1 Yohani 5
1 Kila mundu mwaisadika kuvya Yesu ndi Kilisitu Msangula mundu mwenuyo ndi mwana wa Chapanga. Na kila mweakumugana dadi mewawa akumgana na mwana waki.
Whoever believeth that Jesus is the Messiah, is born of God. And whoever loveth the begetter, loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 Lijambu lenili ndi likutikita timanyayi kuvya tivaganili vana va Chapanga, ndi patikumugana Chapanga na kuyidakila mihilu yaki.
And by this we know, that we love the children of God, when we love God, and follow his commandments.
3 Ndava kumugana Chapanga ndi kuyidakila mihilu yaki. Na mihilu yaki yitopa lepi,
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.
4 ndava kila mundu mweavi mwana wa Chapanga ihotola kugahotola mambu ga mulima uwu. Na tete tikuuhotola mulima kwa sadika yitu.
Because, whoever is born of God, overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, our faith.
5 Yani ihotola kugahotola mambu ga mulima? Ndi yula mweisadika kuvya Yesu ndi Mwana wa Chapanga.
For who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 Yesu Kilisitu ndi mweabwelili kwa njila ya manji lukumbi lwa ubatizu na kwa ngasi peafwili. Abwelili lepi kwa njila ya manji ndu, nambu kwa manji na ngasi. Na Mpungu Msopi ijova aga ndi chakaka ndava ya Yesu muni Mpungu Msopi ndi mchakaka.
This is he who came by the water and the blood. Jesus the Messiah; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit testifieth; because the Spirit is truth.
7 Hinu vavi vadatu vevijova uchakaka.
For there are three that testify in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
8 Mpungu Msopi, manji na ngasi, na voha viyidakilana chindu chimonga.
And there are three witnesses, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are in union.
9 Tete tisadika lukumbi vandu vakutijovela gavagaweni ndi gala geijova Chapanga gitopa neju na Chapanga ijova chakaka kumvala Mwana waki.
If we receive the testimony of men, how much greater is the testimony of God? And this is the testimony of God, which he hath testified concerning his Son.
10 Ndi kila mundu mweakumusadika mwana wa Chapanga avinawu wenuwo uchakaka mumtima waki. Nambu mweangamsadika Chapanga akumukita Chapanga kuvya mdese, ndava asadiki lepi mambu geajovili Chapanga kumvala Mwana waki.
Whoever believeth in the Son of God, hath this testimony in himself. And whoever believeth not God, hath made him a liar, by not believing the testimony which God hath testified concerning his Son.
11 Na uchakaka wene ndi uwu: Chapanga atipelili wumi wa magono goha gangali mwishu, na wumi wenuwo upatikana kwa Mwana waki. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the testimony, that God hath given to us life eternal, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Mundu yoyoha mweavili na Mwana wa Chapanga avi na wumi wenuwo, na mundu mweavi lepi na Mwana wa Chapanga avi lepi na wumi wenuwo.
Every one that taketh hold of the Son, taketh hold of life; and every one that taketh not hold of the Son, hath not life.
13 Nivayandikili nambu mumanyayi kuvya muvinau wumi wa magono goha gangali mwishu, nyenye mwamukumsadiki Mwana wa Chapanga. (aiōnios g166)
These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye have life eternal, ye who believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 Lijambu lenili ndi likutikita timanya changali kuyogopa kuvya Chapanga akutiyuwanila, na tikamyupa chindu chochoha ngati cheigana akutiyuwana.
And this is the confidence that we have towards him, that whatever we ask of him, agreeably to his will, he heareth us.
15 Na tete tikamanyayi kuvya kila petiyupa akutiyuwana, ndi timanyi kuvya tipokela chochoha chatiyupa kwaki.
And if we are persuaded that he heareth us respecting what we ask of him, we are confident of receiving presently the petitions which we asked of him.
16 Ngati mundu yati akamlola mlongo waki ikita gakumbudila Chapanga gangamlongosa mulifwa, iganikiwa amyupilayi, na Chapanga yati akumupela wumi mundu mwenuyo, nilongela aga ndava ya vala vavihenga uhakau wangavalongosa mulifwa. Nambu kuvili kumbudila Chapanga kwekumlongosa mundu mulifwa nene nijova lepi myupa ndava ya kumbudila Chapanga kwenuko.
If any one shall see his brother sin a sin which doth not deserve death, he shall ask, and life will be given him, to them I say who sin not as unto death. For there is a sin of death; and I do not say of this, that a man should pray for it.
17 Lijambu loloha langamganisa Chapanga, lenilo ndi lijambu la kumbudila Chapanga, nambu kuvili kumbudila Chapanga kwanga mlongosa mundu mulifwa.
For all iniquity is sin; and there is a sin which is not of death.
18 Timanyili kuvya kila mundu mweavili Mwana wa Chapanga iyendelela lepi kumbudila Chapanga, ndava muni Mwana wa Chapanga akumyunga na Muhakau ihotola lepi kumkita Chindu chochoha.
And we know, that every one who is born of God, sinneth not: for he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.
19 Timanyi kuvya tete ndi tavana va Chapanga, na mulima woha ulongoswa na Muhakau.
We know, that we are of God; and all the world is reposing on the evil one.
20 Tete timanyili kuvya Mwana wa Chapanga amali kubwela, na mwene ndi atikitili timmanya Chapanga wa chakaka. Na tete titama mukuwungana na Chapanga wa chakaka kwa njila ya kuwungana na Mwana waki Yesu Kilisitu. Mwenuyu ndi Chapanga wa chakaka, na ndi wumi wa magono goha gangali mwishu. (aiōnios g166)
And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us knowledge that we might know the True One; and that we might be in the True One, in his Son Jesus the Messiah. He is the true God, and the life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
21 Vana vangu, mujiyangalila mkoto kugundamila chimong'omong'o.
My children, keep yourselves from idolatry.
