2 Kongebok 16
1 I det syttande styringsåret åt Pekah Remaljason vart Ahaz Jotamsson konge i Juda.
In year seven-teen year of Pekah [the] son of Remaliah he became king Ahaz [the] son of Jotham [the] king of Judah.
2 Tjuge år gamall var Ahaz då han vart konge, og sekstan år rådde han i Jerusalem. Han gjorde ikkje det som rett var for Herren, hans Gud, som David, far hans.
[was] a son of Twenty year[s] Ahaz when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and not he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh God his like David ancestor his.
3 Han gjekk i fotefari til Israels-kongarne, ja, han vigde jamvel son sin i elden, likt med dei avstyggjelege skikkarne hjå dei folki Herren hadde rudt ut for Israels-sønerne.
And he walked in [the] way of [the] kings of Israel and also son his he made pass in the fire according to [the] abominations of the nations which he had dispossessed Yahweh them from before [the] people of Israel.
4 Han ofra slagtoffer, brende røykjelse på haugarne og på bakkarne, og under kvart grønt tre.
And he sacrificed and he made smoke at the high places and on the hills and under every tree luxuriant.
5 På den tid drog syrarkongen Resin og Israels-kongen Pekah Remaljason upp og vilde hertaka Jerusalem. Dei kringsette Ahaz, men vann ikkje taka byen.
Then he came up Rezin [the] king of Aram and Pekah [the] son of Remaliah [the] king of Israel Jerusalem for battle and they laid siege on Ahaz and not they were able to do battle.
6 Samstundes vann syrarkongen Resin Elat attende til Syria. Då han hadde kasta Juda-folki ut or Elat, kom syrarfolk kom og busette seg der, og der bur dei den dag i dag.
At the time that he restored Rezin [the] king of Aram Elath to Aram and he cleared out the Jews from Elath (and Edomites *Q(K)*) they came Elath and they have dwelt there until the day this.
7 Ahaz sende bod til assyrarkongen Tiglat-Pileser med dei ordi: «Eg er din træl og din son. Kom upp, og frels meg frå syrarkongen og Israels-kongen, som hev teke på meg!»
And he sent Ahaz messengers to Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria saying [am] servant your and son your I come up and deliver me from [the] hand of [the] king of Aram and from [the] hand of [the] king of Israel who are rising up on me.
8 Ahaz tok det sylvet og gullet som fanst i Herrens hus og skattkammeret i kongsgarden og sende det til gåva åt assyrarkongen.
And he took Ahaz the silver and the gold which was found [the] house of Yahweh and in [the] treasuries of [the] house of the king and he sent [it] to [the] king of Assyria a gift.
9 Assyrarkongen lydde honom, og assyrarkongen drog upp mot Damaskus, hertok byen og førde folket burt til Kir; og Resin slo han i hel.
And he listened to him [the] king of Assyria and he came up [the] king of Assyria to Damascus and he seized it and he took into exile it Kir towards and Rezin he put to death.
10 Kong Ahaz for til Damaskus til møtes med assyrarkongen Tiglat-Pileser. Då han fekk sjå altaret i Damaskus, sende kong Ahaz bilæte av altaret og eit fullkome mynster av det til presten Uria.
And he went the king Ahaz to meet Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria Damascus and he saw the altar which [was] in Damascus and he sent the king Ahaz to Uriah the priest [the] likeness of the altar and pattern its for all work its.
11 Og presten Uria bygde altaret; heilt etter den fyreskrift kong Ahaz hadde sendt frå Damaskus, soleis gjorde presten Uria det ferdigt, til dess kong Ahaz kom heim.
And he built Uriah the priest the altar according to all that he had sent the king Ahaz from Damascus so he did Uriah the priest until came the king Ahaz from Damascus.
12 Då kongen kom heim frå Damaskus og fekk sjå altaret, gjekk han innåt, steig upp på det,
And he came the king from Damascus and he saw the king the altar and he drew near the king to the altar and he offered up on it.
13 brende brennofferet og grjonofferet sitt, helte ut drykkofferet sitt og skvette blodet av takkofferi sine på altaret.
And he made smoke burnt offering his and grain offering his and he poured out drink offering his and he sprinkled [the] blood of the peace offerings which [belonged] to him on the altar.
14 Men koparaltaret som stod framfor Herrens åsyn, flutte han frå staden sin framfyre huset, millom Herrens hus og det nye altaret, og sette det på nordsida av dette altaret.
And the altar of bronze which [was] before Yahweh and he brought near from with [the] face of the house from between the altar and from between [the] house of Yahweh and he put it on [the] side of the altar north-ward.
15 Kong Ahaz baud presten Uria: «På storaltaret skal du brenna brennofferet um morgonen og grjonofferet um kvelden, kongens brennoffer og grjonoffer, og brennofferet for heile landslyden og grjonofferet deira og drykkofferet deira; alt blod av brennoffer og alt blod av slagtoffer skal du hella ut der. Kva eg vil gjera med koparaltaret, skal eg tenkja næmare etter.»
(And he commanded *Q(K)*) the king Ahaz Uriah the priest saying on the altar great make smoke [the] burnt offering of the morning and [the] grain offering of the evening and [the] burnt offering of the king and grain offering his and [the] burnt offering of all [the] people of the land and grain offering their and drink offerings their and all [the] blood of [the] burnt offering and all [the] blood of [the] sacrifice on it you will sprinkle and [the] altar of bronze it will belong to me to consult.
16 Presten Uria gjorde plent som kong Ahaz baud.
And he did Uriah the priest according to all that he commanded the king Ahaz.
17 Kong Ahaz braut laus listerne på fotstykki og tok baljorne ned derifrå; havet lyfte han ned frå koparuksarne som stod under, og sette det på eit steingolv.
And he cut off the king Ahaz the rims of the stands and he removed from on them (*Q(K)*) the laver and the sea he took down from on the ox[en] the bronze which [were] under it and he put it on a pavement of stone.
18 Kviledags-svalgangen som dei hadde bygt i huset, og den ytre konge-inngangen lagde han inn i Herrens hus for assyrarkongen skuld.
And ([the] covered structure of *Q(K)*) the sabbath which people had built in the house and [the] entrance of the king outer he removed [the] house of Yahweh because of [the] king of Assyria.
19 Det som elles er å fortelja um Ahaz, det han gjorde, det er uppskrive i krønikeboki åt Juda-kongarne.
And [the] rest of [the] matters of Ahaz which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.
20 Ahaz lagde seg til kvile hjå federne sine og vart gravlagd hjå federne sine i Davidsbyen. Og Hizkia, son hans, vart konge i staden hans.
And he lay down Ahaz with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Hezekiah son his in place of him.
