Nehemias 7
1 Da nu muren var bygget, satte jeg inn dørene, og dørvokterne og sangerne og levittene blev satt til sin gjerning.
Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 Og jeg satte min bror Hanani til befalingsmann over Jerusalem og sammen med ham Hananja, borgens høvedsmann; for han var en pålitelig mann og gudfryktig fremfor de fleste.
That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he [was] a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3 Og jeg sa til dem: Jerusalems porter skal ikke åpnes før solen brenner hett, og mens de ennu står der, skal dørene lukkes og tillåses, og det skal settes ut vakter av Jerusalems innbyggere, hver på sin post og hver utenfor sitt hus.
And I said to them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun shall be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar [them]: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one [to be] over against his house.
4 Byen var vid og stor, men folket i den var fåtallig, og ingen nye hus var bygget.
Now the city [was] large and great: but the people in it [were] few, and the houses [were] not built.
5 Da gav min Gud mig i sinne å samle de fornemste og forstanderne og folket for å innføres i ættelister, og jeg fant boken med ættelistene over dem som først hadde draget hjem, og der fant jeg skrevet:
And my God put into my heart to assemble the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them who came up at the first, and found written in it,
6 Dette er de menn fra landskapet Juda som drog hjem fra fangenskapet i det fremmede land - de som kongen i Babel Nebukadnesar hadde bortført, og som nu er vendt tilbake til Jerusalem og Juda, hver til sin by,
These [are] the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one to his city;
7 de som fulgte med Serubabel, Josva, Nehemias, Asarja, Ra'amja, Nahamani, Mordekai, Bilsan, Misperet, Bigvai, Nehum, Ba'ana. Dette er tallet på mennene av Israels folk:
Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, [I say], of the men of the people of Israel [was this];

The children of Parosh, two thousand a hundred and seventy two.

The children of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy two.

The children of Arah, six hundred and fifty two.
11 Pahat-Moabs barn av Josvas og Joabs efterkommere, to tusen åtte hundre og atten;
The children of Pahath-moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred [and] eighteen.
12 Elams barn, tusen to hundre og fire og femti;
The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred and fifty four.
13 Sattus barn, åtte hundre og fem og firti;
The children of Zattu, eight hundred and forty five.
14 Sakkais barn, syv hundre og seksti;
The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty.
15 Binnuis barn, seks hundre og åtte og firti;
The children of Binnui, six hundred and forty eight.
16 Bebais barn, seks hundre og åtte og tyve;
The children of Bebai, six hundred and twenty eight.
17 Asgads barn, to tusen tre hundre og to og tyve;
The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred and twenty two.
18 Adonikams barn, seks hundre og syv og seksti;
The children of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty seven.
19 Bigvais barn, to tusen og syv og seksti;
The children of Bigvai, two thousand and sixty seven.
20 Adins barn, seks hundre og fem og femti;
The children of Adin, six hundred and fifty five.
21 Aters barn av Esekias' ætt, åtte og nitti;
The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety eight.
22 Hasums barn, tre hundre og åtte og tyve;
The children of Hashum, three hundred and twenty eight.

The children of Hariph, a hundred and twelve.
25 Gibeons barn, fem og nitti;
The children of Gibeon, ninety five.

The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred and twenty one.

The men of Michmas, a hundred and twenty two.
32 mennene fra Betel og Ai, hundre og tre og tyve;
The men of Beth-el and Ai, a hundred and twenty three.
33 mennene fra det annet Nebo, to og femti;
The men of the other Nebo, fifty two.

The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred and forty seven.

The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,

The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,

The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,

The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,

The children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha,

The children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Tamah,
56 Nesiahs barn, Hatifas barn.
The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.

The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58 Ja'alas barn, Darkons barn, Giddels barn,
The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59 Sefatjas barn, Hattils barn, Pokeret-Hasseba'ims barn, Amons barn.
The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
60 Alle tempeltjenerne og Salomos tjeneres barn var tilsammen tre hundre og to og nitti.
All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, [were] three hundred and ninety two.
61 Og dette er de som drog hjem fra Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsa, Kerub, Addon og Immer, men ikke kunde opgi sin familie og sin ætt, om de var av Israel:
And these [were] they who went up [also] from Tel-mela, Tel-haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not show their fathers house, nor their seed, whether they [were] of Israel.
62 Delajas barn, Tobias' barn, Nekodas barn, seks hundre og to og firti,
The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred and forty two.

And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, who took [one] of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite for a wife, and was called after their name.

These sought their register [among] those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
65 og stattholderen sa til dem at de ikke skulde ete av det høihellige før det fremstod en prest med urim og tummim.
And the Tirshatha said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand [up] a priest with Urim and Thummim.
66 Hele menigheten var i alt to og firti tusen tre hundre og seksti
The whole congregation together [was] forty two thousand three hundred and sixty.
67 foruten deres tjenere og tjenestepiker, som var syv tusen tre hundre og syv og tretti. De hadde også med sig to hundre og fem og firti sangere og sangerinner.
Besides their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom [there were] seven thousand three hundred and thirty seven: and they had two hundred and forty five singing-men and singing-women.
68 De hadde syv hundre og seks og tretti hester, to hundre og fem og firti mulesler,
Their horses, seven hundred and thirty six: their mules, two hundred and forty five:
69 fire hundre og fem og tretti kameler og seks tusen syv hundre og tyve asener.
[Their] camels, four hundred and thirty five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
70 Nogen av familiehodene gav gaver til arbeidet. Stattholderen gav til kassen tusen dariker i gull, dessuten femti skåler og fem hundre og tretti prestekjortler.
And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
71 Og nogen av familiehodene gav til arbeidskassen tyve tusen dariker i gull og to tusen og to hundre miner i sølv.
And [some] of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work, twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pounds of silver.
72 Og det som resten av folket gav, var tyve tusen dariker i gull og to tusen miner i sølv og dessuten syv og seksti prestekjortler.
And [that] which the rest of the people gave [was] twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty seven priests' garments.
73 Både prestene og levittene og dørvokterne og sangerne og nogen av det menige folk og tempeltjenerne og hele Israel ellers bosatte sig i sine byer. Da den syvende måned kom, bodde Israels barn i sine byer.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and [some] of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel [were] in their cities.
