2 Krønikebok 29

1 Hizkia vart konge då han var tjuge år gamall, og ni og tjuge år styrde han i Jerusalem. Mor hans heitte Abia og var dotter åt Zakarja.

Hezekiah he became king a son of twenty and five year[s] and twenty and nine year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Abijah [the] daughter of Zechariah.

2 Han gjorde det som rett var i Herrens augo, nett som David, far hans, hadde gjort.

And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done David ancestor his.

3 I den fyrste månaden i det fyrste styringsåret sitt let han opna dørerne til Herrens hus og sette deim i stand.

He in the year first of reigning his in the month first he opened [the] doors of [the] house of Yahweh and he repaired them.

4 So let han prestarne og levitarne koma og stemnde deim saman på den opne plassen mot aust.

And he brought the priests and the Levites and he gathered them to [the] open place of the east.

5 Og han sagde til deim: «Høyr på meg, de levitar! No skal de helga dykk sjølve, og deretter skal de helga huset åt Herren, dykkar fedregud, og føra ureinskapen ut or heilagdomen.

And he said to them listen to me O Levites now consecrate yourselves and consecrate [the] house of Yahweh [the] God of ancestors your and bring out the impurity from the holy place.

6 For federne våre hev vore utrugne og hev gjort det som vondt var for augo åt Herren, vår Gud; dei hev gjenge burt ifrå honom, hev vendt si åsyn burt ifrå Herrens hus og snutt ryggen til det.

For they acted unfaithfully fathers our and they did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh God our and they forsook him and they turned faces their away from [the] tabernacle of Yahweh and they gave a back.

7 Dei hev og stengt dørerne til forhalli, hev sløkt lamporne; ikkje kveikt røykjelse eller ofra brennoffer i heilagdomen åt Israels Gud.

Also they shut [the] doors of the porch and they extinguished the lamps and incense not they made smoke and burnt offering[s] not they offered up in the holy place to [the] God of Israel.

8 Difor kom Herrens harm yver Juda og Jerusalem, og han gjorde deim til eit skræmsel, ei fæla og eit åtløgje, som de ser med eigne augo.

And it was [the] wrath of Yahweh towards Judah and Jerusalem and he has made them (into a terror *Q(K)*) into a horror and into a hissing just as you [are] seeing with own eyes your.

9 Til straff for dette er federne våre falne for sverdet, og sønerne og døtterne og konorne våre er hertekne.

And there! they have fallen fathers our by the sword and sons our and daughters our and wives our [are] in captivity on this.

10 Difor hev eg no sett meg fyre at eg vil gjera ei pakt med Herren, Israels Gud, so hans brennande harm må venda seg ifrå oss.

Now [is] with heart my to make a covenant to Yahweh [the] God of Israel and it may turn back from us [the] burning of anger his.

11 Lat det difor ikkje skorta dykk på ihuge, sønerne mine, for dykk hev Herren valt ut til å standa for hans åsyn og tena honom og vera tenarane hans og kveikja røykjelse for honom.»

O sons my now may not you be negligent for you he has chosen Yahweh to stand before him to serve him and to be of him servants and makers of smoke.

12 Då reiste levitarne seg: Mahat Amasaison og Joel Azarjason av kahatitsønerne; av Merari-sønerne Kis Abdison, og Azarja Jehallelelsson, og av gersonitarne Joah Zimmason, og Eden Joahsson.

And they arose the Levites Mahath [the] son of Amasai and Joel [the] son of Azariah of [the] descendants of the Kohathite[s] and of [the] descendants of Merari Kish [the] son of Abdi and Azariah [the] son of Jehallelel and of the Gershonite[s] Joah [the] son of Zimmah and Eden [the] son of Joah.

13 Av Elisafans-sønerne Simri og Je’uel, og av Asafs-sønerne Zakarja og Mattanja,

And of [the] descendants of Elizaphan Shimri (and Jeiel *Q(K)*) and of [the] descendants of Asaph Zechariah and Mattaniah.

14 og av Hemans-sønerne Jehuel og Sime’i, og av Jedutuns-sønerne Semaja og Uzziel.

And of [the] descendants of Heman (Jehiel *Q(K)*) and Shimei. And of [the] descendants of Jeduthun Shemaiah and Uzziel.

15 Dei samla brørne sine, og dei helga seg, og sidan gjekk dei inn for å reinsa Herrens hus, so som kongen hadde bode etter fyresegnerne frå Herren.

And they gathered relatives their and they consecrated themselves and they went according to [the] command of the king by [the] words of Yahweh to cleanse [the] house of Yahweh.

16 Og prestarne gjekk inn det indre av Herrens hus og reinsa det, og alt det ureine som dei fann i Herrens tempel, førde dei ut i tunet ved Herrens hus; der tok levitarne imot det og førde det ut i Kidronsdalen.

And they went the priests to within [the] house of Yahweh to cleanse [it] and they brought out all the uncleanness which they found in [the] temple of Yahweh to [the] court of [the] house of Yahweh and they received [it] the Levites to bring [it] out to [the] wadi of Kidron [the] outside towards.

17 Den fyrste dagen i den fyrste månaden tok dei til å helga, og den åttande dagen i månaden gjekk dei inn i Herrens forhall og helga Herrens hus i åtte dagar, og den sekstande dagen i den fyrste månaden var dei ferdige med det.

And they began on [day] one of the month first to consecrate and on day eight of the month they came to [the] porch of Yahweh and they consecrated [the] house of Yahweh for days eight and on day six-teen of the month first they finished.

18 So gjekk dei inn til kong Hizkia og sagde: «No hev me reinsa heile Herrens hus, brennofferaltaret og alt som til høyrer, og skodebrødsbordet og alt som til høyrer.

And they went within to Hezekiah the king and they said we have cleansed all [the] house of Yahweh [the] altar of the burnt offering and all utensils its and [the] table of the row and all utensils its.

19 Alle dei reidskaparne som kong Ahaz hev vanhelga i sin utruskap medan han var konge, deim hev me sett i stand og helga, og no stend dei framfyre Herrens altar.»

And all the utensils which he had rejected the king Ahaz in reign his in unfaithfulness his we have prepared and we have consecrated and there they [are] before [the] altar of Yahweh.

20 Tidleg um morgonen samla kong Hizkia dei øvste i byen og gjekk upp til Herrens hus.

And he rose early Hezekiah the king and he gathered [the] officials of the city and he went up [the] house of Yahweh.

21 Og dei førde fram sju uksar, sju verar, sju lamb og sju geitebukkar til syndoffer for kongeriket og heilagdomen og Juda; og han baud Arons-sønerne, prestarne, å ofra deim på Herrens altar.

And they brought young bulls seven and rams seven and lambs seven and he-goats of goats seven to a sin offering on the kingdom and on the sanctuary and on Judah and he said to [the] descendants of Aaron the priests to offer up on [the] altar of Yahweh.

22 Dei slagta då uksane, og prestarne tok imot blodet og skvette det på altaret; so slagta dei verarne og skvette blodet på altaret, so slagta dei lambi og skvette blodet på altaret.

And they slaughtered the cattle and they took the priests the blood and they sprinkled [it] the altar towards and they slaughtered the rams and they sprinkled the blood the altar towards and they slaughtered the lambs and they sprinkled the blood the altar towards.

23 Sidan førde dei syndofferbukkarne fram for kongen og lyden, og dei lagde henderne sine på deim,

And they brought near [the] goats of the sin offering before the king and the assembly and they laid hands their on them.

24 so slagta prestarne dei og hadde blodet deira på altaret til syndoffer, til soning for heile Israel; for kongen hadde sagt at brennofferet og syndofferet skulde vera for heile Israel.

And they slaughtered them the priests and they made a sin offering blood their the altar towards to make atonement on all Israel for for all Israel he had said the king the burnt offering and the sin offering.

25 Og han stelte upp levitarne i Herrens hus med cymblar, harpor og cithrar, soleis som David, Gad, sjåaren åt kongen, og profeten Natan hadde bode; for bodet um dette hadde Herren gjeve gjenom profetarne sine.

And he stationed the Levites [the] house of Yahweh with cymbals with lyres and with harps by [the] command of David and Gad [the] seer of the king and Nathan the prophet for [was] by [the] hand of Yahweh the commandment by [the] hand of prophets his.

26 Levitarne stod med Davids spelgogner, og prestarne med lurarne.

And they stood the Levites with [the] instruments of David and the priests with trumpets.

27 Og Hizkia baud at brennofferet skulde ofrast på altaret, og då ofringi tok til, byrja songen for Herren, og lurarne, medan spelgognerne åt David, Israels konge, styrde songen.

And he said Hezekiah to offer up the burnt offering to the altar and at [the] time [when] it began the burnt offering it began [the] song of Yahweh and the trumpets and on [the] hands of [the] instruments of David [the] king of Israel.

28 Då kasta heile lyden seg til jordi medan songen tona og lurarne let, og alt dette varde til ofringi var til endes.

And all the assembly [were] bowing down and the song [was] singing and the trumpets ([were] blowing a trumpet *Q(k)*) everything until was complete the burnt offering.

29 Då dei var ferdige med ofringi, fall kongen på kne og alle dei som var til stades med honom, og dei bad.

And just as finished to offer up they bowed down the king and all those [who] were found with him and they bowed down.

30 So baud kong Hizkia og hovdingarne at levitarne skulde syngja Herrens lov med ordi åt David og sjåaren Asaf, og dei song lovsongen med fagnad og bøygde seg og bad.

And he said Hezekiah the king and the officials to the Levites to praise Yahweh with [the] words of David and Asaph the seer and they praised to to joy and they bowed low and they bowed down.

31 Hizkia tok då til ords og sagde: «No hev de vigt dykk til Herren; kom då fram og før slagtofferi og lovofferi til Herrens hus!» Då førde lyden fram slagtoffer og lovoffer, og kvar ein som vart driven til det i hjarta sitt, førde fram brennoffer.

And he answered Hezekiah and he said now you have filled hand your to Yahweh draw near and bring sacrifices and thank-offerings to [the] house of Yahweh and they brought the assembly sacrifices and thank-offerings and every [person] willing of heart burnt offerings.

32 Dei brennofferi som lyden førde fram, var sytti uksar, hundrad verar og tvo hundrad lamb; alle dei var brennoffer for Herren.

And it was [the] number of the burnt offering[s] which they brought the assembly cattle seventy rams one hundred lambs two hundred [were] for a burnt offering to Yahweh all these.

33 Og heilagofferi var seks hundrad uksar og tri tusund sauer.

And the holy offerings [were] cattle six hundred and sheep three thousand.

34 Men det var ikkje mange nok av prestarne til å flå alle brennofferi, og brørne deira, levitarne, hjelpte deim difor med det, til arbeidet var fullgjort, og til dess alle prestarne hadde helga seg; for levitarne synte ein ærlegare vilje til å helga seg enn prestarne.

Only the priests they were to fewness and not they were able to skin all the burnt offerings and they helped them relatives their the Levites until was complete the work and until they had consecrated themselves the priests for the Levites [were] upright of heart to consecrate themselves more than the priests.

35 Dessutan var det ei mengd med brennoffer og attåt deim feittstykki av takkofferi og dei drykkofferi som høyrde til brennofferi. Soleis fekk dei i stand tenesta i Herrens hus.

And also burnt offering[s] to abundance with [the] fat of the peace offerings and with the drink offerings of the burnt offering and it was arranged [the] service of [the] house of Yahweh.

36 Og Hizkia og heile folket gledde seg yver det som Gud hadde gjort for folket; for alt dette gjekk fyre seg med eit slag.

And he rejoiced Hezekiah and all the people on what he had prepared God for the people for in suddenness it had happened the thing.
