Salmenes 33
1 Juble, I rettferdige, i Herren! For de opriktige sømmer sig lovsang.
Shout for joy O righteous [people] in Yahweh for upright [people] [is] fitting praise.
2 Pris Herren med citar, lovsyng ham til tistrenget harpe!
Give thanks to Yahweh with harp with lyre of ten make music to him.
3 Syng en ny sang for ham, spill liflig med frydesang!
Sing to him a song new do well to play with a shout of joy.
4 For Herrens ord er sant, og all hans gjerning er trofast.
For [is] upright [the] word of Yahweh and all work his [is] in faithfulness.
5 Han elsker rettferdighet og rett; jorden er full av Herrens miskunnhet.
[he is] loving Righteousness and justice [the] covenant loyalty of Yahweh it is full the earth.
6 Himlene er skapt ved Herrens ord, og all deres hær ved hans munns ånde.
By [the] word of Yahweh [the] heavens they were made and by [the] breath of mouth his all host their.
7 Han samler havets vann som en dynge, han legger de dype vann i forrådshus.
[he is] gathering Like heap [the] waters of the sea [he is] putting in storehouses [the] deeps.
8 All jorden frykte for Herren, for ham beve alle de som bor på jorderike!
Let them fear from Yahweh all the earth from him let them be afraid all [the] inhabitants of [the] world.
9 For han talte, og det skjedde; han bød, og det stod der.
For he he spoke and it was he he commanded and it stood forth.
10 Herren omstøter hedningenes råd, han gjør folkenes tanker til intet.
Yahweh he makes ineffectual [the] counsel of nations he frustrates [the] plans of peoples.
11 Herrens råd står fast evindelig, hans hjertes tanker fra slekt til slekt.
[the] counsel of Yahweh for ever it stands [the] plans of heart his to a generation and a generation.
12 Salig er det folk hvis Gud Herren er, det folk han har utvalgt til sin arv.
How blessed! [is] the nation which Yahweh [is] God its the people - [which] he has chosen to an inheritance for himself.
13 Fra himmelen skuer Herren ned han ser alle menneskenes barn.
From [the] heavens he looks Yahweh he sees all [the] children of humankind.
14 Fra det sted hvor han bor, ser han ned til alle dem som bor på jorden,
From [the] place of dwelling his he looks to all [the] inhabitants of the earth.
15 han som har skapt deres hjerter alle sammen, han som gir akt på alle deres gjerninger.
The [one who] forms together heart their the [one who] attends to all deeds their.
16 En konge frelses ikke ved sin store makt, en helt reddes ikke ved sin store kraft.
Not king [is] saved by greatness of army a warrior not he is delivered by greatness of strength.
17 Hesten er ikke å stole på til frelse, og med sin store styrke redder den ikke.
[is] a vain hope Horse for victory and by [the] greatness of strength its not it delivers.
18 Se, Herrens øie ser til dem som frykter ham, som bier på hans miskunnhet,
Here! [the] eye of Yahweh [is] to [those] fearing him to [those who] hope for covenant loyalty his.
19 for å utfri deres sjel fra døden og holde dem i live i hungersnød.
To deliver from death life their and to preserve alive them in famine.
20 Vår sjel bier på Herren; han er vår hjelp og vårt skjold.
Self our it waits for Yahweh [is] help our and shield our he.
21 For i ham fryder vårt hjerte sig, fordi vi setter vår lit til hans hellige navn.
For in him it rejoices heart our for in [the] name of holiness his we trust.
22 Din miskunnhet, Herre, være over oss, således som vi håper på dig!
May it be covenant loyalty your O Yahweh toward us just as we hope for you.
