Esters 5
1 Tridje dagen klædde Ester seg i kongelegt skrud og gjekk inn i den indre garden til kongshuset midt fyre kongshuset, og kongen sat på kongsstolen sin i kongshalli, midt imot døri til huset.
And it was - on the day third and she put on Esther royalty and she stood in [the] court of [the] house of the king inner before [the] house of the king and the king [was] sitting on [the] throne of royalty his in [the] house of royalty before [the] entrance of the house.
2 Då kongen såg dronning Ester standa i garden, fann ho nåde i hans augo; og kongen rette ut til Ester gullstaven som han hadde i handi. Ester gjekk då fram og tok i enden av staven.
And it was when saw the king Esther the queen standing in the court she bore favor in view his and he extended the king to Esther [the] scepter of gold which [was] in hand his and she drew near Esther and she touched [the] top of the scepter.
3 Kongen sagde til henne: «Kva hev du på hjarta, dronning Ester? kva er det du ynskjer? Um det so er helvti av riket, skal du få det.»
And he said to her the king what? [is] to you O Esther the queen and what? [is] request your up to half of the kingdom so it may be given to you.
4 Ester svara: «Tekkjest det kongen, so må kongen saman med Haman koma i dag til det gjestebodet eg hev laga til åt honom.»
And she said Esther if [is] on the king good let him come the king and Haman this day to the feast which I have made for him.
5 Kongen svara: «Skunda dykk, henta Haman, so me kann gjera det Ester bed um.» So kom då kongen og Haman til gjestebodet som Ester hadde laga til.
And he said the king bring quickly Haman to do [the] word of Esther and he came the king and Haman to the feast which she had made Esther.
6 Då dei sat og drakk vin, spurde kongen Ester: «Kva er di bøn? Du skal få det du bed um! Og kva er ditt ynskje? Um det vore helvti av riket, so skal det løyvast deg!»
And he said the king to Esther at [the] feast of wine what? [is] petition your sp it may be given to you and what? [is] request your up to half of the kingdom and it may be done.
7 Ester svara: «Bøni mi og ynskjet mitt er:
And she answered Esther and she said petition my and request my.
8 Hev eg funne nåde i kongens augo, og det tekkjest kongen å gjeva meg det eg bed um og gjera det eg ynskjer, so må kongen og Haman koma til det gjestebodet eg vil laga til åt deim; so skal eg i morgon gjera som kongen segjer.»
If I have found favor in [the] eyes of the king and if [is] on the king good to grant petition my and to do request my let him come the king and Haman to the feast which I will make for them and tomorrow I will do according to [the] word of the king.
9 Den dagen gjekk Haman derifrå glad og i godlag. Men då Haman fekk sjå Mordokai i kongsporten, og at han korkje reis upp eller synte nokon age for honom, då vart Haman full av harm mot Mordokai.
And he went out Haman on the day that joyful and good of heart and just as saw Haman Mordecai at [the] gate of the king and not he stood up and not he trembled from him and he was filled Haman towards Mordecai rage.
10 Like vel styrde han seg, til han kom heim. Då sende han bod etter venerne sine og etter Zeres, kona si.
And he restrained himself Haman and he went to house his and he sent and he gathered friends his and Zeresh wife his.
11 Haman fortalde deim um all sin rikdom og herlegdom og um dei mange sønerne sine, og um alt det kongen hadde gjort til å gjera honom stor og setja honom høgre enn hovdingarne og kongens tenarar.
And he recounted to them Haman [about] [the] splendor of wealth his and [the] multitude of sons his and [about] all that he had made great him the king and this: he had exalted him above the officials and [the] servants of the king.
12 «Ja, dronning Ester, » sagde han, «let ingen annan enn meg koma med kongen til det gjestebodet ho gjorde; til i morgon og hev ho bede meg saman med kongen.
And he said Haman also not she let come [anyone] Esther the queen with the king to the feast which she had prepared that except me and also for tomorrow I [am] invited by her with the king.
13 Men alt dette kann eg ikkje lita meg med, so lenge eg ser jøden Mordokai sitja i kongsporten.»
And all this not it [is] adequate for me at any time when I [am] seeing Mordecai the Jew sitting at [the] gate of the king.
14 Då sagde Zeres, kona hans, og venerne hans til honom: «Lat deim gjera ein galge, femti alner høg, og bed kongen i morgon um å få hengja Mordokai i den! So kann du fara glad til gjestebords med kongen.» Denne rådi lika Haman godt, og han let deim gjera galgen i stand.
And she said to him Zeresh wife his and all friends his let people make a gallows high fifty cubit[s] and in the morning - speak to the king so people may hang Mordecai on it and go with the king to the feast joyful and it was good the word before Haman and he made the gallows.
