1 Hinu, lijambu likulu pa genaga leajovili ndi lenili, tete tivii na Mteta Mkulu wa Chapanga ngati uyu, mweitama na pandu pa utopesa pa chiwoko cha kulyelela wa chigoda ya cha Chapanga cha kulongosa ukulu kunani kwa Chapanga.
A crowning point on the things being spoken: —such a one as this, have we, as high-priest, who hath sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, —
2 Mwene ihenga lihengu ngati Mteta Mkulu pandu Pamsopi neju, palindanda la chakaka la Chapanga, lelijengiwi na Bambu lepi na mundu.
Of the Holy place, a public minister, and of the Real Tent, which, the Lord, pitched and not man.
3 Kila Mteta Mkulu ahaguliwi kumuwusila Chapanga luteta lwa hinyama ya kuhinjwa na luteta lungi, ndi mewa Mteta mkulu witu yiganikiwa avyai na chindu cha kumuwusila Chapanga.
For, every high-priest, for the offering of both gifts and sacrifices, is constituted; whence it was necessary for, this one also, to have something which he might offer.
4 Ngati kuvya avi apa pamulima, ngaavili lepi Mteta, muni vamali kuvya vamteta veviwusa luteta ngati cheavalagazili mu Malagizu ga Musa.
If, indeed, therefore, he had been on earth, he had not, in that case, even been a priest, since there are those who are offering the gifts, according to the law: —
5 Lihengu lavi la uteta ndi luhumu ndu na chiwili cha gala gegavi kunani kwa Chapanga. Muni Musa peavi papipi kujenga lindanda lila, Chapanga amjovili, “Lola ujengayi ngati luhumu lula lwenakulangisi kuchitumbi cha Sinai.”
Who, indeed, are rendering divine service, with a glimpse and shadow, of the heavenly things; even as Moses hath received intimation, when about to complete the tent, —For see! saith he—Thou shalt make all things according to the model which hath been pointed out to thee in the mount.
6 Nambu hinu Yesu apewili lihengu la uteta lelivili likulu kuliku lavi, ndava muni lilaganu leavikili pagati ya Chapanga na vandu lavili labwina neju, ndava muni liyima panani ya lilagizu la mambu gegavi gabwina neju.
But, now, hath he attained unto, a more distinguished public ministry, —by as much as of a better covenant also he is, mediator, which indeed, upon better promises, hath been legislated.
7 Muni ngati lilaganu lila la kutumbula langabuda, langaganikiwi lilaganu la pili.
For, if, that first, had been, faultless, not, in that case, for a second, had there been sought, a place.
8 Nambu Chapanga alolili kubuda kwa vandu ndi akajova, “Magono gibwela, Bambu ijova, yati nikita lilaganu la mupya, na vandu va Isilaeli na vandu va Yuda.
For, finding fault with them, he saith—Lo! days are coming, saith the Lord, when I will conclude, for the house of Israel and the house of Judah, a covenant of a new sort:
9 Lilaganu lenili yati liwanangana lepi ngati lila lenakitili na vagogo vavi, mu ligono panavatolili kwa chiwoko changu kuhuma pamulima wa Misili. Muni vayidakili lepi lilaganu langu lenakiti nawu, ndava yeniyo nene navabelili, Bambu ijova.
Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by their hand, to lead them forth out of the land of Egypt, —because, they, abode not in my covenant, and, I, disregarded them, saith the Lord.
10 Hinu lenili ndi lilaganu yati lenikita na vandu va Isilaeli, magono gegibwela, Yati nivika Malagizu gangu muluhala lwavi, na kuzivika mu mitima yavi. Nene yati nivya Chapanga wavi, navene yati vivya vandu vangu.
Because, this, is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith the Lord: —giving my laws into their understanding, upon their hearts also, will I inscribe them: and I will become their God, and, they, shall become my people;
11 Kawaka mundu mweakumuwula muyaki, amala kumjovela mlongo waki, ‘Mmanya Bambu.’ Muni voha vadebe na vavaha, yati vakunimanya.
And in nowise shall they teach—every one his fellow-citizen, and every one his brother, saying, —Get to know the Lord! Because, all, shall know me, from the least unto the greatest of them;
12 Yati nikuvalekekesa kumbudila Chapanga wavi, yati nizihololela lepi kavili mabudili gavi.”
Because, propitious, will I be as to their unrighteousnesses, and, of their sins, in nowise will I be mindful, any more.
13 Chapanga peakulikemela lilaganu lenili lamupya, lila la kadeni lilalili, na chindu chochoha chechivya chigogolo na chechilalili chivii papipi na kuyaga.
In saying, Of a new sort, he hath made obsolete, the first; but, the thing that is becoming obsolete and aged, is near, disappearing!
