1 En salme til lovprisning. Rop med fryd for Herren, all jorden!

[A Psalm of thanksgiving.] Shout for joy to Jehovah, all you lands.

2 Tjen Herren med glede, kom frem for hans åsyn med jubel!

Serve Jehovah with gladness. Come before his presence with singing.

3 Kjenn at Herren er Gud! Han har skapt oss, og ikke vi selv, til sitt folk og til den hjord han før.

Know that Jehovah, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we belong to him. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Gå inn i hans porter med pris, i hans forgårder med lov, pris ham, lov hans navn!

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name.

5 For Herren er god; hans miskunnhet varer til evig tid, og hans trofasthet fra slekt til slekt.

For Jehovah is good. His loving kindness endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
