1 Mosebok 27
1 Da Isak var blitt gammel, og hans øine var blitt sløve, så han ikke kunde se, kalte han til sig Esau, sin eldste sønn, og sa til ham: Min sønn! Han svarte: Ja, her er jeg.
And it was for he was old Isaac and they were [too] dim eyes his for seeing and he summoned Esau - son his old and he said to him O son my and he said to him here [am] I.
2 Da sa han: Jeg er blitt gammel og vet ikke hvad dag jeg skal dø.
And he said here! please I am old not I know [the] day of death my.
3 Så ta nu dine jaktredskaper, ditt kogger og din bue, og gå ut på marken og skyt mig noget vilt,
And therefore take up please weapons your quiver your and bow your and go out the field and hunt! for me (wild game. *Q(K)*)
4 og lag en velsmakende rett for mig, slik som jeg liker det, og kom så hit med den! Da vil jeg ete, så min sjel kan velsigne dig, før jeg dør.
And prepare for me savory food just as I love and bring [it]! to me so let me eat [it] in order that it may bless you self my before I will die.
5 Men Rebekka hørte på at Isak talte til Esau, sin sønn. Så gikk Esau ut på marken for å skyte noget vilt og ha det med sig hjem.
And Rebekah [was] listening when spoke Isaac to Esau son his and he went Esau [to] the field to hunt wild game to bring [it].
6 Da sa Rebekka til Jakob, sin sønn: Jeg hørte din far tale til Esau, din bror, og si:
And Rebekah she said to Jacob son her saying here! I have heard father your speaking to Esau brother your saying.
7 Hent mig noget vilt og lag en velsmakende rett for mig, så jeg kan ete av den og velsigne dig for Herrens åsyn, før jeg dør.
Bring! to me wild game and prepare for me savory food so let me eat [it] so I may bless you before Yahweh before death my.
8 Lyd nu mitt ord, min sønn, og gjør det jeg byder dig:
And therefore O son my listen to voice my to [that] which I [am] commanding you.
9 Gå bort til hjorden og hent mig derfra to gode kje, så skal jeg lage en velsmakende rett av dem for din far, slik som han liker det.
Go please to the flock and fetch for me from there two kids of goats good so I may prepare them savory food for father your just as he loves.
10 Og du skal gå inn med den til din far, så han kan ete av den og velsigne dig, før han dør.
And you will bring [it] to father your and he will eat [it] in order that this he may bless you before death his.
11 Da sa Jakob til Rebekka, sin mor: Esau, min bror, er jo lodden, og jeg er glatt.
And he said Jacob to Rebekah mother his here! Esau brother my [is] a man hairy and I [am] a man smooth.
12 Kanskje min far kjenner på mig og så tror at jeg vil ha ham til narr, og jeg kommer til å føre en forbannelse over mig og ikke en velsignelse.
Perhaps he will feel me father my and I will be in view his like a mocker and I will bring on myself a curse and not a blessing.
13 Da sa hans mor til ham: Den forbannelse skal jeg ta på mig min sønn! Bare lyd mitt råd og gå og hent mig kjeene!
And she said to him mother his [be] on me curse your O son my only listen to voice my and go fetch [them] for me.
14 Da gikk han og hentet dem og kom til sin mor med dem, og hans mor laget en velsmakende rett, slik som hans far likte det.
And he went and he fetched [them] and he brought [them] to mother his and she prepared mother his savory food just as he loved father his.
15 Så tok Rebekka sin eldste sønn Esaus høitidsklær, som hun hadde hos sig i huset, og hun lot Jakob, sin yngste sønn, ta dem på.
And she took Rebekah [the] clothes of Esau son her old the desirableness which [were] with her in the house and she clothed Jacob son her young.
16 Men skinnene av kjeene hadde hun om hans hender og om den glatte del av hans hals.
And [the] skins of [the] kids of the goats she clothed on hands his and on [the] smooth part of neck his.
17 Så lot hun sin sønn Jakob få den velsmakende rett og brødet som hun hadde laget,
And she put the savory food and the bread which she had prepared in [the] hand of Jacob son her.
18 og han gikk inn til sin far og sa: Far! Han svarte: Ja, her er jeg; hvem er du, min sønn?
And he went to father his and he said O father my and he said here [am] I who? [are] you O son my.
19 Da sa Jakob til sin far: Jeg er Esau, din førstefødte; jeg har gjort som du sa til mig. Sett dig nu op og et av mitt vilt, så din sjel kan velsigne mig!
And he said Jacob to father his I [am] Esau firstborn your I have done just as you said to me arise please sit! and eat! some of wild game my in order that may bless me self your.
20 Men Isak sa til sin sønn: Hvorledes har du da så snart kunnet finne noget, min sønn? Han, svarte: Herren din Gud sendte mig det i møte.
And he said Isaac to son his what? this have you hastened to find [it] O son my and he said for he made happen Yahweh God your before me.
21 Da sa Isak til Jakob: Kom hit og la mig få kjenne på dig, min sønn, om du er min sønn Esau, eller ikke.
And he said Isaac to Jacob draw near! please so I may feel you O son my ¿ [are] you this son my Esau or? not.
22 Så gikk Jakob frem til Isak, sin far; og han kjente på ham og sa: Røsten er Jakobs, men hendene er Esaus.
And he drew near Jacob to Isaac father his and he felt him and he said the voice [is] [the] voice of Jacob and the hands [are] [the] hands of Esau.
23 Og han kjente ham ikke, fordi hans hender var lodne som hans bror Esaus hender; og han velsignet ham.
And not he recognized him for they were hands his like [the] hands of Esau brother his hairy and he blessed him.
24 Og han sa: Er du virkelig min sønn Esau? Han svarte: Ja, det er jeg.
And he said [are] you? this son my Esau and he said I.
25 Da sa han: Kom hit med det til mig og la mig få ete av min sønns vilt, så min sjel kan velsigne dig. Så satte han det frem for ham, og han åt, og han kom med vin til ham, og han drakk.
And he said bring [it] near! to me so let me eat some of [the] wild game of son my so that it may bless you self my and he brought [it] near to him and he ate and he brought to him wine and he drank.
26 Så sa Isak, hans far, til ham: Kom nu hit og kyss mig, min sønn!
And he said to him Isaac father his draw near! please and kiss! me O son my.
27 Da gikk han frem og kysset ham; og han kjente lukten av hans klær og velsignet ham og sa: Se, duften av min sønn er som duften av en mark som Herren har velsignet.
And he drew near and he kissed him and he smelled [the] smell of clothes his and he blessed him and he said see [the] smell of son my [is] like [the] smell of a field which he has blessed it Yahweh.
28 Så gi Gud dig av himmelens dugg og av jordens fedme og korn og most i overflod.
And may he give to you God some of [the] dew of the heavens and some of [the] fatness of the earth and abundance of grain and new wine.
29 Folk skal tjene dig, og folkeslag skal falle dig til fote; vær herre over dine brødre, og måtte din mors sønner falle dig til fote! Forbannet være den som forbanner dig, og velsignet den som velsigner dig!
May they serve you peoples (and may they bow down *Q(K)*) to you peoples be lord to brothers your so may they bow down to you [the] sons of mother your [those who] curse you [be] cursed and [those who] bless you [be] blessed.
30 Men da Isak hadde endt sin velsignelse over Jakob, og Jakob nettop var gått ut fra Isak, sin far, da kom Esau, hans bror, hjem fra jakten.
And it was just as he had finished Isaac to bless Jacob and it was surely certainly he had gone out Jacob from with [the] face of Isaac father his and Esau brother his he came from hunting his.
31 Han laget også en velsmakende rett og bar den inn til sin far; og han sa til sin far: Vil ikke far reise sig op og ete av sin sønns vilt, så din sjel kan velsigne mig!
And he prepared also he savory food and he brought [it] to father his and he said to father his let him arise father my and let him eat some of [the] wild game of son his in order that may bless me self your.
32 Og Isak, hans far, spurte ham: Hvem er du? Han svarte: Jeg er Esau, din førstefødte sønn.
And he said to him Isaac father his who? [are] you and he said I [am] son your firstborn your Esau.
33 Da blev Isak overmåte forferdet, og han sa: Hvem var det da som hadde skutt noget vilt og kom til mig med det? Jeg åt av alt, før du kom, og velsignet ham! Han skal også være velsignet.
And he trembled Isaac trembling great up to muchness and he said who? then [is] he who hunted wild game and he brought [it] to me and I ate some of everything before you came and I blessed him also blessed he will be.
34 Da Esau hørte disse ord av sin far, satte han i et høit og sårt skrik, og han sa til sin far: Velsign også mig, min far!
When heard Esau [the] words of father his and he cried a cry great and bitter up to muchness and he said to father his bless me also me O father my.
35 Men han sa: Din bror kom med list og tok din velsignelse.
And he said he came brother your with deceit and he took blessing your.
36 Da sa han: Er det fordi han har fått navnet Jakob, at han nu to ganger har overlistet mig? Min førstefødselsrett tok han, og se, nu har han tatt min velsignelse. Så sa han: Har du ikke en velsignelse igjen til mig og?
And he said ¿ for did someone call name his Jacob and he has supplanted me this two times birthright my he took and here! now he has taken blessing my and he said ¿ not have you reserved for me a blessing.
37 Isak svarte og sa til Esau: Se, jeg har satt ham til herre over dig, og alle hans brødre har jeg gjort til hans tjenere, og jeg har gitt ham korn og most i overflod; hvad skal jeg da gjøre for dig, min sønn?
And he answered Isaac and he said to Esau here! lord I have appointed him to you and all brothers his I have given to him to servants and grain and new wine I have sustained him and for you then what? will I do O son my.
38 Og Esau sa til sin far: Har du da bare denne ene velsignelse, min far? Velsign også mig, min far! Og Esau gråt høit.
And he said Esau to father his ¿ [does] a blessing one it [belong] to you O father my bless me also me O father my and he lifted up Esau voice his and he wept.
39 Da tok Isak, hans far, til orde igjen og sa til ham: Se, uten jordens fedme skal din bolig være og uten himmelens dugg fra oven.
And he answered Isaac father his and he said to him there! away from [the] fatness of the earth it will be dwelling your and away from [the] dew of the heavens above.
40 Av ditt sverd skal du leve, og din bror skal du tjene; men når du engang river dig løs, da skal du bryte hans åk av din nakke.
And on sword your you will live and brother your you will serve and it will be just as you will be restless and you will tear off yoke his from on neck your.
41 Og Esau hatet Jakob for den velsignelse som hans far hadde lyst over ham. Og Esau sa ved sig selv: Snart kommer den tid da vi må sørge over min far; da skal jeg slå Jakob, min bror, ihjel.
And he bore a grudge against Esau Jacob on the blessing which he had blessed him father his and he said Esau in heart his they will draw near [the] days of [the] mourning of father my and I will kill Jacob brother my.
42 Og Rebekka fikk vite hvad Esau, hennes eldste sønn, hadde sagt; da sendte hun bud efter Jakob, sin yngste sønn, og sa til ham: Se, Esau, din bror, vil hevne sig på dig og slå dig ihjel.
And it was told to Rebekah [the] words of Esau son her old and she sent and she summoned Jacob son her young and she said to him here! Esau brother your [is] comforting himself to you by killing you.
43 Lyd nu mitt ord, min sønn: Gjør dig ferdig og flykt til min bror Laban i Karan,
And therefore O son my listen to voice my and arise flee for yourself to Laban brother my Haran towards.
44 og bli hos ham en tid, til din brors vrede har lagt sig,
And you will remain with him days one until that it will turn back [the] anger of brother your.
45 til din brors vrede har vendt sig fra dig, og han har glemt det du har gjort mot ham! Da skal jeg sende bud og hente dig derfra. Hvorfor skulde jeg miste eder begge på én dag!
Until turns back [the] anger of brother your from you and he will forget [that] which you did to him and I will send and I will fetch you from there why? will I be bereaved also both of you a day one.
46 Så sa Rebekka til Isak: Jeg er kjed av mitt liv for disse Hets døtres skyld; skulde nu også Jakob ta sig en hustru av Hets døtre, slik en som disse, en av landets døtre, hvad skulde jeg da leve efter?
And she said Rebekah to Isaac I loathe life my because of [the] daughters of Heth if [is] taking Jacob a wife from [the] daughters of Heth like these from [the] daughters of the land why? [belongs] to me life.
