Predikerens 11
1 Send ditt brød bort over vannet; for i tidens løp skal du finne det igjen.
Send bread your on [the] surface of the waters for in [the] abundance of days you will find it.
2 Del ut til syv, ja til åtte; for du vet ikke hvad ulykke som kan hende på jorden.
Give a portion to seven and also to eight for not you know what? will it be calamity on the earth.
3 Når skyene blir fulle av regn, tømmer de det ut over jorden, og når et tre faller, enten det er mot syd eller mot nord, så blir treet liggende på det sted hvor det falt.
If they will be filled the clouds rain on the earth they will pour [it] out and whether it falls a tree at the south and or at the north [the] place where it falls the tree there it will be.
4 Den som stadig akter på vinden, kommer ikke til å så, og den som stadig ser på skyene, kommer ikke til å høste.
[one who] watches for A wind not he will sow and [one who] looks on the clouds not he will reap.
5 Like så lite som du vet hvad vei vinden farer, eller hvorledes benene dannes i den fruktsommelige kvinnes liv, like så lite vet du hvad Gud vil gjøre, han som gjør det alt sammen.
Just as not you [are] knowing what? [is] [the] way of the wind like bones in [the] womb of the full [woman] thus not you know [the] work of God who he makes everything.
6 Så din sæd om morgenen, og la ikke din hånd hvile når det lider mot aftenen; for du vet ikke hvad som vil lykkes, det ene eller det andre, eller om begge deler er gode.
In the morning sow seed your and to the evening may not you give rest to hand your for not you [are] knowing where? this will it succeed ¿ this or? this and or? [will] both of them as one [be] good.
7 Lyset er liflig, og det er godt for øinene å få se solen.
And [is] sweet the light and [is] good for the eyes to see the sun.
8 For om et menneske lever mange år, skal han glede sig i dem alle og komme mørkets dager i hu; for de blir mange. Alt som skal komme, er tomhet.
That except years [surely] a multitude will live person in all of them let him be take pleasure and he may remember [the] days of darkness for [surely] many will be all that has come [is] futility.
9 Gled dig, du unge, i din ungdom og la ditt hjerte være vel til mote i din ungdoms dager og vandre på ditt hjertes veier og efter det dine øine ser! Men vit at for alt dette vil Gud føre dig frem for dommen.
Rejoice O young man in youth your and let it make good you heart your in [the] days of youth your and walk in [the] ways of heart your and in [the] sight of eyes your and know that on all these [things] he will bring you God in judgment.
10 La gremmelse vike fra ditt hjerte og hold alt ondt borte fra ditt legeme! For ungdom og morgenrøde er tomhet.
And remove vexation from heart your and put away evil from flesh your for youth and the black hair [are] futility.
