< Luka 10 >

1 Pagamaliki genago, Bambu akavahagula vandu vangi sabini na vavili, akavatuma vavili vavili vamulongolela kukila chijiji na kungi kweagana mwene kuhamba.
After this, the Lord appointed seventy others and sent them on ahead, two by two, to every town and place where he himself was about to go.
2 Akavajovela, “Mabenu gamahele, nambu vabenaji vadebe. Mumuyupa mkolo mgunda avatuma vabenaji kumgunda waki.
He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
3 Hinu muhamba!
Now go on your way. Behold, I am sending you out like lambs in the midst of wolves.
4 Mkotoka kutola chihaku cha mashonga amala lihaku wala Champali na munjila, mkotoka kumjambusa mundu yoyoha yula.
Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, and no sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
5 Nyumba yoyoha yemuyingila, muvajambusa, ‘Uteke uvyayi munyumba iyi.’
Whenever you enter a house, first say, ‘May peace be upon this house!’
6 Ngati avi mundu mweigana uteke, ndi uteke winu yati yitama na mwene! Ngati avi lepi, uteke winu yivawuyila mwavene.
If there is a man of peace there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you.
7 Mutama panyumba yeniyo, mlyayi na kunywa vyevakuvapela. Ndava muni mwanalihengu yiganikiwa apewa njombi yaki. Mkotoka kuwuka panyumba iyi na kuhamba panyumba yila.
Remain in the same house, eating and drinking whatever they provide, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
8 Pamuji wowoha wemuhikila na vandu ngati vavapokalili, mlyayi vyevakuvapela.
Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you.
9 Muvalamisa vana matamu vevavi kwenuko, muvajovela vandu, Unkosi wa Chapanga uvi papipi na nyenye.
Heal the sick in that city and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has drawn near to you.’
10 Nambu mukayingili pamuji wowoha wula na vakolo muji nakuvapokela, muwuka penapo, na pemwigenda munjila zavi mujova.
But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,
‘Even the dust that clings to us from your town we wipe off against you. Yet know this: The kingdom of God has drawn near to you.’
12 Chakaka nikuvajovela, ligono la muhalu ukulu, Chapanga yati avalipisa pavaha kwa uhakau winu kuliku vandu va ku Sodoma!”
I tell you, on that day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.
13 “Walachikolela veve Kolazini! Walachikolela veve Betisaida! Muni, gachinamtiti yeyakitiki kwinu, kuvya nga gakitiki ku Tilo na ku Sidoni, kutumbula penapo vandu vaki ngavamali kuwala nyula za magunila na kutama palyenge kulangisa vamuwuyili Chapanga.
“Woe to yoʋ, Chorazin! Woe to yoʋ, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 Hinu ligono la muhalu mkulu, Chapanga yati akuvabuna pavaha kuliku vandu va ku Tilo na ku Sidoni.
But it will be more tolerable at the judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you.
Lepi yati vakuhulusa mbaka kuligodi litali langali mwishu!” (Hadēs g86)
And yoʋ, Capernaum, who have been exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades. (Hadēs g86)
16 Kangi Yesu akajova, “Mundu mweakuvayuwanila nyenye, akuniyuwanila nene na mundu mweibela kuvapokela nyenye, ibela kunipokela nene. Na mundu yoyoha mweibela kunipokela nene, ibela kumpokela mweanitumili nene.”
“He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
When the seventy returned, they were joyful and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in yoʋr name.”
18 Mwene akavajovela, “Namuweni Setani ihelela kuhumila kunani ngati lumuli lwa mbamba.”
He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
19 Muyuwanila!
Behold, I am giving you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and to overcome all the power of the enemy, and nothing at all will harm you.
20 Nambu mkotoka kuheka ndava ya mizuka cheyikuvayidakila, ndi muhekelela muni mahina ginu gayandikiwi kunani kwa Chapanga.
Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Ena, Dadi ndi chawaganili.
At that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I praise yoʋ, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because yoʋ have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in yoʋr sight.”
22 Akayendelela kujova, “Dadi wangu anipeli vindu vyoha. Avi lepi mweammanyi Mwana nga Dadi na avi lepi mweammanyi Dadi nga Mwana na yoyoha mweaganili kumgubukulila.”
Then he turned to the disciples and said, “All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
23 Kangi avang'anamkili vawuliwa vaki akalongela nawu pachiepela, “Mmotisiwa nyenye kwa kulola chenicho chemwilola!
Then he turned to the disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see!
24 Chakaka, nikuvajovela vamlota va Chapanga na vankosi vanogili kugawona gemukugawona nyenye aga nambu vagaweni lepi, pangi vaganili kuyuwana gemyuwana nyenye aga, nambu vayuwini lepi.”
For I tell you that many prophets and kings wished to see the things you see but did not see them, and to hear the things you hear but did not hear them.”
25 Mundu mmonga mwamanyili bwina malagizu, ayimili akamkota Yesu cha kugana kumlinga. “Muwula, nikita wuli, muni nipokela wumi wa magono goha?” (aiōnios g166)
And behold, a lawyer stood up to test Jesus, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
26 Yesu akamkota, “Kiki chiyandikiwi mu Malagizu ga Musa? Ukuyisoma wuli?”
Jesus said to him, “What is written in the law? How do yoʋ read it?”
He answered, “Yoʋ shall love the Lord yoʋr God with all yoʋr heart, with all yoʋr soul, with all yoʋr strength, and with all yoʋr mind; and yoʋ shall love yoʋr neighbor as yoʋrself.”
28 Yesu akamjovela, “Chabwina! Kakita chenicho na veve yati wilama.”
Jesus said to him, “Yoʋ have answered correctly; do this and yoʋ will live.”
29 Nambu mwene aganili kulangisa kuvya amanyili cheachikotili, ndi akamkota Yesu, “Wu, muyangu ndi yani?”
But wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 Yesu akamyangula akajova, “Kwavi na mundu mmonga mweahelela kuhuma ku Yelusalemu kuhamba ku Yeliko, munjila vanyagaji, vakamzangila na kumtova, na vakamuhula nyula na kumnyaga vindu vyaki vyoha vyeavinavyu, vakamleka penapo avi mulung'olelu.
Jesus replied, “A man was going down to Jericho from Jerusalem and fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him, and went away, leaving him as he was, half dead.
31 Na ngipu yene Mteta wa Chapanga mmonga apitayi njila yilayila, peamuweni mundu yula mweazangiwi, akaveduka kumuhana akahamba.
Now a priest happened to be going down that road, but when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side.
32 Mewawa mundu Mlawi mmonga, apitili penapo peamuwene mweazangiwi yula akaveduka pamuhana akahamba.
In the same way, a Levite, when he came to that place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 Nambu Msamaliya mmonga mweavi mulugendu ahikili peavi mundu yula ndi peamuwene akamhengela lipyana.
But a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came to where the man was, and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion.
He went over to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
35 Chilau yaki akawusa mashonga dinali zivili akampela myimilila nyumba ya vayehe, akamjovela, mlwasa mundu uyu, na peniwuyayi yati nikukulipa chochoha cheuyonjokesa.”
On the next day, when he was departing, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more yoʋ spend I will repay to yoʋ when I return.’
Now which of these three do yoʋ think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 Muwula wa malagizu ga Chapanga geampeli Musa yula akamyangula “Ndi yula mweamhengili lipyana.” Yesu akamjovela, “Uhamba ukakita mewa.”
The lawyer said, “The one who showed him mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
38 Yesu na vawuliwa vaki pavavi mulugendu, vakayingila muchijiji chimonga, penapo mdala mmonga mwavamkemela Malita, akavagongolela kunyumba yaki.
As Jesus and his disciples went along, he entered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home.
39 Malita yula, avi na mlumbu waki mwavamkemela Maliya, mwenuyo atamili papipi na Yesu na kuyuwanila malovi gaki.
She had a sister named Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet and listened to what he was saying.
40 Nambu Malita ajifwahisa na mahengu gamahele. Ndi, akamuhambila Yesu, akamjovela, “Bambu, nakumlola mlumbu wangu anileki mahengu aga namwene? Hinu mjovelayi anitangatilayi.”
But Martha was distracted by the many preparations that had to be made. So she came up to Jesus and said, “Lord, do yoʋ not care that my sister has left me to make all the preparations by myself? Tell her then to assist me.”
41 Nambu Bambu akamyangula, “Malita, Malita, Veve ujifwahisa na kujing'aha na mambu gamahele.
But Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, yoʋ are anxious and troubled about many things,
42 Nambu chiganikiwa chindu chimonga ndu.
but only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.”
