1 Sadika ndi kuvya na uchakaka wa mambu getihuvalila na kumanya njwe chakaka vindu vyangawonekana vivili.
Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.
2 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga vagogo vitu kadeni, vayidakiliwi na Chapanga.
This is why the ancients were commended.
3 Kwa sadika tete timanya kuvya mulima wawumbiwi kwa lilovi la Chapanga, hati vindu vyeviwonekana vyawumbiwi kuhuma vindu vyangalolekana. (aiōn )
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. (aiōn )
4 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Abeli amuwusili Chapanga luteta lwa kuhinjwa yeyivili yabwina neju kuliku yila ya Kaini. Ndava ya sadika ayidakiliwi na Chapanga kuvya mbwina palongolo yaki, Chapanga mwene aziyidakili luteta zaki. Kwa sadika yaki pamonga afwili, akona akutiwula timhuvalila Chapanga.
By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous when God gave approval to his gifts. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.
5 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga, Henoki atoliwi kuhamba kunani kwa Chapanga, ndi afwili lepi. Awonikini lepi kavili muni Chapanga amtolili. Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova kuvya, kwakona kutoliwa kuhamba kunani kwa Chapanga ayidakiliwi kuvya mundu mweamganisi Chapanga.
By faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
6 Kawaka mundu mweihotola kumganisa Chapanga changali kumsadika, ndava muni kila mundu mweakumhambila Chapanga ndi yikumgana asadika kuvya Chapanga avili, namwene akuvayunga vevakumgana kwa kukangamala.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
7 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Nuhu, ajoviwi na Chapanga mambu gala gegibwela kulongolo, gala gegawonekini lepi. Ndava ya kumyidakili Chapanga, ajengili Safina, mwenumo mwene pamonga na vandu va mu lukolo lwaki vasanguliwi. Kwa kusadika kwaki alangisi vandu voha vandu voha va pamulima vahukumiwi ndava ya uhakau, na Chapanga amkitili kuvya mbwina palongolo yaki ndava ya kumsadika.
By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in godly fear built an ark to save his family. By faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

9 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga, Ibulahimu avili myehe pamulima wealagaziwi na Chapanga. Atamili kwenuko mulindanda ngati cheatamili Izaki na Yakobo, vevapokili lilagizu lilalila kuhuma Kwa Chapanga.
By faith he dwelt in the promised land as a stranger in a foreign country. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.
10 Muni Ibulahimu avi mukulindila muji weujengiwi kwa mkingisa wa kusindimala, muji wewaholaliwi na kujengwa na Chapanga mwene.
For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
11 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga, Ibulahimu avi Dadi hati ngati avi mgogolo neju na Sala avi ngaveleka. Ibulahimu amsadiki Chapanga yati itimilisa malagizu gaki.
By faith Sarah, even though she was barren and beyond the proper age, was enabled to conceive a child, because she considered Him faithful who had promised.
12 Kuhumila kwa mundu mwenuyo mmonga, Ibulahimu, mweavi ngati afwili, vavelakiwi vandu vamahele vangavalangika ngati ndondo za kunani kwa Chapanga na msavati wa kumbwani.
And so from one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

All these people died in faith, without having received the things they were promised. However, they saw them and welcomed them from afar. And they acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
14 Vandu vevijova mambu ngati ago vilangisa kuvya vaulonda mulima uvya wavi vene.
Now those who say such things show that they are seeking a country of their own.
15 Ngaviholalela mulima wevaumili kadeni ngavahotwili kuwuya kwenuko.
If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.
16 Nambu pahala paki vinogela mulima wabwina neju, ndi mulima wa kunani kwa Chapanga. Ndava yeniyo Chapanga ikola lepi soni kukemelewa Chapanga wavi, muni avatendelekili muji.
Instead, they were longing for a better country, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
17 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga, Ibulahimu ayidakili kumuwusa Izaki mweavi mwana waki ngati luteta pala pealingiwi na Chapanga. Ibulahimu mweapokili lilagizu la Chapanga, nambu hati ago, ayidakili kumuwusa luteta mwana waki ngayuyo.
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac on the altar. He who had received the promises was ready to offer his one and only son,
18 Pamonga Chapanga amjovili Ibulahimu, “Vachiveleku vaku yati vihumila kwa Izaki.”
even though God had said to him, “Through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.”
19 Ibulahimu asadiki Chapanga ihotola kuyukisa vandu vevafwili, na tihotola kujova chakaka Ibulahimu ampokili kavili Izaki kuhuma vandu vevafwili.
Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and in a sense, he did receive Isaac back from death.
20 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Izaki avamotisi Yakobo na Esau, kwa gala gegibwela mwanakandahi.
By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning the future.
21 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Yakobo peavi papipi kufwa, avamotisi vana voha va Yosefu, akamgundamila Chapanga kuni ayegemili ndonga yaki.
By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.
22 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Yosefu peavi papipi kufwa, ajovili ndava ya kuhuma kwa vandu va Isilaeli mulima wa ku Misili, na mewa avalagazili vatola majege gaki peviwuka.
By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his bones.
23 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga dadi na nyina wa Musa vamhiyili Musa mulukumbi lwa miheyi yidatu peamali kuvelekewa. Vamuwene kuvya mwana mbwina, wala vayogwipi lepi malagizu ga nkosi.
By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after his birth, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were unafraid of the king’s edict.
24 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Musa peavi mundu mvaha, abelili kukemelewa mwana wa msikana wa Falao ndi nkosi wa Misili.
By faith Moses, when he was grown, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
25 Awene mbanga kung'ahika pamonga na vandu va Chapanga kuliku kuhekelela luheku lwa kumbudila Chapanga, mulukumbi luhupi.
He chose to suffer oppression with God’s people rather than to experience the fleeting enjoyment of sin.
26 Amanyili kuvya kung'ahika ndava ya Kilisitu ndi lijambu labwina kuliku umahele wa vindu vyoha vya mulima wa Misili, muni alolelayi kupokela luhuna lwaki lwa wumi wa magono goha gangali mwishu.
He valued disgrace for Christ above the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his reward.
27 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Musa ahumili ku Misili changali kuyogopa ligoga la nkosi. Na asindimili ndava avi ngati mundu mweamuwene Chapanga angalolekana kwa mihu.
By faith Moses left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw Him who is invisible.
28 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga, Musa akitili mselebuko wa Pasaka na kulagiza ngasi yinyunyuziwa panani ya milyangu, muni mtumu wa kunani kwa Chapanga wa mweatumwili kuleta lifwa akotoka kuvakoma vana vagosi vatumbulanu va Isilaeli.
By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch Israel’s own firstborn.

By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days.
31 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga Lahabu mweavi yula mdala mkemi akomiwi lepi na vala vangasadika, ndava avapokili chabwina vamang'omesi va Isilaeli.
By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies in peace, did not perish with those who were disobedient.
32 Hinu, nijova kyani neju? Nivii lepi na fwasi ya kujova mambu ga Gidioni na Balaki na Samsoni na Yefuta na Daudi na Samueli na vamlota va Chapanga.
And what more shall I say? Time will not allow me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and the prophets,
33 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga vandu venavo vavahotwili vankosi. Vavahamwili ngati cheyikumganisa Chapanga, na vapokili gala gevalagaziwi na Chapanga. Vakungili milomo ya mahimba,
who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions,
34 vajimisi miali ya motu, vatilili kukomiwa kwa vipula, pevavi vangolongondi, vasopiwi makakala, vavi vakekesi ku ngondo, vavavingili manjolinjoli vayehe.
quenched the raging fire, and escaped the edge of the sword; who gained strength from weakness, became mighty in battle, and put foreign armies to flight.
35 Kwa kumsadika Chapanga vadala vangi vakiliwusiwi valongo vevafwili kwa kuyukiswa. Vangi vavi vang'aiki mpaka kufwa vabeli kudinduliwa muni vayukiswayi na kuyingila muwumi weuvi wabwina neju.
Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused their release, so that they might gain a better resurrection.
36 Vangi vaveviswi na kutoviwa michapilu, vangi vakungiwi minyololo na kutagilwa muchifungu.
Still others endured mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.
37 Vafwili kwa kutoviwa na maganga, vangi vadumuliwi kwa msumeno hipandi hivili, vangi vakomiwi kwa vipula. Valyungilyungi kuni vawalili vikumba vya mambelele na mene. Vavi vandu vangangu, vang'aiswi na kukitiwa uhakau.
They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they were put to death by the sword. They went around in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, oppressed, and mistreated.
38 Mulima waganikiwa lepi kuvya na vandu ngati avo. Valyungilyungili kulugangatu na kuchitumbi, vatama mu mbugu na mumagodi ga pandima.
The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and hid in caves and holes in the ground.
39 Vandu ava voha vawonikini kuvya vakekesi ndava ya kusadika kwavi. Pamonga na ago, vapokili lepi gala geajovili Chapanga,
These were all commended for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised.
40 ndava Chapanga aganili kutihengela lijambu labwina neju ndava yitu, muni aganili kuvya vene pamonga na tete ndu kuvya vakamilifu.
God had planned something better for us, so that together with us they would be made perfect.
