2 Kongebok 15

1 I Israels konge Jeroboams syv og tyvende år blev Asarja, sønn av Judas konge Amasja, konge.

In year twenty and seven year of Jeroboam [the] king of Israel he became king Azariah [the] son of Amaziah [the] king of Judah.

2 Han var seksten år gammel da han blev konge, og regjerte to og femti år i Jerusalem; hans mor hette Jekolja og var fra Jerusalem.

A son of six-teen year[s] he was when became king he and fifty and two year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Jecholiah from Jerusalem.

3 Han gjorde hvad rett var i Herrens øine, aldeles som hans far Amasja hadde gjort.

And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done Amaziah father his.

4 Dog blev offerhaugene ikke nedlagt; folket blev ved å ofre og brenne røkelse på haugene.

Only the high places not they were removed still the people [were] sacrificing and [were] making smoke at the high places.

5 Og Herren slo kongen, så han blev spedalsk til sin dødsdag, og han bodde i et hus for sig selv; og Jotam, kongens sønn, forestod kongens hus og dømte landets folk.

And he struck Yahweh the king and he was having a skin disease until [the] day of death his and he dwelt in [the] house of separateness and Jotham [the] son of the king [was] over the house judging [the] people of the land.

7 Og Asarja la sig til hvile hos sine fedre, og de begravde ham hos hans fedre i Davids stad, og hans sønn Jotam blev konge i hans sted.

And he lay down Azariah with ancestors his and people buried him with ancestors his in [the] city of David and he became king Jotham son his in place of him.

8 I Judas konge Asarjas åtte og trettiende år blev Sakarja, Jeroboams sønn, konge over Israel i Samaria, og han regjerte i seks måneder.

In year thirty and eight year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Zechariah [the] son of Jeroboam over Israel in Samaria six months.

9 Han gjorde hvad ondt var i Herrens øine, likesom hans fedre hadde gjort; han vek ikke fra Jeroboams, Nebats sønns synder, som han hadde fått Israel til å gjøre.

And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh just as they had done ancestors his not he turned aside from [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel.

10 Og Sallum, sønn av Jabes, fikk i stand en sammensvergelse mot ham og slo ham ihjel i folkets påsyn og blev konge i hans sted.

And he conspired on him Shallum [the] son of Jabesh and he struck down him (before *LAB(h)*) [the] people and he killed him and he became king in place of him.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Zechariah there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.

12 Således gikk det ord i opfyllelse som Herren hadde talt til Jehu; han hadde sagt: Dine sønner skal sitte på Israels trone til fjerde ledd. Og så blev det.

It [was] [the] word of Yahweh which he had spoken to Jehu saying descendants of a fourth [generation] they will sit of you on [the] throne of Israel and it was thus.

13 Sallum, sønn av Jabes, blev konge i Judas konge Ussias' ni og trettiende år og regjerte en måneds tid i Samaria.

Shallum [the] son of Jabesh he became king in year thirty and nine year of Uzziah [the] king of Judah and he reigned a month of days in Samaria.

14 Da drog Menahem, Gadis sønn, op fra Tirsa og kom til Samaria og slo Sallum, Jabes' sønn, ihjel i Samaria og blev konge i hans sted.

And he went up Menahem [the] son of Gadi from Tirzah and he came Samaria and he struck down Shallum [the] son of Jabesh in Samaria and he killed him and he became king in place of him.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Shallum and conspiracy his which he conspired there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.

16 På den tid drog Menahem ut fra Tirsa og herjet Tifsah med alt der var, og hele det tilhørende land. Det var fordi byen ikke hadde åpnet portene for ham, han herjet den; alle dets fruktsommelige kvinner lot han opskjære.

Then he struck Menahem Tiphsah and all [those] who [were] in it and territories its from Tirzah for not it opened and he struck [it] all pregnant [women] its he ripped open.

17 I Judas konge Asarjas ni og trettiende år blev Menahem, Gadis sønn, konge over Israel i Samaria, og han regjerte i ti år.

In year thirty and nine year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Menahem [the] son of Gadi over Israel ten years in Samaria.

18 Han gjorde hvad ondt var i Herrens øine; han vek ikke, så lenge han levde, fra Jeroboams, Nebats sønns synder, som han hadde fått Israel til å gjøre.

And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from on [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel all days his.

19 Kongen i Assyria Ful falt inn i landet; da gav Menahem Ful tusen talenter sølv forat han skulde holde med ham og trygge kongedømmet i hans hånd.

He came Pul [the] king of Assyria on the land and he gave Menahem to Pul a thousand talent[s] of silver to be hands his with him to strengthen the kingdom in hand his.

20 Og Menahem fikk de penger han skulde gi til kongen i Assyria, inn ved å legge skatt på Israel, på alle rikmenn, femti sekel på hver. Så vendte kongen i Assyria tilbake og blev ikke lenger i landet.

And he brought out Menahem the silver on Israel on all [the] mighty [men] of wealth to give [it] to [the] king of Assyria fifty shekels silver to a man one and he returned [the] king of Assyria and not he remained there in the land.

22 Og Menahem la sig til hvile hos sine fedre, og hans sønn Pekahja blev konge i hans sted.

And he lay down Menahem with ancestors his and he became king Pekahiah son his in place of him.

23 I Judas konge Asarjas femtiende år blev Pekahja, Menahems sønn, konge over Israel i Samaria, og han regjerte i to år.

In year fifty year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Pekahiah [the] son of Menahem over Israel in Samaria two years.

24 Han gjorde hvad ondt var i Herrens øine; han vek ikke fra Jeroboams, Nebats sønns synder, som han hadde fått Israel til å gjøre.

And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel.

25 Og Pekah, sønn av hans høvedsmann Remalja, fikk i stand en sammensvergelse mot ham og slo ham ihjel i Samaria i borgen i kongens hus og tillike Argob og Arje; han hadde med sig femti mann av gileadittene; og da han hadde drept ham, blev han konge i hans sted.

And he conspired on him Pekah [the] son of Remaliah officer his and he struck down him in Samaria in [the] fortress of [the] house of (the king *Q(K)*) with Argob and with Arieh and [were] with him fifty man from [the] sons of [the] Gileadites and he killed him and he became king in place of him.

27 I Judas konge Asarjas to og femtiende år blev Pekah, Remaljas sønn, konge over Israel i Samaria, og han regjerte i tyve år.

In year fifty and two year of Azariah [the] king of Judah he became king Pekah [the] son of Remaliah over Israel in Samaria twenty year[s].

28 Han gjorde hvad ondt var i Herrens øine; han vek ikke fra Jeroboams, Nebats sønns synder, som han hadde fått Israel til å gjøre.

And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh not he turned aside from [the] sins of Jeroboam [the] son of Nebat which he caused to sin Israel.

29 I Israels konge Pekahs dager kom kongen i Assyria Tiglat-Pileser og tok Ijon og Abel-Bet-Ma'aka og Janoah og Kedes og Hasor og Gilead og Galilea, hele Naftalis land; og han bortførte innbyggerne til Assyria.

In [the] days of Pekah [the] king of Israel he came Tiglath-pileser [the] king of Assyria and he took Ijon and Abel Beth Maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee towards all [the] land of Naphtali and he took into exile them Assyria towards.

30 Og Hosea, Elas sønn, fikk i stand en sammensvergelse mot Pekah, Remaljas sønn, og slo ham ihjel og blev konge i hans sted i Jotams, Ussias' sønns tyvende år.

And he conspired a conspiracy Hoshea [the] son of Elah on Pekah [the] son of Remaliah and he struck down him and he killed him and he became king in place of him in year twenty of Jotham [the] son of Uzziah.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Pekah and all that he did there they [are] written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Israel.

32 I Israels konge Pekahs, Remaljas sønns annet år blev Jotam, sønn av Judas konge Ussias, konge.

In year two of Pekah [the] son of Remaliah [the] king of Israel he became king Jotham [the] son of Uzziah [the] king of Judah.

33 Han var fem og tyve år gammel da han blev konge, og regjerte seksten år i Jerusalem; hans mor hette Jerusa og var datter av Sadok.

A son of twenty and five year[s] he was when became king he and six-teen year[s] he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Jerusha [the] daughter of Zadok.

34 Han gjorde hvad rett var i Herrens øine; han gjorde aldeles som sin far Ussias.

And he did the right in [the] eyes of Yahweh according to all that he had done Uzziah father his he did.

35 Dog blev offerhaugene ikke nedlagt; folket blev ved å ofre og brenne røkelse på haugene. Det var han som bygget den øvre port i Herrens hus.

Only the high places not they were removed still the people [were] sacrificing and [were] making smoke at the high places he he built [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh upper.

And [the] rest of [the] matters of Jotham which he did ¿ not [are] they written on [the] scroll of [the] matters of the days of [the] kings of Judah.

37 I de dager begynte Herren å sende kongen i Syria Resin og Pekah, Remaljas sønn, mot Juda.

In the days those he began Yahweh to send in Judah Rezin [the] king of Aram and Pekah [the] son of Remaliah.

38 Og Jotam la sig til hvile hos sine fedre og blev begravet hos sine fedre i sin far Davids stad, og hans sønn Akas blev konge i hans sted.

And he lay down Jotham with ancestors his and he was buried with ancestors his in [the] city of David ancestor his and he became king Ahaz son his in place of him.
