1 Derefter så jeg fire engler som stod på jordens fire hjørner og holdt jordens fire vinder, forat det ikke skulde blåse nogen vind over jorden eller over havet eller på noget tre.
And after that, I sawe foure Angels stand on the foure corners of the earth, holding the foure windes of the earth, that the winds should not blow on the earth, neither on the sea, neither on any tree.
2 Og jeg så en annen engel, som steg op fra solens opgang og hadde den levende Guds segl, og han ropte med høi røst til de fire engler som det var gitt å skade jorden og havet, og sa:
And I sawe another Angel come vp from the East, which had the seale of the liuing God, and hee cried with a loud voice to the foure Angels to who power was giuen to hurt the earth, and the sea, saying,
3 Skad ikke jorden eller havet eller trærne før vi har satt innsegl på vår Guds tjenere i deres panner!
Hurt ye not the earth, neither the sea, neither the trees, til we haue sealed the seruants of our God in their foreheads.
4 Og jeg hørte tallet på dem som var beseglet: hundre og fire og firti tusen beseglede av alle Israels barns stammer:
And I heard the number of them, which were sealed, and there were sealed an hundreth and foure and fourtie thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5 av Juda stamme tolv tusen beseglede, av Rubens stamme tolv tusen, av Gads stamme tolv tusen,
Of the tribe of Iuda were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Ruben were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelue thousande.
6 av Asers stamme tolv tusen, av Naftali stamme tolv tusen, av Manasse stamme tolv tusen,
Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelue thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthali were sealed twelue thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelue thousand.
7 av Simeons stamme tolv tusen, av Levi stamme tolv tusen, av Issakars stamme tolv tusen,
Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Leui were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelue thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelue thousand.
8 av Sebulons stamme tolv tusen, av Josefs stamme tolv tusen, av Benjamins stamme tolv tusen beseglede.
Of the tribe of Ioseph were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Beniamin were sealed twelue thousand.
9 Derefter så jeg, og se, en stor skare, som ingen kunde telle, av alle ætter og stammer og folk og tunger, som stod for tronen og for Lammet, klædd i lange hvite kjortler, og med palmegrener i sine hender;
After these thinges I behelde, and loe a great multitude, which no man coulde number, of all nations and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stoode before the throne, and before the Lambe, clothed with long white robes, and palmes in their hands.
10 og de ropte med høi røst og sa: Frelsen tilhører vår Gud, han som sitter på tronen, og Lammet!
And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Saluation commeth of our God, that sitteth vpon the throne, and of the Lambe.
11 Og alle englene stod omkring tronen og om de eldste og om de fire livsvesener, og de falt ned for tronen på sitt åsyn og tilbad Gud og sa:
And all the Angels stoode rounde about the throne, and about the Elders, and the foure beastes, and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Amen! Velsignelsen og prisen og visdommen og takken og æren og makten og styrken tilhører vår Gud i all evighet! Amen. (aiōn g165)
Saying, Amen. Praise, and glorie, and wisdom, and thankes, and honour, and power, and might bee vnto our God for euermore, Amen. (aiōn g165)
13 Og en av de eldste tok til orde og sa til mig: Disse som er klædd i de lange hvite kjortler, hvem er de, og hvor er de kommet fra?
And one of the Elders spake, saying vnto me, What are these which are araied in log white robes? and whence came they?
14 Og jeg sa til ham: Herre! du vet det. Og han sa til mig: Dette er de som kommer ut av den store trengsel, og de har tvettet sine kjortler og gjort dem hvite i Lammets blod.
And I saide vnto him, Lord, thou knowest. And he saide to me, These are they, which came out of great tribulation, and haue washed their long robes, and haue made their long robes white in the blood of the Lambe.
15 Derfor er de for Guds trone og tjener ham dag og natt i hans tempel, og han som sitter på tronen, skal reise sin bolig over dem.
Therefore are they in the presence of the throne of God, and serue him day and night in his Temple, and he that sitteth on the throne, wil dwell among them.
16 De skal ikke hungre mere, heller ikke tørste mere; solen skal heller ikke falle på dem, eller nogen hete;
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, neither shall the sunne light on them, neither any heate.
17 for Lammet, som er midt for tronen, skal vokte dem og føre dem til livsens vannkilder, og Gud skal tørke bort hver tåre av deres øine.
For the Lambe, which is in the middes of the throne, shall gouerne them, and shall leade them vnto the liuely fountaines of waters, and God shall wipe away all teares from their eyes.
