< 2 Mosebok 21 >

1 Dette er de lover som du skal legge frem for dem:
And these [are] the judgments which you will set before them.
2 Når du kjøper en hebraisk træl, skal han tjene i seks år; men i det syvende skal han gis fri uten vederlag.
For you will buy a slave Hebrew six years he will serve and in the seventh [year] he will go out to free [person] without paying.
3 Dersom han kommer enslig, da skal han gå enslig bort; dersom han er gift mann, da skal hans hustru gå bort med ham.
If with body his he will come with body his he will go out if [is the] husband of a wife he and she will go out wife his with him.
4 Dersom hans herre gir ham en hustru, og hun føder ham sønner eller døtre, da skal hustruen og barna høre hennes herre til, og han skal gå enslig bort.
If master his he will give to him a wife and she will bear to him sons or daughters the woman and children her she will belong to master her and he he will go out with body his.
5 Men dersom trælen sier: Jeg holder av min herre, min hustru og mine barn, jeg vil ikke være fri og gå bort,
And if carefully he will say the slave I love master my wife my and children my not I will go out a free [person].
6 da skal hans herre føre ham frem for Gud og stille ham ved døren eller ved dørstolpen, og hans herre skal stikke en syl gjennem hans øre, og han skal tjene ham all sin tid.
And he will bring near him master his to God and he will bring near him to the door or to the doorpost and he will pierce master his ear his with the awl and he will serve him for ever.
7 Når nogen selger sin datter til trælkvinne, da skal hun ikke gis fri som trælene.
And if he will sell a man daughter his to a female slave not she will go out when go out the [male] slaves.
8 Dersom hun mishager sin herre, som hadde utsett henne for sig selv, da skal han la henne få kjøpe sig fri; til et fremmed folk skal han ikke ha rett til å selge henne, siden han har vært troløs mot henne.
If she is bad in [the] eyes of master her who (for himself *Q(K)*) he designated her and he will let be ransomed her to a people foreign not he will have dominion to sell her because has dealt treacherously he with her.
9 Men dersom han utser henne for sin sønn, da skal han unne henne døtres rett.
And if for son his he will designate her according to [the] custom of daughters he will do to her.
10 Dersom han lar ham få en annen foruten henne, da skal han ikke avkorte noget i hennes kost, klær eller ekteskapsrett.
If another [woman] he will take for himself food her covering her and right to intercourse her not he will reduce.
11 Men dersom han ikke lar henne få disse tre ting, da skal hun gis fri for intet, uten vederlag.
And if three [things] these not he will do for her and she will go out without paying not money.
12 Den som slår et menneske så det dør, han skal visselig late livet.
[one who] will strike anyone And he will die certainly he will be put to death.
13 Men hvis han ikke har stått ham efter livet, men det er Gud som har latt ham komme ut for hans hånd, da vil jeg sette dig et fristed som han kan ty til.
And that not he was lying in wait and God he allowed to happen to hand his and I will designate for you a place where he will flee there.
14 Men om nogen bærer sig så formastelig at, at han dreper sin næste med svik, da skal du ta ham om det så var fra mitt alter: han skal dø.
And if he will act presumptuously anyone on neighbor his to kill him with cunning from with altar my you will take him to die.
15 Den som slår sin far eller sin mor, skal visselig late livet.
And [one who] will strike father his and mother his certainly he will be put to death.
16 Den som stjeler et menneske og selger ham eller holder ham fanget, skal visselig late livet.
And [one who] will steal anyone and he will sell him and he will be found in hand his certainly he will be put to death.
17 Den som banner sin far eller sin mor, skal visselig late livet.
And [one who] will curse father his and mother his certainly he will be put to death.
18 Når menn kommer i trette, og den ene slår den andre med en sten eller med neven, og han ikke dør, men blir sengeliggende -
And if they will quarrel! men and he will strike anyone neighbor his with a stone or with a fist and not he will die and he will fall to a bed.
19 dersom han da kommer op igjen og går ute med stav, da skal den som slo, være fri for straff; men han skal gi ham vederlag for den tid han har tapt, og koste full lægedom på ham.
If he will arise and he will walk about on the outside on staff his and he will be free from guilt the [one who] struck only sitting still his he will pay for and certainly he will have [him] healed.
20 Når nogen slår sin træl eller trælkvinne med en stokk så de dør under hans hånd, da skal han straffes for det.
And if he will strike anyone [male] slave his or female slave his with the rod and he will die under hand his certainly he will be avenged.
21 Men dersom de blir i live én eller to dager, skal han ikke straffes; de er jo hans eiendom.
Nevertheless if a day or two days he will remain not he will be avenged for [is] money his he.
22 Når menn kommer i slagsmål med hverandre og støter til en fruktsommelig kvinne, så hun føder i utide, men ellers ingen ulykke skjer, så skal den som gjorde det, gi den bot som kvinnens mann pålegger ham; han skal gi efter dommeres skjønn.
And if they will struggle together men and they will strike a woman pregnant and they will come out children her and not it will be harm certainly he will be fined just as he will impose on him [the] husband of the woman and he will give for [the] estimate.
23 Men dersom det skjer en ulykke, da skal du gi liv for liv,
And if harm it will be and you will give a life in place of a life.
24 øie for øie, tann for tann, hånd for hånd, fot for fot,
An eye in place of an eye a tooth in place of a tooth a hand in place of a hand a foot in place of a foot.
25 brent for brent, sår for sår, skramme for skramme.
Burning in place of burning bruise in place of bruise wound in place of wound.
26 Når nogen slår sin træl eller trælkvinne i øiet og forderver det, da skal han gi dem fri til vederlag for øiet.

27 Og dersom han slår ut en tann på sin træl eller trælkvinne, da skal han gi dem fri til vederlag for tannen.
And if [the] tooth of [male] slave his or [the] tooth of female slave his he will knock out to free [person] he will set free him in place of tooth his.
28 Om en okse stanger mann eller kvinne så de dør, da skal oksen stenes, og dens kjøtt skal ikke etes; men oksens eier skal være fri for straff.
And if it will gore an ox a man or a woman and he will die certainly it will be stoned to death the ox and not it will be eaten meat its and [the] owner of the ox [will be] free from guilt.
29 Men dersom det er en okse som før har pleid å stange, og dens eier er advart, men ikke passer på den, og den dreper mann eller kvinne, da skal oksen stenes, og dens eier skal også lide døden.
And if [will be] an ox prone to gore it from yesterday three days ago and it has been protested on owner its and not he will guard it and it will kill a man or a woman the ox it will be stoned to death and also owner its he will be put to death.
30 Men dersom bøter pålegges ham, da skal han gi så meget i løsepenger for sitt liv som det blir ham pålagt.
If a ransom it will be imposed on him and he will give [the] ransom of life his according to all that it will be imposed on him.
31 Er det en gutt eller pike den stanger, skal det gjøres med ham efter denne lov.
Or a son it will gore or a daughter it will gore according to the judgment this it will be done to him.
32 Dersom oksen stanger en træl eller en trælkvinne, da skal eieren bøte tretti sekel sølv til deres herre; og oksen skal stenes.
If a [male] slave it will gore the ox or a female slave silver - thirty shekels he will give to master his and the ox it will be stoned to death.
33 Når nogen lar en brønn stå åpen eller graver en brønn og ikke dekker den til, og det faller en okse eller et asen i den,
And if he will open anyone a pit or for he will dig anyone a pit and not he will cover it and it will fall there an ox or a donkey.
34 da skal brønnens eier godtgjøre det; han skal gi dyrets eier penger i vederlag, men det døde dyr skal være hans.
[the] owner of The pit he will make compensation silver he will repay to owner its and the dead [animal] it will be[long] to him.
35 Når en manns okse stanger en annen manns okse ihjel, da skal de selge den levende okse og dele pengene for den, og det døde dyr skal de også dele.
And if it will strike [the] ox of anyone [the] ox of neighbor his and it will die and they will sell the ox living and they will divide silver its and also the dead [animal] they will divide!
36 Men er det vitterlig at det er en okse som før har pleid å stange, og dens eier ikke passer på den, da skal han gi en annen okse isteden, men det døde dyr skal være hans.
