Esekiel 27
1 Herrens ord kom til meg; han sagde:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
2 Og du, menneskjeson! Set i med ein syrgjesong yver Tyrus!
'And thou, son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyre,
3 Og du skal segja til Tyrus som bur attmed innlaupet frå havet, som handlar med folkeslagi på mange havstrender: So segjer Herren, Herren: Tyrus, du segjer: «Storfager er eg og frid.»
and say unto Tyre, that dwelleth at the entry of the sea, that is the merchant of the peoples unto many isles: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Thou, O Tyre, hast said: I am of perfect beauty.
4 I havsens hjarta er dine landskil, dei som bygde deg, gjorde deg storfager.
Thy borders are in the heart of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
5 Av cypresstre frå Senir bygde dei alt plankeverket på deg. Cedertre frå Libanon tok dei og gjorde til mastr på deg.
Of cypress-trees from Senir have they fashioned all thy planks; they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.
6 Av eik frå Basan gjorde dei årarne dine. Dekket ditt gjorde dei av filsbein, innlagt i buskbom frå Kittim-øyarne.
Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; thy deck have they made of ivory inlaid in larch, from the isles of the Kittites.
7 Manglita linty frå Egyptarland hadde du til segl, til å vera ditt merke, blått og purpurraudt ty frå Elisa-øyarne var ditt soltjeld.
Of fine linen with richly woven work from Egypt was thy sail, that it might be to thee for an ensign; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was thine awning.
8 Folk frå Sidon og Arvad var roarar åt deg, dei kunnige av dine eigne, Tyrus, dei vart hovudsmennerne dine.
The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were thy rowers; thy wise men, O Tyre, were in thee, they were thy pilots.

The elders of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers; all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to exchange thy merchandise.
10 Menner frå Persia, Lud og Put var i din her, dine stridsmenner. Skjoldar og hjelmar hengde dei upp i deg, dei gav deg pryda.
Persia and Lud and Put were in thine army, thy men of war; they hanged the shield and helmet in thee, they set forth thy comeliness.
11 Arvads søner og din eigen her var på dine murar rundt ikring, og gammaditar var i dine tårn. Sine skjoldar hengde dei på murarne dine rundt ikring; dei gjorde deg fulleleg fager.
The men of Arvad and Helech were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadim were in thy towers; they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have perfected thy beauty.
12 Tarsis handla med deg, av di du hadde so mykje gods. Sylv, jarn, tin og bly gav dei deg for varorne dine.
Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded for thy wares.
13 Javan, Tubal og Mesek, deim hadde du til kræmarar; menneskje og koparkjerald gav dei deg i varebyte.
Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy traffickers; they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass for thy merchandise.
14 Frå Togarma-lyden fekk du vognhestar og ridehestar og muldyr for varorne dine.
They of the house of Togarmah traded for thy wares with horses and horsemen and mules.
15 Dedans søner var kræmarane dine. Mange havstrender kjøpte av di hand; filsbein og ibenholt gav dei deg i skatt.
The men of Dedan were thy traffickers; many isles were the mart of thy hand; they brought thee as tribute horns of ivory and ebony.

Aram was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of thy wealth; they traded for thy wares with carbuncles, purple, and richly woven work, and fine linen, and coral, and rubies.
17 Juda og Israelslandet, dei var kræmarane dine; kveite frå Minnit og søt-kakor og honning og olje og balsam gav dei deg i varebyte.
Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy traffickers; they traded for thy merchandise wheat of Minnith, and balsam, and honey, and oil, and balm.
18 Damaskus handla med deg, av di du hadde mang ein eignalut, ein ovmengd med allslags gods. Dei gav deg vin frå Hebron og kvit ull.
Damascus was thy merchant for the multitude of thy wealth, by reason of the multitude of all riches, with the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 Vedan og Javan frå Uzal gav att for varorne dine; jarnsmide, kassia og kalmus fekk du i varebyte.
Vedan and Javan traded with yarn for thy wares; massive iron, cassia, and calamus, were among thy merchandise.
20 Dedan handla med deg med salklæde til å rida på.
Dedan was thy trafficker in precious cloths for riding.
21 Arabia og alle fyrstarne i Kedar kjøpte av di hand; lamb og verar og bukkar selde dei deg.
Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they were the merchants of thy hand; in lambs, and rams, and goats, in these were they thy merchants.

The traffickers of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy traffickers; they traded for thy wares with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
23 Kharan og Kanne og Eden, kræmarane i Sjeba, Assur, Kilmad handla med deg.
Haran and Canneh and Eden, the traffickers of Sheba, Asshur was as thine apprentice in traffic.

These were thy traffickers in gorgeous fabrics, in wrappings of blue and richly woven work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords and cedar-lined, among thy merchandise.
25 Med Tarsis-skip gjorde du kjøpstemnorne dine. Du vart fyllt og ovende rik - midt i havet.
The ships of Tarshish brought thee tribute for thy merchandise; so wast thou replenished, and made very heavy in the heart of the seas.
26 Utpå storhavet førde dine roarar deg - austanvinden bryt deg sund midt i havet.
Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters; the east wind hath broken thee in the heart of the seas.
27 Ditt gods, dine salsvaror og bytevaror, dine sjøfolk, dine skiprar, dei som bøter lekarne dine, og dei som driv din handel, og kvar ein stridsmann som i deg er, med heile ditt mannskap som er um bord, skal stupa midt i havet den dagen du fell.
Thy riches, and thy wares, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the exchangers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, with all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy ruin.
28 For naudropi frå skiprarne dine skal markerne bivra.
At the sound of the cry of thy pilots the waves shall shake.
29 Og dei skal stiga utor sine skip alle som med årarne sit, mannskapet og kvar skiper på havet, til land skal dei søkja.
And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land,
30 Dei skal barma seg yver deg og anka seg sårt. Og dei skal kasta mold på sine hovud, i oska skal dei velta seg.
And shall cause their voice to be heard over thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall roll themselves in the ashes;
31 Og dei skal raka seg snaude i kruna for di skuld og gyrda seg med sekk. Og dei skal gråta yver deg med sjælekvida og øya seg sårt.
And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee in bitterness of soul with bitter lamentation.
32 Og med dei barmar seg, skal dei setja i med ein syrgjesong yver deg og syrgjande kveda um deg: «Kven er lik Tyrus, som no er tagna midt uti havet?»
And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee: who was there like Tyre, fortified in the midst of the sea?
33 Medan varorne dine kom frå havet, metta du mange folkeslag. Med ovmengdi av ditt gods og med dine bytevaror gjorde du kongarne på jordi rike.
When thy wares came forth out of the seas, thou didst fill many peoples; with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise didst thou enrich the kings of the earth.
34 No då du er skipbroten og burtkomen på sjøen og ligg på havsens botn, no er dine bytevaror og alt ditt mannskap søkkt i kav med deg.
Now that thou art broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, and thy merchandise and all thy company are fallen in the midst of thee,
35 Alle som bur på havstrenderne, tek fæla av din lagnad; det rys deira kongar i holdet, deira andlit bivra.
All the inhabitants of the isles are appalled at thee, and their kings are horribly afraid, they are troubled in their countenance;
36 Kjøpmennerne ibland folkeslagi hæder deg; Ei skræma er du vorten, du er ikkje til - i all æva.
The merchants among the peoples hiss at thee; thou art become a terror, and never shalt be any more.'
