1 Nene Pauli na Timoti vatumisi va Yesu Kilisitu. Tikuvayandikila nyenye vandu va Chapanga mwemuvi ku Filipi mwemuwungini na Kilisitu Yesu, pamonga na vachilongosi na vatangatila va msambi wa vandu vevakumsadika Kilisitu Yesu.
Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus, which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Tikuvaganila uteke na ubwina kuhuma kwa Chapanga kwa Chapanga Dadi witu na Bambu witu Yesu Kilisitu.
grace be unto you, and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Lukumbi lwoha nikumsengusa Chapanga penikuvakumbuka.
I give thanks unto my God upon every mention of you,
4 Lukumbi lwoha penikuvayupila mwavoha kwa Chapanga ndi nikuvayupila kwa luheku,
(always making supplication for you all with joy
5 ndava ya kuwungana na nene mulihengu la kuvakokosela vandu Lilovi la Bwina kuhumila kutumbula hati lelu.
in every prayer of mine) for your attachment to the gospel, from the first day even till now;
6 Hinu nimanya chakaka kuvya Chapanga mweatumbwili lihengu lenili labwina mumitima yinu, yati ayiyendeleza mbaka mu ligono lila la kubwela kavili Yesu Kilisitu.
being confident of this, that He who hath begun a good work in you will continue to perfect it till the day of Jesus Christ.
7 Ndi chabwina nene kuvaholalela nyenye ndava nyenye muvi mugati ya mutima wangu. Ndava muni mwavoha nyenye muhanganila na nene muubwina weatipeli Chapanga mukukokosa na kulikengelela Lilovi la Bwina, hinu penivili mchifungu na kutumbula penalekekiswi.
As it is just for me to think this of you all, because ye have me in your heart, both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, being all of you partakers of the same grace with me.
8 Chapanga amanyili kuvya nijova chakaka pala penijova muuganu kwa mtima wangu woha, kwa uganu wewihuma kwa Kilisitu Yesu.
For God is my witness, how much I long for you all, as with the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 Nikumuyupa Chapanga uganu winu uyonjokesa neju na neju pamonga na kuumanya uchakaka na luhala lwoha,
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment;
10 muhotola kuhagula lijambu lelivi labwina neju. Penapo ndi yati mwivya vabwina changali uhakau wowoha pa ligono la kuwuya Kilisitu.
that ye may try things that differ, that ye may be sincere and without offence until the day of Christ;
11 Wumi winu yati wimemeswa mambu gala geakugagana Chapanga mujila ya Kilisitu Yesu ndu ndava ya ukulu wa Chapanga na muni vandu vamtopesa na kumulumba Chapanga.
being full of the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God.
12 Valongo vangu, nigana mmanya kuvya mambu goha geganikolili gatangatili neju kudandasa Lilovi la Bwina.
But I would have you know, my brethren, that the things, which have befallen me, have proved rather to the advancement of the gospel:
13 Ndava ya genago valonda voha va nyumba ya nkosi pamonga na vangi voha penapa vimanya kuvya nivii muchifungu ndava nene nikumhengela Kilisitu.
so that my bonds are manifest in all the palace, and all other places, to be for the sake of Christ;
14 Ndava ya kukungiwa muchifungu ndi kuvakitili valongo vamahele vahotola kuyima cha kusindimala kwa sadika kwa Bambu, hati vahotola kukokosa ujumbi wa Chapanga changali wogohi.
and many of the brethren in the Lord, encouraged by my bonds, are much more bold to publish the word without fear.
15 Chakaka vandu vangi vakumkokosa Kilisitu ndava vana wihu na luhonda, nambu vangi vakokosa Lilovi la Bwina la Yesu Kilisitu kwa mtima wabwina na kugana kuvatangatila vandu.
Some indeed through envy and strife, and some also through good-will:
16 Vandu ava vihenga naha kwa mtima wa uganu muni vamanyili kuvya Chapanga anipeli lihengu lenili la kuyikengelela Lilovi la Bwina.
the former preach Christ out of contention, not sincerely, thinking to add affliction to my bonds;
17 Nambu vangi vala vakulikokosa Lilovi la Kilisitu kwa mhutanu nambu lepi kwa mtima wa bwina. Viholalela mukukita genago vakuniyonjokesela mang'ahiso gangu muchifungu.
the others out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 Hinu chindu lepi! Nene niheka ngati vandu vakumkokosa Kilisitu kwa kila njila, yivya kwa mtima wabwina amala kwa mtima uhakau, kavili yati niyendelela kuheka.
What then? yet every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is preached: and in this I rejoice, yea and I will rejoice;
19 Ndi nimanyili kuvya chamukuniyupila na mu njila ya utangatila wa Mpungu wa Yesu Kilisitu, goha geganikolili nene yati nihuma muchifungu.
for I know that this shall turn to my safety through your prayer, and the aid of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
20 Nihuvalila kwa mnogo uvaha na kuhuvalila ndi kuvya katu yati nikola lepi soni kwa kuleka kuhenga gegiganikiwa ndava ya Yesu Kilisitu. Ngati chanahengili kadeni. Na hinu nisadika wumi wangu yati ukumpela utopesa Kilisitu nivya mumi amala nifwili.
According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I shall be put to shame in nothing; but that with all freedom of speech, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 Kwa nene kuvya mumi ndi kumuhengela Kilisitu hati kufwa ndi chindu chabwina neju kwangu.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain: and if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor:
22 Nambu ngati mukutama yati nihotola kuhenga lihengu la kuvatangatila vandu vangi. Hinu nimanyili lepi? Nihagula loki!
so that I know not what to chuse;
23 Nihutwa kuni na kuni mambu aga gavili. Ninogela kuuleka mulima uwu muni nihambayi kutama pamonga na Kilisitu, lijambu lelivii labwina neju,
for I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ, which is much preferable:
24 nambu chabwina neju kwinu nyenye ngati niyendalili kutama.
but to abide in the flesh is more necessary for you.
25 Namwene nimanyili chakaka kuvya yati niyendelela kutama na nyenye voha muni muvatangatila muusadika na muvya na luheku musadika yeniyo,
And as I am confident of this, I know that I shall abide and shall continue with you all, for your improvement and the joy of your faith:
26 Hinu penivya na nyenye kavili, yati mwivya na chindu cha kumekela neju ndava yangu muwumi wa kuwungana na Kilisitu Yesu.
that your rejoicing in Christ Jesus may abound through me, by my coming to you again.
27 Hinu, lijambu leliganikiwa ndi kuvya matendu ginu gavyai ngati cheligana Lilovi la Bwina la Kilisitu muni ngati nihotwili kuwuya kwinu amala nakuhotola, muni nipata kuyuwana kuvya musindimili kuyima muvi mtima umonga na mtovana ngondo kwa mtima umonga. Ndava ya kuyikengelela sadika yeyiletwa na Lilovi la Bwina.
Only behave worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you, or be absent, I may hear of you, that ye stand firm in one Spirit, striving together as with one soul for the saith of the gospel;
28 Mkotoka kuvayogopa vamakoko vinu, nambu mvya vakekesi magono goha, na yeniyo yikuvalangisa kuvya vene yati vihoto lepi, nambu nyenye mukuvahotola muni Chapanga mwene ndi mweakuvapela uhotola.
and are in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is a demonstration of ruin to them, but to you of salvation, and this from God.
29 Muni nyenye mudinduliwi mlyangu wa kumhengela Kilisitu lepi kumsadika ndu, nambu mewa mukung'aiswa ndava ya mwene.
For to you it is granted as a favor from Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for his sake:
30 Hinu mwihotola kuvya pamonga na nene mukutovana ngondo. Ngondo yeniyi ndi yila yemwalolili yanatovana kadeni pala nakona nitovana hinu ngati chemwiyuwana.
having the same conflict as ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
