< Vaebulania 4 >

1 Hinu, ndava Chapanga atipeli lilagizi ya kupokela pumulilo na tijiyangalila muni hati mmonga winu, angahotola kupata pumulilo lenilo.
Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest remains open, let us proceed with fear so that none of you may be found to have fallen short of it.
2 Ndava muni tete mewawa tikokosiwi Lilovi la Bwina ngati chevakokosiliwi vandu va kadeni, vayuwini lilovi nambu yavatangatili lepi chindu, muni vala vevayuwini vaupokili lepi kwa sadika.
For we also have received good news just as they did. But the message they heard did not benefit them, since they were not united by faith with those who listened.
3 Nambu, tete vetisadika tipata pumulilo lenilo lealagizi Chapanga. Ngati cheajovili, “Penalapili mu ligoga langu, ‘Kuvya katu yati viyingila lepi pandu pangu pa pumulilo.’” Chapanga ajovili ago pamonga lihengu yaki amali kuyimala kutumbula peawumbili mulima.
For we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, God has said, “As I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter my rest!’” Now God's works have been finished from the foundation of the world.
4 Muni Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova pandu nunuyu ndava ya ligono la saba, “Chapanga apumulili ligono la saba, alekili mahengu gaki goha.”
For in one place it speaks about the seventh day as follows: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”
5 Kangi lijambu lenili lijoviwi mewa, “Viyingila lepi katu pamulima wenikuvapela vapumulila.”
But again, God says in the passage above: “They will not enter my rest!”
6 Vandu vala vevayuwini hoti Lilovi la Bwina vapokili lepi pumulilo lenilo, ndava vabeli kuyidakila, nambu leajovili Chapanga lakona livili kwa vangi kupumulila.
Therefore, since God's rest remains open for some to enter, and those who formerly received good news did not enter because of their disobedience,
7 Nambu Chapanga avikili ligono lingi lelikemelewa “Lelu,” Akajova miyaka yamahele mwanakandahi mu njila ya Daudi malovi gegamali kuluwuliwa, “Ngati myuwana lwami lwa Chapanga lelu, mkoto kukita mitima yinu yinonopa.”
he again designates a certain day, calling it “Today,” as he says through David much later, in the passage already quoted, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
8 Ngati Yoshua avapelili vandu avo pumulilo lenilo, Chapanga ngaajovili lepi ndava ya ligono lingi.
For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
9 Ndava yeniyo, kupumulila kwa vandu va Chapanga kwakona kuvili, ngati Chapanga cheapumulili ligono la saba.
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10 Muni, kila mweiyingila pandu pa pumulilo leajovili Chapanga yati ipumulila kuhuma mulihengu laki ngati mewa Chapanga cheapumulili kuhuma mulihengu laki.
For anyone who has entered God's rest has rested from his own works, just as God rested from his.
11 Hinu, tikangamalayi kupokela pumulila lenilo, muni akotoka kuvya mundu pagati yitu mweibela kuyidakila ngati chavahengili vene.
Therefore let us make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 Kawaka chiwumbi chochoha chechifiyiki palongolo ya Chapanga, kila chindu chigubukuliwi njwe palongolo ya mihu gaki, mwene ndi mweihamula kila chindu chetihenga.
No creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
14 Hinu, tiyikamula bwina sadika yetiwungama. Muni tivii na Mteta Mkulu mweiyingili mbaka kunani kwa Chapanga, Yesu Mwana wa Chapanga.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.
15 Ndava muni tivii na Mteta Mkulu wa Chapanga mweakutihengela lipyana, ndava ungolongondi witu, mwene alingiwi ngati tete mukila namuna nambu ambudili lepi Chapanga.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet was without sin.
16 Hinu, na tichihegelela chigoda cha ulongosi cha Chapanga pepavi na ubwina, changali wogohi mweavi na ubwina, tipokela lipyana na mota wa kututangatila lukumbi lwa mang'ahiso.
Therefore let us draw near to the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
