1 Krønikebok 9
1 Alle Israels menn blev innført i ættelister og finnes opskrevet i Israels kongers bok; og Juda blev bortført i fangenskap til Babel for sin troløshets skyld.
And all Israel were registered by genealogy; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. And Judah was carried away to Babylon because of their transgression.
2 De tidligere innbyggere, som bodde på sin eiendom, i sine byer, var vanlige israelitter, prester, levitter og tempeltjenere.
And the inhabitants that were first in their possessions in their cities were the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.
3 I Jerusalem bodde nogen av Judas barn og av Benjamins barn og av Efra'ims og Manasses barn:
And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh:
4 Utai, sønn av Ammihud, sønn av Omri, sønn av Imri, sønn av Bani, av Judas sønn Peres' barn;
Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pherez the son of Judah.
5 og av silonittene: Asaja, den førstefødte, og hans sønner;
And of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.
6 og av Serahs sønner: Je'uel og deres brødre, seks hundre og nitti i tallet;
And of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel; and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
7 og av Benjamins barn: Sallu, sønn av Mesullam, sønn av Hodavja, sønn av Hassenua,
And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah,
8 og Jibneja, sønn av Jeroham, og Ela, sønn av Ussi, sønn av Mikri, og Mesullam, sønn av Sefatja, sønn av Re'uel, sønn av Jibnija,
and Jibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Jibnijah;
9 og deres brødre efter sine ætter, ni hundre og seks og femti i tallet; alle disse menn var overhoder for sine familier.
and their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six. All these men were chief fathers in their fathers' houses.
10 Og av prestene: Jedaja og Jojarib og Jakin
And of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,
11 og Asarja, sønn av Hilkias, sønn av Mesullam, sønn av Sadok, sønn av Merajot, sønn av Akitub - han var forstander for Guds hus -
and Azariah the son of Hilkijah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;
12 og Adaja, sønn av Jeroham, sønn av Pashur, sønn av Malkia, og Masai, sønn av Adiel, sønn av Jahsera, sønn av Mesullam, sønn av Mesillemit, sønn av Immer,
and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Masai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;
13 og deres brødre, overhoder for sine familier, tusen og syv hundre og seksti i tallet, dyktige menn i arbeidet ved tjenesten i Guds hus.
and their brethren, heads of their fathers' houses, a thousand and seven hundred and sixty; able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Og av levittene: Semaja, sønn av Hassub, sønn av Asrikam, sønn av Hasabja, av Meraris barn,
And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
15 og Bakbakkar, Heres og Galal og Mattanja, sønn av Mika, sønn av Sikri, sønn av Asaf,
and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal; and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;
16 og Obadja, sønn av Semaja, sønn av Galal, sønn av Jedutun, og Berekja, sønn av Asa, sønn av Elkana, som bodde i netofatittenes landsbyer.
and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Og portnerne: Sallum og Akkub og Talmon og Akiman og deres brødre; Sallum var deres overhode,
And the doorkeepers: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren; Shallum was the chief.
18 og like til nu står de ved Kongeporten, mot øst. Dette var portnerne i Levis barns leire.
And they have been hitherto in the king's gate eastward: they were the doorkeepers in the camps of the children of Levi.
19 Sallum, sønn av Kore, sønn av Ebjasaf, sønn av Korah, og hans brødre, de som var av hans familie, korahittene, hadde som sin tjenestegjerning å være voktere ved teltets dørtreskler, fordi deres fedre hadde vært voktere ved inngangen til Herrens leir.
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, and their fathers, set over the camp of Jehovah, were keepers of the entrance.
20 Og Pinehas, Eleasars sønn, hadde fordum vært deres forstander; Herren var med ham.
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them formerly; Jehovah was with him.
21 Sakarja, Meselemjas sønn, var portner ved inngangen til sammenkomstens telt.
Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was doorkeeper at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
22 Alle disse som var utvalgt til portnere ved dørtresklene, var to hundre og tolv i tallet; de var innført i ættelister efter sine landsbyer; David og seeren Samuel hadde innsatt dem som menn de hadde tillit til.
All these chosen to be doorkeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were registered by genealogy according to their villages: David and Samuel the seer had instituted them in their trust.
23 De og deres sønner stod ved portene til Herrens hus, telthuset, og holdt vakt.
And they and their sons were at the gates of the house of Jehovah, the house of the tent, to keep watch there.
24 Efter de fire verdenshjørner hadde portnerne sin plass: mot øst, vest, nord og syd.
At the four quarters were the doorkeepers, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25 Og deres brødre, som bodde i sine landsbyer, skulde fra tid til annen komme og hjelpe dem for syv dager ad gangen.
And their brethren, in their villages, were to come after [every] seven days from time to time with them.
26 For de fire forstandere for portnerne var betrodde menn; de var levitter; de hadde også opsyn over kammerne og over skattkammerne i Guds hus.
For in their trust these four were the chief doorkeepers: they were Levites; and they were over the chambers and over the treasuries of the house of God;
27 Om natten holdt de sig rundt omkring Guds hus; for det pålå dem å holde vakt, og de skulde lukke op portene hver morgen.
for they stayed round about the house of God during the night, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning [pertained] to them.
28 Nogen av levittene hadde tilsyn med de redskaper som bruktes ved tjenesten; de tellet dem, både når de bar dem inn, og når de bar dem ut.
And [part] of them had the charge of the instruments of service, for by number they brought them in and by number they brought them out.
29 Og nogen av dem var satt til å ha tilsyn med de andre redskaper - alle helligdommens redskaper - og med melet og vinen og oljen og viraken og krydderiene.
[Part] of them also were appointed over the vessels, and over all the holy instruments, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 Og nogen av prestenes sønner laget kryddersalven.
And it was [some one] of the sons of the priests who compounded the ointment of the spices.
31 Og Mattitja, en av levittene, korahitten Sallums førstefødte sønn, var betrodd å tillage bakverket.
And Mattithiah of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, was in trust over the things that were made in the pans.
32 Og nogen av deres brødre kahatittenes barn hadde tilsyn med skuebrødene og skulde legge dem til rette hver sabbat.
And [some] of the sons of the Kohathites, their brethren, were over the loaves to be set in rows, to prepare them every sabbath.
33 Dette var sangerne, familiehoder blandt levittene; de holdt til i kammerne og var fri for annen tjeneste; for de var dag og natt optatt med sitt eget arbeid.
And these were the singers, chief fathers of the Levites, [who were] in the chambers free from service; for they were employed day and night.
34 Alle disse var familiehoder blandt levittene efter sine ætter - overhoder; de bodde i Jerusalem.
These are the chief fathers of the Levites, heads according to their families; these dwelt in Jerusalem.
35 I Gibeon bodde Gibeons far Je'uel; hans hustru hette Ma'aka.
And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, and his wife's name was Maachah.
36 Og hans førstefødte sønn var Abdon; så var det Sur og Kis og Ba'al og Ner og Nadab
And his son, the firstborn, was Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
37 og Gedor og Ahjo og Sakarja og Miklot.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth;
38 Og Miklot fikk sønnen Simeam; også disse bodde midt imot sine brødre i Jerusalem, sammen med sine brødre.
and Mikloth begot Shimeam. And they also dwelt beside their brethren in Jerusalem, with their brethren.
39 Og Ner fikk sønnen Kis, og Kis var far til Saul, og Saul fikk sønnene Jonatan og Malkisua og Abinadab og Esba'al.
And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
40 Og Jonatans sønn var Meribba'al, og Meribba'al fikk sønnen Mika.
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-Baal; and Merib-Baal begot Micah.
41 Og Mikas sønner var Piton og Melek og Tahrea.
And the sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea.
42 Og Akas fikk sønnen Jara, og Jara fikk Alemet og Asmavet og Simri, og Simri fikk Mosa.
And Ahaz begot Jarah: and Jarah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza;
43 Og Mosa fikk sønnen Bina, og hans sønn var Refaja; hans sønn Elasa; hans sønn Asel.
and Moza begot Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
44 Og Asel hadde seks sønner, og dette var deres navn: Asrikam, Bokeru og Ismael og Searja og Obadja og Hanan; dette var Asels sønner.
And Azel had six sons, and these are their names: Azrikam, Bochru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan; these were the sons of Azel.
