1 Kongebok 6
1 I det fire hundrad og åttetiande året etter Israels-folket for ut or Egyptarland i månaden siv - det er den andre månaden i det fjorde året etter Salomo hadde vorte konge yver Israel - tok han til å byggja huset for Herren.
And it was in eighty year and four hundred year of [the] coming out of [the] people of Israel from [the] land of Egypt in the year fourth in [the] month of Ziv that [was] the month second of [the] reigning of Solomon over Israel and he built the house for Yahweh.
2 Huset som kong Salomo bygde for Herren, var seksti alner langt, tjuge alner breidt og tretti alner høgt.
And the house which he built the king Solomon for Yahweh [was] sixty cubit[s] length its and [was] twenty breadth its and [was] thirty cubit[s] height its.
3 Forhalli framanfor det heilage var tjuge alner lang langs etter breidsida på huset og ti alner breid framanfrå huset.
And the porch on [the] face of [the] temple of the house [was] twenty cubit[s] length its on [the] face of [the] breadth of the house [was] ten by the cubit breadth its on [the] face of the house.
4 Han laga vindaugo på huset med fast traleverk fyre.
And he made for the house windows of frames shut.
5 Og rundt umkring huset frammed veggen sette han upp ein tilbygnad, umkring både det heilage og det høgheilage, og reide til kovar der rundt ikring.
And he built on [the] wall of the house (an extension *Q(K)*) all around [the] walls of the house around the temple and the innermost room and he made side-chambers all around.
6 Den nedste høgdi var fem alner breid, millomhøgdi seks alner breid, og den tridje høgdi var sju alner breid; for han hadde gjort hjellar utantil rundt um på huset, so ikkje bjelkarne skulde ganga inn i husveggjerne.
(The extension *Q(K)*) lower [was] five by the cubit breadth its and the middle [extension] [was] six by the cubit breadth its and third [extension] [was] seven by the cubit breadth its for ledges he made for the house around [the] outside towards to not to have hold in [the] walls of the house.
7 Då huset vart reist, vart det bygt av stein som var tilhoggen i steinbrotet; difor høyrde ein korkje hamar eller øks eller noko jarnverkty i huset då det vart bygt.
And the house when was built it stone perfect quarry it was built and hammers and axe any article of iron not it was heard in the house when was built it.
8 Døri til midkoven stod på høgre sida av huset, med ei vindetropp kom ein upp i andre høgdi og frå andre høgdi upp i tridje høgdi.
[the] entrance of The side-chamber middle [was] to [the] side of the house south and by stairs people went up to the middle and from the middle to the thirty.
9 Då han hadde bygt huset fullferdigt, tekte han det med bjelkar og cederplankar i rader.
And he built the house and he finished it and he covered the house beams and planks with cedar.
10 Og tilbygnaden frammed heile huset sette han upp i høgder på fem alner; dei var feste til huset med cederbjelkar.
And he built (the extension *Q(K)*) on all the house [was] five cubits height its and he covered the house with wood of cedar.
11 Og Herrens ord kom til Salomo soleis:
And it came [the] word of Yahweh to Solomon saying.
12 «Dette huset som du byggjer - dersom du gjeng etter mine fyresegner og held loverne mine og agtar på alle bodordi mine og fylgjer deim, so vil eg stadfesta på deg det ordet som eg tala til David, far din,
The house this which you [are] building if you will walk in statutes my and judgments my you will observe and you will keep all commandments my to walk in them and I will establish word my with you which I spoke to David father your.
13 og eg vil bu hjå Israels-borni og ikkje slå handi av Israel, folket mitt.»
And I will dwell in among [the] people of Israel and not I will abandon people my Israel.
14 So bygde då Salomo huset og gjorde det fullferdigt.
And he built Solomon the house and he finished it.
15 Han klædde husveggjerne innvendes med cederbord; frå golvet i huset og like upp til loftslistarne klædde han det med bord innvendes, og golvet i huset klædde han yver med cypressplankar.
And he built [the] walls of the house from inside with boards of cedar from [the] floor of the house to [the] walls of the ceiling he overlaid wood from inside and he overlaid [the] floor of the house with boards of cypresses.
16 Tjuge alner fram ifrå baksida i templet sette han ein vegg av cederbord frå golvet og upp til loftslisterne, og dette reidde han til innvendes kor åt seg, det høgheilage.
And he built twenty cubit[s] (from [the] innermost parts of *Q(k)*) the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the walls and he built for it from inside to an innermost room to [the] holy place of the holy places.
17 Og huset - det heilage framanfor koret - var fyrti alner langt.
And forty by the cubit it was the house that [is] the temple before me.
18 Innantil hadde huset cederklædnad med utskorne kolokvintar og blomeband; alt saman der var av cedertre; ingen stein synte.
And cedar [was] to the house within carving of gourds and spread out [things] of flowers everything [was] cedar not stone [was] visible.
19 Inst i huset reidde han til ein kor til å setja Herrens sambandskista i.
And an innermost room in [the] middle of the house from within he prepared to put there [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh.
20 Og framanfor koren, som var tjuge alner lang og tjuge alner breid og tjuge alner høg, og som han klædde med skirt gull, sette han eit altar og klædde det med cedertre.
And before the innermost room [was] twenty cubit[s] length and [was] twenty cubit[s] breadth and [was] twenty cubit[s] height its and he overlaid it gold gold plate and he overlaid an altar cedar.
21 Og Salomo klædde huset innvendes med skirt gull, og han hengde gullkjedor frametter veggen framfor koren og klædde den og med gull.
And he overlaid Solomon the house from within gold gold plate and he made pass (with chains of *Q(K)*) gold before the innermost room and he overlaid it gold.
22 Heile huset klædde han med gull, til det var gullklædt heilt og halde. Han klædde og med gull heile altaret som høyrde til i koren.
And all the house he overlaid gold until was finished all the house and all the altar which [belonged] to the innermost room he overlaid gold.
23 Tvo kerubar av oljetre laga han og til i koren; ti alner var deira høgd.
And he made in the innermost room two cherubim wood of olive [was] ten cubits height its.
24 Fem alner var den eine kerubvengen fem alner var den andre, ti alner frå vengjesnipp til vengjesnipp.
And [was] five cubits [the] wing of the cherub one and [was] five cubits [the] wing of the cherub second [was] ten cubits from [the] ends of wings its and to [the] ends of wings its.
25 Ti alner var den andre keruben og; båe kerubarne hadde same mål og same skap.
And [was] ten by the cubit the cherub second a measurement one and a shape one [belonged] to [the] two the cherubim.
26 Den eine keruben var ti alner høg, og det same var den andre.
[the] height of The cherub one [was] ten by the cubit and thus the cherub second.
27 Og han sette kerubarne midt i inste romet i huset, og breidde ut vengjerne deira, so den eine keruben nådde burt i veggen med eine vengjen, og den andre keruben nådde veggen på hi sida med eine vengjen; og midt i huset nådde dei tvo andre vengjerne i hop.
And he put the cherubim in [the] middle of - the house inner and they spread out [the] wings of the cherubim and it touched [the] wing of the one [cherub] the wall and [the] wing of the cherub second [was] touching the wall second and wings their to [the] middle of the house [were] touching wing to wing.
28 Og han klædde kerubarne yver med gull.
And he overlaid the cherubim gold.
29 Og alle veggjer i huset rundt ikring prydde han med utskorne bilæte av kerubar og palmor og utsprotne blomar både i inste romet og i det ytre romet.
And all [the] walls of the house round about - he carved engravings of carvings of cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers from to faces and to the outer.
30 Golvet i huset klædde han yver med gull, både i inste romet og i det ytre.
And [the] floor of the house he overlaid gold to within and to the outer.
31 For inngangen til koren sette han vengdører av oljetre. Dørkarmen med stolparne var ein femtepart av veggen.
And [the] entrance of the innermost room he made doors of wood of olive the pillar doorposts of fifth.
32 Og dei tvo dørerne av oljetre prydde han med utskorne bilæte av kerubar og palmor og utsprotne blomar og klædde deim med gull. Han lagde gullet ut yver kerubarne og palmorne.
And two doors of wood of olive and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers and he overlaid [them] gold and he hammered out on the cherubim and on the palm trees the gold.
33 Sameleis sette han dørstolpar av oljetre for inngangen til det heilage, på fjordeparten av veggen,
And thus he made for [the] entrance of the temple doorposts of wood of olive from with a fourth.
34 og tvo vengdører av cypresstre, den eine vengdøri laga av tvo rørlege bordbreider, og den andre vengdøri laga av tvo rørlege bordbreider.
And two doors of wood of cypresses two sides the door one [were] revolving and two curtains the door second [were] revolving.
35 Og han fekk skore ut kerubar og palmor og utsprotne blomar og lagde på gull, som vart jamna utyver treskurden.
And he carved cherubim and palm trees and spread out [things] of flowers and he overlaid gold made smooth on the carved [work].
36 Den indre fyregarden gjerde han inn med tri rader hoggen stein og ei rad cederbjelkar.
And he built the court inner three rows of hewn [stone] and a row of beams of cedar.
37 I det fjorde året, i månaden siv, vart grunnen lagd til Herrens hus,
In the year fourth it was founded [the] house of Yahweh in [the] month of Ziv.
38 og i det ellevte året, i månaden bul - det er åttande månaden - var huset ferdigt i alle stykke og heilt som det skulde vera. I sju år var det då bygt på det.
And in the year one [plus] ten in [the] month of Bul that [was] the month eighth it was complete the house to all parts its and to all (plans its *Q(K)*) and he built it seven years.
