1 Mwava nkozi vangu, mkoto kumsadika kila mundu mweijova ilongoswa na Mpungu wa Chapanga, ndi mumlinga hoti mmanya ngati chakaka Mpungu mwenuyo ihuma kwa Chapanga amala lepi, ndava muni kuvi na vamlota vamahele va udese pamulima.
Beloved! not in every spirit, believe ye, but test the spirits, whether they are, of God; because, many false prophets, have gone out into the world.
2 Yeni ndi njila ya kumanya kuvya mundu ilongoswa na Mpungu wa Chapanga, kila mundu mweiyidakila Yesu Kilisitu abwelili na kuvya mundu, mwenuyo ndi ilongoswa na Mpungu wa Chapanga.
Hereby, do ye perceive the Spirit of God: —every spirit that confesseth Jesus Christ as having come, in flesh, is, of God;
3 Nambu kila mundu mwangayidakila ago ndava ya Yesu mundu mwenuyo ilongoswa lepi na mpungu wewihuma kwa Chapanga. Na mwenuyo ilongoswa na Mpungu wa yula mweakumbela Kilisitu Mpungu mwenuyo mwemwayuwini kuvya ibwela na hinu amali kubwela pamulima.
And, every spirit that doth not confess Jesus, of God, is not. And, this, is the [spirit] of the Antichrist, touching which ye have heard that it cometh: even now, is it, in the world, already.
4 Mwavana nyenye, ndi vandu va Chapanga, na mmalili kuvahotola vamlota va udese ndava Mpungu wa Chapanga mweavili mugati yinu ana makakala kuliku yula mweavili mugati ya vandu va mulima uwu.
Ye, are, of God, dear children, and have overcome them; because, greater, is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 Vamlota venavo ndi vandu va mulima vijova mambu ga mulima na vandu va pamulima vakuvayuwanila ndava muni vene ndi va pamulima.
They, are, of the world: For this cause, of the world, they speak, and the world, unto them, doth hearken.
6 Nambu tete tavandu va Chapanga. Na mundu yoyoha mweammanyili Chapanga akutiyuwanila tete, mweangavya wa Chapanga akutiyuwanila lepi. Chenichi ndi chetihotola kummanya Mpungu wa chakaka na mpungu wa udese.
We, are, of God: he that is getting to understand God, hearkeneth unto us, —whoso is not of God, hearkeneth not unto us: from this, perceive we—the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Vankozi vangu tiganana muni uganu uhuma kwa Chapanga. Mundu yoyoha mweavili na uganu mwenuyo ndi mwana wa Chapanga na ammanyili Chapanga.
Beloved! let us be loving one another; because, love, is, of God, and, whosoever loveth, of God, hath been born, and is getting to understand God:
8 Mundu yoyoha mwangali uganu ammanyi lepi Chapanga, ndava Chapanga ndi uganu.
He that doth not love, doth not understand God, because, God, is, love.
9 Chapanga alangisi uganu waki kwa kumtuma Mwana waki ngamwene pamulima, muni tivya na wumi wa chakaka.
Herein, hath the love of God in us, been made manifest, that, his only-begotten Son, God sent into the world, in order that we might live through him.
10 Uwu ndi uganu, tete lepi mwatamugani Chapanga, nambu mwene atiganili tete ndi amtumili Mwana waki avyayi luteta lwa kutiwusila kumbudila kwitu Chapanga.
Herein, is love: not that, we, have loved God, but that, he, loved us, and sent forth his Son, as a propitiation concerning our sins.
11 Vankozi vangu, yikavya Chapanga atiganili chenicho, na tete tiganikiwa tigananayi.
Beloved! If, in this way, God, loved us, we also, ought to love, one another.
12 Kawaka mundu mweamuweni Chapanga lukumbi lwolwoha lula, ngati tiganana, ndi Chapanga itama mukuwungana na tete na uganu waki udandasika mugati yitu.
Upon God, hath no one, at any time, gazed: If we love one another, God, in us, abideth, and, his love, hath been perfected within us.
13 Timanyi kuvya titama mukuwunga na Chapanga na mwene itama mukuwungana na tete, ndava atipelili Mpungu waki Msopi.
Hereby, perceive we—that, in him, are we abiding, and, he, in us, —in that, of his Spirit, hath he given unto us.
14 Tete tilolili na kuvajovela vangi kuvya Dadi amutumili Mwana waki pamulima avyayi Msangula wa pamulima.
And, we, for ourselves have gazed, and are bearing witness—that, the Father, sent forth the Son, as Saviour of the world.
15 Kila mundu mweiyidakila na kujova kuvya Yesu ndi Mwana wa Chapanga, Chapanga itama mukuwungana nayu, na mwene mukuwungana na Chapanga.
Whosoever shall confess, that, Jesus [Christ] is the Son of God, God, in him, abideth, and, he, in God.
16 Na tete timanyili na kuusadika uganu wa Chapanga weavi nawu ndava yitu. Chapanga ndi uganu, ndi mundu yoyoha mweitama muuganu vitama mukuwungana na Chapanga na Chapanga itama mukuwungana nayu.
And, we, have come to understand and to trust the love which, God, hath, in us. God, is, love; and, he that abideth in love, in God, abideth, and, God, in him [abideth].
17 Uganu udandasiki mugati yitu ndava tihotola kuvya na ukekesi ligono lila la uhamula, na tivya nawu ndava muni titama ngati Kilisitu cheatamili.
Herein, hath love with us, been made perfect, —in order that, boldness, we might have in the day of judging, —in that, just as, He, is, we also, are, in this world.
18 Pepavili na uganu kawaka wogohi. Ena! Uganu waudandasiki uvinga wogohi woha, muni mundu mweavi na wogohi adandasiki lepi muuganu. Muni mundu mweavi na wogohi iyogopa kuhamuliwa.
Fear, existeth not, in love, but, perfect love, casteth fear, outside; because, fear, hath correction: he that feareth, hath not been made perfect, in love.
19 Tete tigana ndava Chapanga atumbwili kutigana tete.
We, love, because, he, first loved us: —
20 Mundu akajova nimganili Chapanga na kuni amvengili mlongo waki ana udese. Ndava mundu mwangamgana mlongo waki mweakumlola ihotola wuli kumgana Chapanga mweangamuwona?
If one should say, I love God, and should be hating, his brother, false, is he; for, he that doth not love his brother, whom he hath seen, God, whom he hath not seen, he cannot love!
21 Hinu, mihilu yeniyi ndi yetipewili na Kilisitu ndi aga: Mundu mwakumgana Chapanga iganikiwa mewa amgana mlongo waki.
And, this commandment, have we from him, —that, he who loveth God, love, his brother also.
