1 Vankozi vangu, yeniyi balua ya pili yenikuvayandikila. Mubalua zivili izo nilingili kuyumusa maholo gabwina muluhala lwinu kwa kuvakumbusa mambu aga.
Behold this second epistle I write to you, my dearly beloved, in which I stir up by way of admonition your sincere mind:
2 Nigana mkumbuka malovi gegajoviwi na vamlota vamsopi, na mihilu yila ya BAMBU na Msangula gemwapewili na vamitumi vinu.
That you may be mindful of those words which I told you before from the holy prophets, and of your apostles, of the precepts of the Lord and Saviour.
3 Kwa kutumbula nigana kuvakumbusa hoti mu magono ga mwishu yati vibwela vandu vevilanda mnogo wavi uhakau yati vakuvavevesa nyenye,
Knowing this first, that in the last days there shall come deceitful scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 na kujova, “Ajovili yati ibwela! Wu, hinu avili koki? Vagogo vitu vafwili na kila chindu chisigalili ngati chechavili kuhuma kuwumbwa kwa mulima, vindu ndi vilavila ngati chayavili kuwumbwa kwa mulima!”
Saying: Where is his promise or his coming? for since the time that the fathers slept, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 Vandu avo, kwa kugana kwavi, vikosiwa kuvya kadeni Chapanga ajovili, kunani na pamulima pawumbiwi. Mulima wawumbiwi kuhuma mumanji na kwa manji,
For this they are wilfully ignorant of, that the heavens were before, and the earth out of water, and through water, consisting by the word of God.
6 na mewawa kwa manji gamahele, manji gamahele gegagubiki mulima na kuyongomesa.
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.
7 Na kwa lilovi lilalila la Chapanga, kunani kwa Chapanga na mulima wa magono aga zivikiwi muni zitinyiswa kwa motu. Zivikiwi mbaka ligono lila la uhamula penapo vandu vangamyogopa Chapanga pevihamuliwa na kuhalibiswa.
But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of the ungodly men.
8 Nambu, vankozi vangu, mkoto kukosiwa chindu chimonga! Palongolo ya BAMBU ligono limonga ndi ngati miyaka elufu na miyaka elufu ngati ligono limonga.
But of this one thing be not ignorant, my beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 BAMBU ikavila lepi kugakita gala geavahaidili ngati vandu cheviholalela ikavila. Mwene akuvasindimalila aganili lepi hati mundu mmonga ayaga, nambu igana kila mundu aleka kumbudila kwaki Chapanga.
The Lord delayeth not his promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance.
10 Nambu Ligono la BAMBU yati libwela kwa kukenyemusa ngati kubwela kwa muhiji. Ligono lenilo kunani kwa Chapanga yati kuwusiwa kwa chigigi chikulu, vindu vyoha vyevivili kunani yati vitiniswa na kuhalibiswa. Mulima na vindu vyoha vyevivili mugati yaki yati vitiniswa.
But the day of the Lord shall come as a thief, in which the heavens shall pass away with great violence, and the elements shall be melted with heat, and the earth and the works which are in it, shall be burnt up.
11 Ndava muni kila chindu chihalabiswa namuna yeniyo, wu nyenye mganikiwa kuvya vandu va namuna yoki? Mganikiwa kutama chamsopi na kumtopesa neju Chapanga,
Seeing then that all these things are to be dissolved, what manner of people ought you to be in holy conversation and godliness?
12 mukulindila Ligono lila la Chapanga na kulikita libwela kanyata. Ligono lenilo kunani yati kutiniswa kwa motu na kuhalabiwa, na vindu vyaki vyevivili kunani yati viwungunyuka kwa motu.
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of the Lord, by which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with the burning heat?
13 Nambu tete, tilindila cheajovili Chapanga, tilindila kunani kwa mupya na mulima wa mupya ndi pandu pala kila mmonga ikita ga kumganisa Chapanga.
But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to his promises, in which justice dwelleth.
14 Hinu vankozi vangu, pemwilindila Ligono lila, mkita chemwihotola kuvya vamsopi changabuda palongolo ya Chapanga na mtama nayu kwa uteke.
Wherefore, dearly beloved, waiting for these things, be diligent that you may be found before him unspotted and blameless in peace.
15 Na nyenye mkoto kukosewa usindimala wa BAMBU kuvya ndi fwasi ya kusanguliwa, ngati mlongo witu Pauli cheavayandikili kwa luhala lweapewili na Chapanga.
And account the longsuffering of our Lord, salvation; as also our most dear brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you:
16 Ago ndi geayandiki mubalua zaki zoha peilongalela lijambu lenilo. Mubalua zaki gavili mambu gamahele geginonopa kugamanya, ndi vandu vayimu na veving'anamuka, ngati cheving'anamusa pandu pangi pa Mayandiku Gamsopi. Ndi vikulukisa kukomiwa kwavi vene.
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 Nambu nyenye vankozi vangu mmalili kumanya lijambu ili. Hinu mjiyangalila mkoto kuyagiswa na mabudilu ga vandu vangayidakila Malagizu, na kugwa kuhuma mukuyima kwinu cha kusindimala.
You therefore, brethren, knowing these things before, take heed, lest being led aside by the error of the unwise, you fall from your own steadfastness.
18 Nambu muyendelela kukula mukummanya BAMBU witu na Msangula Yesu Kilisitu. Ukulu uvya kwaki, hinu na hati magono goha gangali mwishu! Ena. (aiōn g165)
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and unto the day of eternity. Amen. (aiōn g165)
The World is Destroyed by Water
