Josvas 1
1 Efter Moses', Herrens tjeners død sa Herren til Josva, Nuns sønn, Moses' tjener:
And it was after [the] death of Moses [the] servant of Yahweh and he said Yahweh to Joshua [the] son of Nun [the] servant of Moses saying.
2 Moses, min tjener, er død; så gjør dig nu rede og dra over Jordan her med hele dette folk til det land som jeg vil gi Israels barn!
Moses servant my he has died and therefore arise pass over the Jordan this you and all the people this into the land which I [am] about to give to them to [the] people of Israel.
3 Hvert sted I setter eders fot på, gir jeg eder, som jeg sa til Moses:
Every place which it will tread [the] sole of foot your on it to you I have given it just as I spoke to Moses.
4 Fra ørkenen og Libanon der nord like til den store elv, elven Frat - over hele hetittenes land og helt til det store hav i vest skal eders land nå.
From the wilderness and Lebanon this and to the river great [the] river of Euphrates all [the] land of the Hittites and to the sea great [the] setting of the sun it will be territory your.
5 Ingen skal kunne stå sig mot dig alle ditt livs dager; likesom jeg var med Moses, vil jeg være med dig; jeg vil ikke slippe dig og ikke forlate dig.
Not he will stand anyone before you all [the] days of life your just as I was with Moses I will be with you not I will abandon you and not I will leave you.
6 Vær frimodig og sterk! For du skal skifte ut til arv blandt dette folk det land som jeg tilsvor deres fedre å ville gi dem.
Be strong and be bold for you you will cause to inherit the people this the land which I swore to fathers their to give to them.
7 Vær du bare riktig frimodig og sterk, så du akter vel på å gjøre efter hele den lov som Moses, min tjener, lærte dig! Vik ikke av fra den, hverken til høire eller til venstre, så du kan gå viselig frem i alt det du tar dig fore!
Only be strong and be bold exceedingly to take care to do according to all the law which he commanded you Moses servant my may not you turn aside from it right and left so that you may prosper in every where you will go.
8 Denne lovens bok skal ikke vike fra din munn, men du skal grunde på den dag og natt, så du akter vel på å gjøre efter alt det som står skrevet i den; da skal du ha lykke på dine veier, og da skal du gå viselig frem.
Not it will depart [the] book of the law this from mouth your and you will meditate on it by day and night so that you may take care to do according to every [thing] written in it for then you will make successful ways your and then you will be successful.
9 Har jeg ikke befalt dig: Vær frimodig og sterk, frykt ikke og reddes ikke? For Herren din Gud er med dig i alt det du tar dig fore.
¿ Not have I commanded you be strong and be bold may not you be terrified and may not you be dismayed for [is] with you Yahweh God your in every where you will go.
10 Da bød Josva folkets tilsynsmenn og sa:
And he commanded Joshua [the] officers of the people saying.
11 Gå midt igjennem leiren og byd folket og si: Lag i stand reisekost for eder! For om tre dager skal I gå over Jordan her, så I kan komme og innta det land som Herren eders Gud gir eder til eie.
Pass - in [the] midst of the camp and command the people saying prepare for yourselves food for in yet - three days you [are] about to pass over the Jordan this to go to take possession of the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to you to take possession of it.
12 Og til rubenittene og gadittene og den halve Manasse stamme sa Josva:
And to the Reubenite[s] and to the Gadite[s] and to [the] half of [the] tribe of Manasseh he said Joshua saying.
13 Kom i hu det som Moses, Herrens tjener, bød eder da han sa: Herren eders Gud lar eder nu komme til ro og gir eder dette land.
Remember the word which he commanded you Moses [the] servant of Yahweh saying Yahweh God your [is] giving rest to you and he will give to you the land this.
14 Eders hustruer, eders barn og eders fe skal bli i det land Moses har gitt eder østenfor Jordan; men selv skal I, så mange av eder som er djerve stridsmenn, dra fullt rustet frem foran eders brødre og hjelpe dem,
Wives your little one[s] your and livestock your they will remain in the land which he gave to you Moses on [the] other side of the Jordan and you you will pass over arrayed for battle before brothers your all [the] mighty [men] of strength and you will help them.
15 inntil Herren lar eders brødre komme til ro likesom eder, og også de har tatt det land i eie som Herren eders Gud gir dem; da skal I vende tilbake og bosette eder i eders eget land, det som Moses, Herrens tjener, gav eder på østsiden av Jordan.
Until that he will give rest Yahweh - to brothers your like you and they will take possession of also they the land which Yahweh God your [is] about to give to them and you will return to [the] land of possession your and you will take possession of it which - he gave to you Moses [the] servant of Yahweh on [the] other side of the Jordan [the] rising of the sun.
16 Da svarte de Josva og sa: Alt det du har befalt oss, vil vi gjøre, og hvor du sender oss, vil vi gå.
And they answered Joshua saying all that you have commanded us we will do and to every where you will send us we will go.
17 Aldeles som vi lød Moses, vil vi lyde dig, bare Herren din Gud må være med dig, likesom han var med Moses.
According to all that we listened to Moses so we will listen to you only may he be Yahweh God your with you just as he was with Moses.
18 Enhver som er gjenstridig mot din befaling og ikke lyder dine ord i alt det du byder ham, han skal dø. Vær bare frimodig og sterk!
Every person who he will rebel toward mouth your and not he will obey words your to all that you will command him he will be put to death only be strong and be bold.
