1 Mosebok 31
1 Så fikk han høre at Labans sønner hadde sagt: Jakob har tatt alt det som vår far eide, og av det som vår far eide, har han lagt sig til all denne rikdom.
And he heard [the] words of [the] sons of Laban saying he has taken Jacob all that [belonged] to father our and from [that] which [belonged] to father our he has acquired all the abundance this.
2 Og Jakob så på Labans ansikt at han ikke var den samme mot ham som før.
And he saw Jacob [the] face of Laban and there! not [was] he with him as yesterday three days ago.
3 Og Herren sa til Jakob: Vend tilbake til dine fedres land og ditt eget folk, og jeg vil være med dig.
And he said Yahweh to Jacob return to [the] land of fathers your and to kindred your so I may be with you.
4 Da sendte Jakob bud efter Rakel og Lea og bad dem komme ut på marken, hvor han var med sin buskap.
And he sent Jacob and he summoned Rachel and Leah the field to flock his.
5 Og han sa til dem: Jeg ser på eders fars ansikt at han ikke er den samme mot mig som før; men min fars Gud har vært med mig.
And he said to them [am] seeing I [the] face of father your that not [is] he to me as yesterday three days ago and [the] God of father my he has been with me.
6 Og I vet selv at jeg av all min evne har tjent eders far.
And you you know that with all strength my I have served father your.
7 Men eders far har sveket mig og forandret min lønn ti ganger; men Gud lot ham ikke få gjøre mig noget ondt.
And father your he has deceived me and he has changed wage[s] my ten times and not he has permitted him God to do harm with me.
8 Når han sa: Det flekkete skal være din lønn, da fikk alt småfeet flekkete unger, og når han sa: Det stripete skal være din lønn, da fikk alt småfeet stripete unger.
If thus he said speckled [ones] it will be wage[s] your and they bore all the flock speckled [ones] and if thus he said striped [ones] it will be wage[s] your and they bore all the flock striped [ones].
9 Således tok Gud eders fars fe fra ham og gav mig det.
And he has taken away God [the] livestock of father your and he has given [it] to me.
10 Og ved den tid småfeet parret sig, så jeg frem for mig i drømme og fikk se at bukkene som parret sig med småfeet, var stripete, flekkete og prikkete.
And it was at [the] time mated the flock and I lifted up eyes my and I saw in a dream and there! the male goats which were going up on the flock [were] striped speckled and mottled.
11 Og Guds engel sa til mig i drømmen: Jakob! Og jeg sa: Ja, her er jeg.
And he said to me [the] angel of God in a dream O Jacob and I said here [am] I.
12 Da sa han: Se nu frem for dig, så skal du få se at alle bukkene som parrer sig med småfeet, er stripete, flekkete og prikkete; for jeg har sett alt det Laban gjør mot dig.
And he said lift up please eyes your and see all the male goats which are going up on the flock [are] striped speckled and mottled for I have seen all that Laban [is] doing to you.
13 Jeg er den Gud som du så i Betel, der hvor du salvet en minnesten, og hvor du gjorde mig et løfte; gjør dig nu rede og dra bort fra dette land, og vend tilbake til ditt fødeland.
I [am] the God of Beth-el where you anointed there a pillar where you vowed to me there a vow now arise go out from the land this and return to [the] land of kindred your.
14 Da svarte Rakel og Lea og sa til ham: Har vi vel ennu nogen lodd og arv i vår fars hus?
And she answered Rachel and Leah and they said to him ¿ still [belong] to us [does] a share and an inheritance in [the] household of father our.
15 Har han ikke aktet oss som fremmede? Han har jo solgt oss og selv fortært det han fikk for oss.
¿ Not foreigners are we accounted by him for he has sold us and he has consumed also continuously money our.
16 All den rikdom Gud har tatt fra vår far, den hører oss og våre barn til; gjør nu bare du alt det Gud har sagt til dig!
For all the wealth which he has taken away God from father our [belongs] to us it and to children our and therefore all that he has said God to you do.
17 Så gjorde Jakob sig ferdig og satte sine barn og hustruer på kamelene,
And he arose Jacob and he lifted up children his and wives his on camels.
18 og han tok med sig hele sin buskap og alt det gods som han hadde samlet sig, det fe han eide, og som han hadde lagt sig til i Mesopotamia, og vilde dra til Isak, sin far, i Kana'ans land.
And he drove all livestock his and all possession[s] his which he had accumulated [the] livestock of acquisition his which he had accumulated in Paddan Aram to go to Isaac father his [the] land of towards Canaan.
19 Men Laban hadde draget bort for å klippe sine får; da stjal Rakel sin fars husguder.
And Laban he had gone to shear sheep his and she stole Rachel the teraphim which [belonged] to father her.
20 Og Jakob stjal sig bort fra arameeren Laban; han sa ikke noget til ham om at han vilde flykte.
And he stole Jacob [the] heart of Laban the Aramean on not he told to him that [was] fleeing he.
21 Så flyktet han med alt det han hadde; han gjorde sig ferdig og satte over elven og tok veien til Gileadfjellet.
And he fled he and all that [belonged] to him and he arose and he passed over the river and he set face his [the] hill country of Gilead.
22 Den tredje dag efter fikk Laban vite at Jakob var flyktet.
And it was told to Laban on the day third that he had fled Jacob.
23 Da tok han med sig sine frender og satte efter ham syv dagsreiser, og nådde ham igjen på Gilead-fjellet.
And he took relatives his with him and he pursued after him a journey of seven days and he overtook him in [the] hill country of Gilead.
24 Men Gud kom til arameeren Laban i en drøm om natten og sa til ham: Vokt dig og si ikke noget til Jakob, hverken godt eller ondt!
And he came God to Laban the Aramean in [the] dream of the night and he said to him take heed to yourself lest you should speak with Jacob from good unto bad.
25 Da Laban nådde Jakob igjen, hadde Jakob slått op sitt telt på fjellet, og Laban med sine frender slo også op sitt telt på Gilead-fjellet.
And he overtook Laban Jacob and Jacob he had pitched tent his in the hill country and Laban he pitched tent with relatives his in [the] hill country of Gilead.
26 Da sa Laban til Jakob: Hvad er det du har gjort? Du har stjålet dig bort fra mig og ført mine døtre avsted som om de var tatt i krig.
And he said Laban to Jacob what? have you done and you have stolen heart my and you have led away daughters my like captives of [the] sword.
27 Hvorfor flyktet du hemmelig og stjal dig bort fra mig og sa ikke noget om det til mig, så jeg kunde ha fulgt dig på veien med gledesrop og sanger, med trommer og harper?
Why? did you hide yourself to flee and did you steal? me and not did you tell? to me and I sent away you with gladness and with songs with tambourine and with harp.
28 Du lot mig ikke engang få kysse mine sønner og døtre; det var uforstandig gjort av dig.
And not did you allow? me to kiss sons my and daughters my now you have behaved foolishly to do.
29 Jeg har det i min makt å gjøre ondt mot eder; men eders fars Gud sa til mig inatt: Vokt dig og si ikke noget til Jakob, hverken godt eller ondt!
There [is] to [the] power of hand my to do with you harm and [the] God of father your last night - he said to me saying take heed to yourself from speaking with Jacob from good unto bad.
30 Men når du nu har draget bort, fordi du lengtes så såre efter din fars hus, hvorfor stjal du da mine guder?
And now certainly you have gone for certainly you longed for [the] household of father your why? did you steal gods my.
31 Da svarte Jakob og sa til Laban: Jeg var redd; jeg tenkte at du kunde ta dine døtre fra mig med makt.
And he answered Jacob and he said to Laban that I was afraid for I said lest you should tear away daughters your from with me.
32 Men den som du finner dine guder hos, han skal ikke leve. Se nu efter i våre frenders nærvær, om du kjennes ved noget av det jeg har med mig, og ta det så! Men Jakob visste ikke at Rakel hadde stjålet dem.
With [anyone] whom you will find gods your not he will live before relatives our investigate for yourself what? [is] with me and take [it] for yourself and not he knew Jacob that Rachel she had stolen them.
33 Da gikk Laban inn i Jakobs telt og i Leas telt og i begge trælkvinnenes telt, men fant ikke noget. Så gikk han ut av Leas telt og inn i Rakels telt.
And he went Laban in [the] tent of Jacob - and in [the] tent of Leah and in [the] tent of [the] two the maidservants and not he found [them] and he came out from [the] tent of Leah and he went in [the] tent of Rachel.
34 Men Rakel hadde tatt husgudene og lagt dem i kamelsalen og satt sig på dem; og Laban gjennemsøkte hele teltet, men fant ikke noget.
And Rachel she had taken the teraphim and she had put them in [the] saddlebag of the camel and she sat on them and he searched Laban all the tent and not he found [them].
35 Og hun sa til sin far: Min herre må ikke bli vred fordi jeg ikke kan reise mig for dig; for det går mig på kvinners vis. Så lette han efter husgudene, men fant dem ikke.
And she said to father her may not it burn in [the] eyes of lord my that not I am able to rise from before you for [the] way of women [belongs] to me and he searched and not he found the teraphim.
36 Da blev Jakob vred og gikk i rette med Laban. Og Jakob tok til orde og sa til Laban: Hvad er min brøde, hvad er min synd, siden du forfølger mig så?
And it burned to Jacob and he quarreled with Laban and he answered Jacob and he said to Laban what? [is] transgression my what? [is] sin my that you have hotly pursued after me.
37 Du har nu gjennemsøkt alt det jeg har; hvad fant du da som hører ditt hus til? Legg det frem her for mine og dine frender, så de kan dømme mellem oss to!
That you have searched all things my what? did you find of all [the] things of household your put [it] thus before relatives my and relatives your so they may decide between [the] two of us.
38 Nu har jeg vært hos dig i tyve år; dine får og dine gjeter har ikke født i utide, og værene av ditt småfe har jeg ikke ett op;
This twenty year[s] I [have been] with you ewes your and female goats your not they have miscarried and [the] rams of flock your not I have eaten.
39 det som var sønderrevet, kom jeg ikke hjem til dig med; jeg godtgjorde selv skaden; av mig krevde du det, enten det var stjålet om dagen, eller det var stjålet om natten.
A torn animal not I brought to you I I bore [the] loss of it from hand my you sought it [one] stolen of day and [one] stolen of night.
40 Slik hadde jeg det: Om dagen fortærtes jeg av hete og av kulde om natten, og søvnen flydde fra mine øine.
I was in the day it consumed me heat and frost in the night and it fled sleep my from eyes my.
41 I tyve år har jeg nu vært i ditt hus, jeg har tjent dig fjorten år for dine to døtre og seks år for ditt småfe; men du forandret min lønn ti ganger.
This [belonged] to me twenty year[s] in household your I served you four-teen year[s] for [the] two daughters your and six years for flock[s] your and you changed wage[s] my ten times.
42 Hadde ikke min fars Gud vært med mig, han som var Abrahams Gud, og som også Isak frykter, sannelig, du hadde nu latt mig fare med tomme hender. Men Gud har sett min møie og alt mitt strev, og han har dømt inatt.
If not [the] God of father my [the] God of Abraham and [the] fear of Isaac he had been to me for now empty you sent away me affliction my and ([the] toil of *LB(ah)*) hands my he has seen God and he decided last night.
43 Da svarte Laban og sa til Jakob: Døtrene er mine døtre, og barna er mine barn, og buskapen er min buskap, og alt det du ser, er mitt; hvad skulde jeg da nu kunne gjøre mot disse mine døtre eller mot deres barn, som de har født?
And he answered Laban and he said to Jacob the daughters [are] daughters my and the children [are] children my and the flock [is] flock my and all that you [are] seeing [belongs] to me it and for daughters my what? will I do for these this day or for children their whom they have borne.
44 Så kom nu og la oss gjøre en pakt, jeg og du, og den skal være et vidne mellem mig og dig.
And therefore come! let us make a covenant I and you and it will become a witness between me and between you.
45 Da tok Jakob en sten og reiste den op som en minnesten.
And he took Jacob a stone and he raised up it a pillar.
46 Og Jakob sa til sine frender: Sank sammen stener! Og de tok stener og laget en røs; og de holdt måltid der ved stenrøsen.
And he said Jacob to relatives his gather stones and they took stones and they made a heap and they ate there at the heap.
47 Og Laban kalte den Jegar-Sahaduta, men Jakob kalte den Gal-Ed.
And he called it Laban Jegar Sahadutha and Jacob he called it Galeed.
48 Da sa Laban: Denne røs skal være et vidne mellem mig og dig idag. Derfor kalte de den Gal-Ed,
And he said Laban the heap this [is] a witness between me and between you this day there-fore (he called *LA(bh)*) name its Galeed.
49 og tillike Mispa, fordi han sa: Herren holde vakt mellem mig og dig, når vi kommer hverandre av syne;
And Mizpah that he said may he keep watch Yahweh between me and between you for we will be hidden each from neighbor his.
50 dersom du farer ille med mine døtre eller tar dig andre hustruer foruten mine døtre, da er det vel intet menneske hos oss, men se, Gud er vidne mellem mig og dig.
If you will mistreat daughters my and if you will take wives to daughters my there not [is] anyone with us see God [is] a witness between me and between you.
51 Så sa Laban til Jakob: Se, denne røs og denne minnesten som jeg har reist mellem mig og dig -
And he said Laban to Jacob here! - the heap this and here! the pillar which I have set up between me and between you.
52 vidner skal de være, både røsen og minnestenen, at ikke skal jeg dra til dig forbi denne røs, og at heller ikke skal du dra til mig forbi denne røs og denne minnesten med ondt i sinne.
[is] a witness The heap this and [is] a witness the pillar if I not I will pass beyond to you the heap this and if you not you will pass beyond to me the heap this and the pillar this for harm.
53 Abrahams Gud og Nakors Gud skal dømme mellem oss, han som var deres fars Gud. Så svor Jakob ved ham som hans far Isak fryktet.
[the] God of Abraham and [the] God of Nahor may they judge between us [the] God of father their and he swore Jacob by [the] fear of father his Isaac.
54 Og Jakob ofret et slaktoffer på fjellet og innbød sine frender til måltid. Og de holdt måltid og blev natten over på fjellet.
And he sacrificed Jacob a sacrifice in the hill country and he invited relatives his to eat food and they ate food and they stayed [the] night in the hill country.
55 Morgenen efter stod Laban tidlig op, og han kysset sine sønner og sine døtre og velsignet dem. Så drog Laban hjem igjen.
And he rose early Laban in the morning and he kissed sons his and daughters his and he blessed them and he went and he returned Laban to own place his.
