Apostlenes-gjerninge 15
1 Og det kom nokre ned frå Judæa og lærde brørne: «Dersom de ikkje vert umskorne etter Mose sedvane, so kann de ikkje verta frelste.»
And certain ones having come down from Judea were teaching the brothers that Only unless (you shall become circumcised *N(k)O*) according to the custom (*no*) of Moses, [then] not you are able to be saved.
2 Då der no vart strid, og Paulus og Barnabas kom i ikkje so lite ordskifte med deim, tok dei den råd at Paulus og Barnabas og nokre andre av deim skulde fara upp til apostlarne og dei eldste i Jerusalem for dette spursmålet skuld.
When was hapening (then *N(k)O*) commotion and (controversy *N(k)O*) no small by Paul and Barnabas with them they appointed to go up Paul and Barnabas and certain others out from them to the apostles and elders to Jerusalem about question this.
3 Kyrkjelyden fylgde deim eit stykke på veg, og so drog dei gjenom Fønikia og Samaria og fortalde um korleis heidningarne hadde vendt um; og dei gjorde alle brørne stor gleda.
They indeed therefore having been sent forward by the church were passing through (both *no*) Phoenicia and Samaria relating in detail the conversion of the Gentiles and they were bringing joy great to all the brothers.
4 Og då dei nådde fram til Jerusalem, vart dei fagna av kyrkjelyden og apostlarne og dei eldste, og dei fortalde kor store ting Gud hadde gjort ved deim.
Having come then to Jerusalem (they were received by *N(k)O*) the church and the apostles and the elders, They declared then how much God did with them.
5 Men det reiste seg nokre av farisæarflokken som hadde teke ved trui, og sagde: «Ein må umskjera deim og påleggja deim å halda Mose lov.»
Rose up now certain of those of the sect of the Pharisees having believed saying that It is necessary to circumcise them to command [them] then to keep the law of Moses.
6 Apostlarne og dei eldste kom då saman og skulde rådleggja um denne saki.
Were gathered together (then *N(k)O*) the apostles and the elders to understand about matter this.
7 Då det so vart eit kvast ordskifte, stod Peter upp og sagde til deim: «Brør! de veit at Gud for lenge sidan gjorde det utval millom dykk, at ved min munn skulde heidningarne få høyra ordet um evangeliet og koma til trui.
Of much now (controversy *N(k)O*) having taken place, having risen up Peter said to them; Men brothers, you yourselves know that from days early among (you *N(K)O*) chose God through the mouth of mine to hear the Gentiles the word of the gospel and to believe.
8 Og Gud, som kjenner hjarto, han vitna for deim, då han gav deim den Heilage Ande liksom oss;
And the heart-knowing God bore witness to them having given (to them *k*) the Spirit Holy even as also to us;
9 og inkje skil gjorde han på oss og deim, med di han ved trui reinsa hjarto deira.
and no [thing] He made distinction between us also and them by the faith having purified the hearts of them.
10 Kvi freistar de då Gud no med å leggja på nakken til læresveinarne eit ok som korkje federne våre eller me orka å bera?
Now therefore why are you testing God to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples that neither the fathers of us nor we ourselves were able to bear?
11 Men ved Herren Jesu nåde trur me at me vert frelste, på same måten som dei.»
But through the grace of the Lord Jesus (Christ *K*) we believe to be saved in [the] same manner [as] they also. they also.
12 Då tagde heile mengdi, og dei høyrde på Barnabas og Paulus, som fortalde kor store teikn og under Gud hadde gjort millom heidningarne ved deim.
Kept silent now all the multitude and were listening to Barnabas and Paul relating how much did God signs and wonders among the Gentiles through them.
13 Og då dei hadde slutta å tala, tok Jakob til ords og sagde: «Brør, høyr på meg!
After now being silent they answered James saying; Men brothers, do hear me.
14 Simeon hev fortalt korleis Gud frå det fyrste såg til å få seg eit folk av heidningar for sitt namn.
Simeon has related even as first God visited to take out of [the] Gentiles a people (upon *k*) for the name of Him;
15 Og med dette samstavast profetordi, so som det stend skrive:
And with this agree the words of the prophets even as it has been written:
16 «Deretter vil eg venda tilbake og byggja upp att Davids nedfalne hytta, og det som er nedrive av henne, vil eg byggja upp att, og nyreisa det,
After these things I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David which having fallen and the (ruined *NK(o)*) of it I will rebuild and I will set upright it;
17 so dei andre menneskje skal søkja Herren, ja, alle heidningfolki som mitt namn er nemnt yver, » segjer Herren, som gjer dette,
so that when may seek out the remnant of men the Lord and all the Gentiles, upon whom has been called the name of Me upon them, says [the] Lord (who *ko*) is doing these things (all *K*)
known from eternity’ (is to God all the works of him. *K*) (aiōn g165)
19 Difor dømer eg at ein ikkje skal tyngja deim av heidningarne som umvender seg til Gud,
Therefore I myself judge not to trouble those who from the Gentiles are turning to God,
20 men skriva til deim at dei skal halda seg frå ureinskap ved avgudar og frå hor og frå det som er strøypt og frå blod.
but to write to them to abstain from (from *k*) the pollutions of the idols and sexual immorality and that which is strangled and from blood.
21 For Moses hev frå gamle dagar i kvar by deim som forkynner honom, då han vert upplesen i synagogorne kvar kviledag.»
Moses for from generations of old in every city those proclaiming him he is in the synagogues on every Sabbath being read.
22 Då vedtok apostlarne og dei eldste saman med heile kyrkjelyden å velja ut menner millom seg og senda deim til Antiokia med Paulus og Barnabas: det var Judas, med tilnamnet Barsabbas, og Silas, som var høgvyrde menner millom brørne.
Then it seemed good to the apostles and to the elders with all the church having chosen men out from them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, Judas who (is being called *N(k)O*) Barsabbas and Silas, men leading among the brothers,
23 Og dei skreiv dette med deim: «Apostlarne og dei eldste og brørne helsar brørne av heidningarne i Antiokia og Syria og Kilikia.
having written through [the] hand of them (these things: *k*) The apostles and the elders (and the *K*) brothers To those in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia to brothers among the Gentiles Greeting.
24 Etter di me hev høyrt at nokre som er komne frå oss, hev skræmt dykk upp ved sin tale og uroa sjælerne dykkar - me hev ikkje gjeve deim noko pålegg -
Inasmuch as we have heard that some from us went out troubled you by words upsetting the minds of you (saying to be circumcised and to keep the law *K*) to whom not we had given instructions,
25 so hev me samrådde vedteke å velja ut nokre menner og senda deim til dykk saman med våre kjære brør Barnabas og Paulus,
it seemed good to us having come with one accord (having chosen *N(k)O*) men to send to you with the beloved of us Barnabas and Paul,
26 menner som hev våga livet sitt for vår Herre Jesu Kristi namn.
men having handed over the lives of them for the name of the Lord of us Jesus Christ.
27 Me hev då sendt Judas og Silas, som og munnleg skal kunngjera det same.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, and they through word [of mouth] are telling [you] the same things.
28 For den Heilage Ande og me hev vedteke at me ikkje vil leggja nokor byrd på dykk utyver desse naudturvelege ting:
It seemed good for to the Spirit (*no*) Holy and to us no further to lay upon you burden except these necessary things
29 at de held dykk frå avgudsoffer og blod og det strøypte og hor; og de vil finna dykk vel ved å vara dykk for desse ting. Liv vel!»
to abstain from idol-sacrifices and from blood and (from a strangled [one] *N(k)O*) and from sexual immorality; From these keeping yourselves well you will do. Farewell!
30 Då no desse var sende av stad, kom dei til Antiokia, og dei kalla heile kyrkjelyden saman og gav deim brevet.
They indeed therefore having been sent off (went *N(k)O*) to Antioch, and having gathered the multitude they delivered the letter.
31 Då dei hadde lese det, vart dei glade yver den trøysti.
Having read [it] now they rejoiced at the encouragement.
32 Judas og Silas, som sjølv var profetar, trøysta brørne med mange ord og styrkte deim,
Judas both and Silas, also themselves prophets being, through talk much exhorted the brothers and strengthened [them].
33 og då dei hadde vore der ei tid, let brørne deim fara med fred til deim som hadde sendt deim.
Having continued then a time they were sent away in peace from the brothers to those (having sent *N(K)O*) (them. *no*)
34 Silas rådde seg til å vera der.
(It seemed good however to Silas to remain here. *K*)
35 Men Paulus og Barnabas drygde i Antiokia og lærde og forkynte Herrens ord ved evangeliet saman med mange andre.
Paul however and Barnabas were staying in Antioch teaching and evangelising with also others many the word of the Lord.
36 Men etter nokre dagar sagde Paulus til Barnabas: «Lat oss gjera ferdi upp att og sjå til våre brør i kvar by der me forkynte Herrens ord, korleis dei hev det!»
After now some days said to Barnabas Paul; Having turned back indeed let us look after the brothers (of us *k*) in city every in which we have announced the word of the Lord, how they are.
37 Barnabas rådde til å taka Johannes med, som var kalla Markus.
Barnabas now (was planning *N(k)O*) to take along (also *no*) John who is being called Mark;
38 Men Paulus tykte ikkje dei skulde taka honom med, som hadde skilt seg frå deim i Pamfylia og ikkje gjenge med deim til deira gjerning.
Paul however was considering the [one] having withdrawn from them from Pamphylia and not having gone with them to the work not (to take along *N(k)(o)*) him.
39 Det kom då til ein kvass strid, so dei skildest frå kvarandre, og Barnabas tok Markus med seg og siglde av til Kypern.
Arose (therefore *N(k)O*) a sharp disagreement, so that separating they from one another, and Barnabas having taken Mark sailing to Cyprus.
40 Men Paulus valde Silas til fylgjesvein og drog ut etter at brørne hadde gjeve honom yver til Herrens nåde.
Paul however having chosen Silas went forth having been committed to the grace of the (Lord *N(K)O*) by the brothers.
41 Og han for gjenom Syria og Kilikia og styrkte kyrkjelydarne.
He was passing through then Syria and (*no*) Cilicia strengthening the churches.
