1 Krønikebok 9
1 Og heile Israel vart innførte i ættarlista, og no er dei uppskrivne i boki åt Israels-kongarne. Og Juda vart førd i utlægd til Babel for sin utruskap skuld.
And all [those of] Israel have reckoned themselves by genealogy, and behold, they are written on the scroll of the kings of Israel and Judah—they were removed to Babylon for their trespass.
2 Men det fyrre landsfolket som budde på eigedomen sin, i byarne sine; var vanlege israelitar, prestar, levitar og tempelsveinar.
And the first inhabitants, who [are] in their possession, in their cities, of Israel, [are] the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.
3 I Jerusalem budde nokre av Juda-sønerne, av Benjamins-sønerne og av Efraims- og Manasse-sønerne; det var:
And those who dwelt in Jerusalem of the sons of Judah, and of the sons of Benjamin, and of the sons of Ephraim and Manasseh:
4 Utai, son åt Ammihud, son åt Omri, son åt Imri, son åt Bani, av borni åt Peres Judason;
Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, of the sons of Perez, son of Judah.
5 av silonitarne: Asaja, den eldste, og sønerne hans;
And of the Shilonite: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.
6 og av Zerahs-sønerne: Je’uel og brørne deira, seks hundrad og nitti;
And of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brothers—six hundred and ninety.
7 av Benjamins-sønerne: Sallu, son åt Mesullam, son åt Hodavja, son åt Hassenua,
And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu son of Meshullam, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah,
8 og Jibneja, son åt Jeroham, og Ela, son åt Uzzi, son åt Mikri, og Mesullam, son åt Sefatja, son åt Re’uel, son åt Jibnija,
and Ibneiah son of Jeroham, and Elah son of Uzzi, son of Michri, and Meshullam son of Shephatiah, son of Reuel, son of Ibnijah.
9 og brørne deira etter ætterne sine, ni hundrad og seks og femti. Alle desse mennerne var hovdingar for ættgreiner, kvar for si ættgrein.
And their brothers, according to their generations, [are] nine hundred and fifty-six. All these [are] men, heads of fathers, according to the house of their fathers.
10 Og av prestarne: Jedaja og Jojarib og Jakin
And of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,
11 og Azarja, son åt Hilkia, son åt Mesullam, son åt Sadok, son åt Merajot, son åt Ahitub, hovdingen i Guds hus,
and Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshullam, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, leader in the house of God;
12 og Adaja, son åt Jeroham, son åt Pashur, son åt Malkia, og Masai, son åt Adiel, son åt Jahzera, son åt Mesullam, son åt Mesillemit, son åt Immer,
and Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah, and Maasai son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah, son of Meshullam, son of Meshillemith, son of Immer.
13 og brørne deira, hovdingar for ættgreinerne sine, eitt tusund og sju hundrad og seksti, dugande menner til å gjera tenesta i Guds hus.
And their brothers, heads of the house of their fathers, [are] one thousand and seven hundred and sixty, mighty in valor, for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Og av levitarne: Semaja, son åt Hassub, son åt Azrikam, son åt Hassabja, av Merari-sønerne,
And of the Levites: Shemaiah son of Hashshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
15 og Bakbakkar, Heres og Galal og Mattanja, son åt Mika, son åt Zikri, son åt Asaf,
and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah son of Micah, son of Zichri, son of Asaph;
16 og Obadja, son åt Semaja, son åt Galal, son åt Jedutun, og Berekja, son åt Asa, son åt Elkana, som budde i netofatit-bygderne.
and Obadiah son of Shemariah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun, and Berechiah, son of Asa, son of Elkanah, who is dwelling in the villages of the Netophathite.
17 Og dørvaktarane: Sallum og Akkub og Talmon og Ahiman og brørne deira; Sallum var hovdingen.
And the gatekeepers [are] Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brothers—Shallum [is] the head;
18 Og endå vaktar dei kongeporten, på austsida. Desse var dørvaktarar i levitlægri.
and until now they [are] at the gate of the king eastward; they [are] the gatekeepers for the companies of the sons of Levi.
19 Men Sallum, son åt Kore, son åt Ebjasaf, son åt Korah, og brørne hans som var av ættgreini hans, korahitarne, hadde den tenesta å halda vakt ved dørstokken til tjeldet; for federne deira hadde vakta inngangen til Herrens læger.
And Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his brothers, of the house of his father, the Korahites, [are] over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, and their fathers [are] over the camp of YHWH, keepers of the entrance;
20 Og Pinhas, son åt Eleazar, var i gamle dagar forstandaren deira; Herren var med honom!
and Phinehas son of Eleazar has been leader over them formerly; YHWH [is] with him.
21 Zakarja, son åt Meselemja, var dørvaktar ved møtetjelddøri.
Zechariah son of Meshelemiah [is] gatekeeper at the opening of the Tent of Meeting.
22 Alle desse var utvalde til dørvaktarar, tvo hundrad og tolv mann. Dei var uppskrivne i ættarlista i bygderne sine. David og sjåaren Samuel hadde sett deim til å tena på tru og æra.
All of those who are chosen for gatekeepers at the thresholds [are] two hundred and twelve; they [are] in their villages, by their genealogy; they whom David and Samuel the seer appointed in their office.
23 Dei og sønerne deira stod difor ved dørerne åt Herrens hus, tjeldhuset, og heldt vakt.
And they and their sons [are] over the gates of the house of YHWH, even of the house of the tent, by watches.
24 Etter dei fire himmelætterne stod dørvaktarane, mot aust, mot vest, mot nord og mot sud.
The gatekeepers are at [the] four sides: east, west, north, and south.
25 Og brørne deira, som budde i bygderne sine, skulde møta fram hjå deim sjuande kvar dag, og alltid på same timen.
And their brothers in their villages [are] to come in with these for seven days from time to time.
26 For desse fire var på tru og æra sette formenner for dørvaktarane. Dette var no levitarne. Dei hadde og tilsyn med kovarne og buderne i Guds hus.
For the four chiefs of the gatekeepers in office, they are Levites, and they have been over the chambers, and over the treasuries of the house of God,

and they lodge around the house of God, for the watch [is] on them, and they [are] over the opening, even morning by morning.

And [some] of them [are] over the vessels of service, for they bring them in by number, and by number they take them out.
29 Og sume av deim var sette til å hava tilsyn med dei andre gognerne, alle dei andre gognerne i heilagdomen, og med det fine mjølet og vinen og oljen og røykjelsen og kryddorne.
And [some] of them are appointed over the vessels, even over all the vessels of the holy place, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 Men nokre av prestesønerne laga kryddesalven.
And [some] of the sons of the priests are mixing the mixture for spices.
31 Og Mattitja, ein av levitarne, eldste son åt korahiten Sallum, hadde på tru og æra tilsynet med brødbakstren.
And Mattithiah of the Levites (he [is] the firstborn to Shallum the Korahite), [is] in office over the work of the pans.
32 Og nokre av kahatitarne, brørne deira, såg til med skodebrødi og skulde laga deim til for kvar kviledag.
And of the sons of the Kohathite, [some] of their brothers [are] over the bread of the arrangement, to prepare [it] Sabbath by Sabbath.
33 Dette var songarane, hovdingar for levitættar; dei slapp å gjera anna arbeid, og heldt til i kovarne; for dei laut halda på med sine eigne gjeremål natt og dag.
And these who sing, heads of fathers of the Levites, in the chambers, [are] free, for [they are] over them in the work by day and by night.
34 Dette var hovdingar for ættgreinerne av levitarne, hovdingar etter si ætt; dei budde i Jerusalem.
These heads of the fathers of the Levites [are] heads throughout their generations. These have dwelt in Jerusalem.
35 I Gibeon budde Je’uel, far hans Gibeon, og kona hans heitte Ma’aka.
And the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, has dwelt in Gibeon, and the name of his wife [is] Maachah;
36 Og den fyrste son hans var Abdon; og so Sur, Kis, Ba’al, Ner og Nadab,
and his son, the firstborn, [is] Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Ba‘al, and Ner, and Nadab,
37 Gedor og Ahjo, Zakarja og Miklot.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38 Men Miklot fekk sonen Simeam. Dei og budde i lag med brørne sine i Jerusalem, midt fyre brørne sine.
And Mikloth begot Shimeam, and they have also dwelt opposite their brothers—with their brothers in Jerusalem.
39 Og Ner fekk sonen Kis, og Kis fekk sonen Saul, og Saul fekk sønerne Jonatan og Malkisua, Abinadab og Esba’al.
And Ner begot Kish, and Kish begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchi-Shua, and Abinadab, and Esh-Ba‘al.
40 Son åt Jonatan var Meribba’al, og Meribba’al fekk sonen Mika.
And a son of Jonathan [is] Merib-Ba‘al, and Merib-Ba‘al begot Micah.
41 Sønerne hans Mika var Piton og Melek og Tahrea.
And sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea,
42 Ahaz fekk sonen Jara, og Jara fekk sønerne Alemet, Azmavet og Zimri, og Zimri fekk sonen Mosa.
and Ahaz—he begot Jaarah, and Jaarah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri, and Zimri begot Moza,
43 Mosa fekk sonen Bina. Hans son var Refaja; hans son var Elasa; hans son var Asel.
and Moza begot Binea, and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
44 Og Asel hadde seks søner, og namni deira var: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ismael, Searja, Obadja og Hanan. Dette var sønerne åt Asel.
And to Azel [are] six sons, and these [are] their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan; these [are] sons of Azel.
