< Tito 2 >

1 Nambu veve uganikiwa kukokosa mawuliwu gachakaka.
But let your words be in agreement with true and right teaching:
2 Vajovela vagogo kuvya viganikiwa vayihotola mitima yavi, vavya veviyuwanilwa na vandu na vangolongondi, viganikiwa vavyai na sadika ya chakaka, uganu na kusindimala.
That old men are to be simple in their tastes, serious, wise, true in faith, in love, and of a quiet mind.
3 Mewawa vajovela vadala vagogo vatama wumi wa kumganisa Chapanga, vakotoka kuvya vevikomanesa vandu amala vavanda va divayi. Viganikiwa kuwula mambu gabwina,
That old women are to be self-respecting in behaviour, not saying evil of others, not given to taking much wine, teachers of that which is good,
4 muni vavawula vanyina vasikana kuvagana vangwana vavi na vana vavi,
Training the younger women to have love for their husbands and children,
5 vavya vevakuhotola mitima yavi na vanyambi, valola bwina mambu ga panyumba, na vavayidakila vangwana vavi, muni ujumbi wa Chapanga ukoto kuveveswa.
To be wise in mind, clean in heart, kind; working in their houses, living under the authority of their husbands; so that no evil may be said of the word of God.
6 Mewawa, mvajovela vasongolo vayihotola mitima yavi.
To the young men give orders to be wise and serious-minded:
7 Mu mambu goha wamwene uganikiwa kuvya luhumu lwa kukita matendu gabwina. Mumawuliwu gaku ulangisa wamwene ukugasadika na kugalanda.
In all things see that you are an example of good works; holy in your teaching, serious in behaviour,
8 Malovi gaku gakotoka kuvya na mabudilu gogoha muni makoko gaku gakola soni na vakotoka kuvya na chindu chochoha chihakau chakujova kutivala tete.
Saying true and right words, against which no protest may be made, so that he who is not on our side may be put to shame, unable to say any evil of us.
9 Vavanda viganikiwa kuvayidakila vakulu vavi na kuvaganisa kwa mambu goha. Vakotoka kujovesana nawu,
Servants are to be under the authority of their masters, pleasing them in all things, without argument;
10 amala kuyiva vindu vyavi. Pahala paki viganikiwa kulangisa kuvya vabwina na vakusadikiwa magono goha, muni vakita mawuliwu ga Chapanga gabwina, msangula witu mukila njila.
Not taking what is not theirs, but giving clear signs of their good faith, in all things doing credit to the teaching of God our Saviour.
11 Muni ubwina wa Chapanga wa kuvasangula vandu voha ugubukuliwi.
For the grace of God has come, giving salvation to all men,
Training us so that, turning away from evil and the desires of this world, we may be living wisely and uprightly in the knowledge of God in this present life; (aiōn g165)
13 petilindila ligono lila la luheku lukulu yati tihuvalila yetilindila, penapo peuhumila Ukulu wa Chapanga Mkulu na Msangula witu Yesu Kilisitu.
Looking for the glad hope, the revelation of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Mwene Kilisitu ajiwusili mwene ndava yitu muni atigombola kuhuma mu uhakau woha na kutikita tivya tavandu vaki mwene vamsopi, vandu vevigana kukita gabwina.
Who gave himself for us, so that he might make us free from all wrongdoing, and make for himself a people clean in heart and on fire with good works.
15 Hinu, wula mambu genago na kutumila uhotola waku woha kuvakangamalisa mitima na kuvahakalila. Na mundu yoyoha na akotoka kukuvevesa.
On all these points give teaching and help, and make clear what is right with all authority. Let all men give you honour.
