Sakarias 10
1 Bed Herren om regn når tiden for vårregnet er inne! Herren sender lynstråler, og regnskyll skal han gi dem, så hver mann får grøde på sin mark.
Ask from Yahweh rain at [the] time of spring rain Yahweh [is] making thunder-clouds and rain of rain he gives to them to everyone vegetation in the field.
2 For husgudene talte usant, og spåmennene skuet løgn; tomme drømmer forkynte de, og den trøst de gav, var intet verd; derfor måtte folket dra avsted som får og li ondt, fordi der ingen hyrde var.
For the teraphim they speak wickedness and the diviners they see falsehood and [the] dreams of worthlessness they speak futility they comfort! there-fore they have set out like sheep they are afflicted for there not [is] a shepherd.
3 Mot hyrdene er min vrede optendt, og bukkene vil jeg hjemsøke; for Herren, hærskarenes Gud, ser til sin hjord, Judas hus, og gjør den lik sin stolte stridshest.
Towards the shepherds it has burned anger my and on the leaders I will visit [judgment] for he visits Yahweh of hosts flock his [the] house of Judah and he will make them like [the] horse of majesty his in battle.
4 Fra det skal hjørnestenene komme, fra det naglene, fra det krigsbuene - fra det skal alle herskere utgå.
From it a corner from it a peg from it a bow of war from it he will come forth every ruler together.
5 Og de skal være lik kjemper som trår sine fiender ned i krigen likesom skarnet på gatene; ja, stride skal de, for Herren er med dem, og de som rider på hester, skal bli til skamme.
And they will be like warriors treading down in [the] mud of [the] streets in battle and they will fight for Yahweh [will be] with them and they will put to shame riders of horses.
6 Jeg vil styrke Judas hus og frelse Josefs hus og gi dem et bosted; for jeg forbarmer mig over dem, og de skal være som om jeg aldri hadde forkastet dem; for jeg er Herren deres Gud og vil bønnhøre dem.
And I will make strong - [the] house of Judah and [the] house of Joseph I will save and I will restore them for I have compassion on them and they will be just as not I had rejected them for I [am] Yahweh God their and I will answer them.
7 Og Efra'ims menn skal være lik kjemper, og deres hjerter skal bli glade som av vin; deres barn skal se det og glede sig, deres hjerter skal fryde sig i Herren.
And they will be like a warrior Ephraim and it will be glad heart their like wine and children their they will see and they will be glad it may rejoice heart their in Yahweh.
8 Jeg vil pipe til dem og samle dem, for jeg har utfridd dem; og de skal bli tallrike, som de har vært.
I will whistle for them and I will gather them for I have redeemed them and they will multiply as they multiplied.
9 Og jeg vil så dem ut blandt folkene, men i de fjerne land skal de komme mig i hu; og de skal leve med sine barn og komme tilbake.
And I will sow them among the peoples and in the distant places they will remember me and they will live with children their and they will return.
10 Og jeg vil føre dem tilbake fra Egyptens land og samle dem fra Assur og føre dem til Gileads land og til Libanon, og der skal det ikke bli rum nok for dem.
And I will bring back them from [the] land of Egypt and from Assyria I will gather them and to [the] land of Gilead and Lebanon I will bring them and not it will be found for them.
11 Han skal dra frem gjennem havet, gjennem farer, og slå ned bølgene i havet, og alle Nilens dyp skal tørkes ut, og Assurs stolthet skal støtes ned, og kongespiret skal vike fra Egypten.
And he will pass in the sea trouble and he will strike in the sea waves and they will dry up all [the] depths of [the] River and it will be brought down [the] pride of Assyria and [the] scepter of Egypt it will depart.
12 Jeg vil gjøre dem sterke i Herren, og i hans navn skal de gå frem, sier Herren.
And I will make strong them by Yahweh and in name his they will go about [the] utterance of Yahweh.
