løva. Som ein pantar lurer eg innmed vegen.
And I became to them like a lion like a leopard on a road I will watch.
8 Eg kjem yver deim som ei binna som dei hev teke ungarne ifrå, og riv sund bringa deira. Eg gløypar deim som ei løvemor. Villdyr skal slita deim sund.
I will meet them like a bear robbed of cubs so I may tear [the] cavity of heart their and I will devour them there like a lion animal of the field it will tear to pieces them.
9 Du hev tynt deg, Israel, med di du er imot meg, di hjelp.
It will destroy you O Israel for in me in helper your.
10 Kvar er no kongen din, at han kann syta for frelsing åt deg i alle byarne dine? Og kvar hev du domarane dine, som du sagde um: «Lat meg få konge og hovdingar?»
Where? [is] king your then so he may save you in all cities your and rulers your whom you said give! to me a king and leaders.
11 Ja, ein konge skal eg gjeva deg i min vreide, og so tek eg honom burt i min harm.
I gave to you a king in anger my so I may take [him] away in wrath my.
12 Samanbundi er misgjerningi hans Efraim, og syndi hans gøymd.
[is] bound up [the] iniquity of Ephraim [is] stored up sin his.
13 Rider som hjå ei fødande kvinna skal koma yver honom. Han er ein son som ikkje er vis. For når stundi er der, kjem han ikkje fram i fødsli.
[the] pains of [one who] gives birth They will come to him he [is] a son not wise if a time not he will present himself at birth of children.
14 Or helheims vald vil eg fria deim, frå dauden vil eg løysa deim ut. Kvar er di sott, du daude? Kvar er di tyning, du helheim? Anger er løynd for augo mine. (Sheol h7585)
From [the] hand of Sheol will I ransom? them from death will I redeem? them where? [are] thorns your O death where? [is] destruction your O Sheol compassion it will be hidden from eyes my. (Sheol h7585)
15 For han, millom brørne sine stend han lavande av frukt; det kjem ein austanvind, eit Herrens ver, farande upp ifrå øydemarki. Då turkar brunnen hans upp, og kjelda hans tryt. Han ranar skatten, alle slag kostnadting.
For he a son brothers he flourishes it will come an east wind [the] wind of Yahweh from [the] wilderness [is] about to come up and it may be withered spring his so it may be dried up spring his it it will plunder [the] treasury of every article of preciousness.
16 Bøta skal Samaria, av di det hev vore tråssugt imot sin Gud. For sverd skal dei falla, småborni deira skal verta krasa, og dei kvinnor som er med barn, skal ristast upp.
It will be held guilty Samaria for it has rebelled against God its by the sword they will fall children their they will be dashed in pieces and pregnant [women] its they will be ripped open.
