1 Av Salomo. Gud, gi kongen dine dommer og kongesønnen din rettferdighet!
`To Salomon.
2 Han skal dømme ditt folk med rettferdighet og dine elendige med rett.
God, yyue thi doom to the king; and thi riytfulnesse to the sone of a king. To deme thi puple in riytfulnesse; and thi pore men in doom.
3 Fjellene skal bære fred for folket, og haugene for rettferdighets skyld.
Mounteyns resseyue pees to the puple; and litle hillis resseyue riytfulnesse.
4 Han skal dømme de elendige blandt folket, han skal frelse den fattiges barn og knuse voldsmannen.
He schal deme the pore men of the puple, and he schal make saaf the sones of pore men; and he schal make low the false chalengere.
5 De skal frykte dig, så lenge solen er til, og så lenge månen skinner, fra slekt til slekt.
And he schal dwelle with the sunne, and bifore the moone; in generacioun and in to generacioun.
6 Han skal komme ned som regn på en nyslått eng, lik en regnskur, som væter jorden.
He schal come doun as reyn in to a flees; and as goteris droppinge on the erthe.
7 I hans dager skal den rettferdige blomstre, og det skal være megen fred, inntil månen ikke er mere.
Riytfulnesse schal come forth in hise dayes, and the aboundaunce of pees; til the moone be takun awei.
8 Og han skal herske fra hav til hav og fra elven inntil jordens ender.
And he schal be lord fro the-see `til to the see; and fro the flood til to the endis of the world.
9 For hans åsyn skal de som bor i ørkenene, bøie kne, og hans fiender skal slikke støv.
Ethiopiens schulen falle doun bifore hym; and hise enemyes schulen licke the erthe.
10 Kongene fra Tarsis og øene skal komme med gaver, kongene fra Sjeba og Seba frembære skatt.
The kyngis of Tarsis and ilis schulen offre yiftis; the kyngis of Arabie and of Saba schulen brynge yiftis.
11 Alle konger skal falle ned for ham, alle hedninger skal tjene ham.
And alle kyngis schulen worschipe hym; alle folkis schulen serue hym.
12 For han skal frelse den fattige som roper, og den elendige som ingen hjelper har.
For he schal delyuer a pore man fro the miyti; and a pore man to whom was noon helpere.
13 Han skal spare den ringe og fattige, og frelse de fattiges sjeler.
He schal spare a pore man and nedi; and he schal make saaf the soulis of pore men.
14 Han skal forløse deres sjel fra undertrykkelse og fra vold, og deres blod skal være dyrt i hans øine.
He schal ayen bie the soulis of hem fro vsuris, and wickidnesse; and the name of hem is onourable bifor hym.
15 Og de skal leve og gi ham av Sjebas gull og alltid bede for ham; hele dagen skal de love ham.
And he schal lyue, and me schal yyue to hym of the gold of Arabie; and thei schulen euere worschipe of hym, al dai thei schulen blesse hym.
16 Det skal bli overflod av korn i landet på fjellenes topp, dets frukt skal suse som Libanon, og det skal fremblomstre folk av byene som gresset på jorden.
Stidefastnesse schal be in the erthe, in the hiyeste places of mounteyns; the fruyt therof schal be enhaunsid aboue the Liban; and thei schulen blosme fro the citee, as the hey of erthe doith.
17 Hans navn skal bli til evig tid; så lenge solen skinner, skal hans navn skyte friske skudd, og de skal velsigne sig ved ham; alle hedninger skal prise ham salig.
His name be blessid in to worldis; his name dwelle bifore the sunne. And all the lynagis of erthe schulen be blessid in hym; alle folkis schulen magnyfie hym.
18 Lovet være Gud Herren, Israels Gud, han, den eneste som gjør undergjerninger!
Blessid be the Lord God of Israel; which aloone makith merueiylis.
19 Og lovet være hans herlighets navn til evig tid, og all jorden bli full av hans herlighet! Amen, amen.
Blessid be the name of his maieste with outen ende; and al erthe schal be fillid with his maieste; be it doon, be it doon.
20 Ende på Davids, Isais sønns bønner.
`The preieris of Dauid, the sone of Ysay, ben endid.
