श्रेष्ठगीत 7
1 प्रेमी प्रेमिकासित बोल्दैः हे राजकुमारकी छोरी, जुत्ता लगाएका तिम्रा खुट्टा कति राम्रा छन्! गुरु कारीगरका हातले बनाएका जस्तै तिम्रा तिघ्राका गोलाइहरू रत्नझैँ छन् ।
You who are the daughter of a prince/king, you have lovely feet in your sandals. Your curved hips/thighs are like [SIM] jewels that have been made by a (skilled craftsman/man who shapes jewels very well).
2 तिम्रो नाभि वृत्ताकार कचौराजस्तै छ, जसमा मिसिएको दाखमद्यको कहिल्यै कमी नहोस् । तिम्रो पेट लिली फुलहरूले घेरिएको गहुँको थुप्रोजस्तै छ ।
Your navel is [like] [MET] a round bowl that is always full of wine mixed [with spices]. Your waist is [like] [SIM] a mound/bundle of wheat with lilies [growing] around it.
3 तिम्रा दुई स्तन दुईवटा पाठाजस्ता छन्, हरिणका जुम्ल्याहा पाठाजस्ता छन् ।
Your breasts are as [as beautiful] as [SIM] two (fawns/young gazelles).
4 तिम्रो घाँटी हस्ती-हाडको धरहराजस्तो छ । तिम्रा आँखा बाथ-रब्बीमको मूल ढोकाको छेउमा अवस्थित हेश्बोनका तलाउहरूजस्ता छन् । तिम्रो नाक दमस्कसतिर फर्केको लेबनानको धरहराजस्तो छ ।
Your neck is like [SIM] a tower [made of] ivory. Your eyes [sparkle/shine like] [MET] the pools in Heshbon [city], near the Bath-Rabbim gate. Your nose is [is as lovely] as [SIM] the tower of Lebanon which faces toward Damascus.
5 कर्मेल डाँडाजस्तै तिम्रो शिरले तिमीमाथि छ । तिम्रो शिरमा भएको कपाल कालो बैजनी रङको छ । कपालका राशिद्वारा राजा मोहित पारिन्छन् ।
Your head is [majestic] like [SIM] Carmel Mountain. Your long hair is shiny [SIM] and black; [it is as though] I, your king, am captured by your tresses.
6 हे मेरी प्रिय, तिम्रो आनन्दमा तिमी कति सुन्दरी र मायालु छ्यौ!
You whom I love, who have many charming features that attract me, are very beautiful and pleasant/pleasing.
7 तिम्रो उचाइ खजूरको रुखजस्तै छ, र तिम्रा स्तनहरू फलका झुप्पाझैँ छन् ।
You are stately like [SIM] a palm tree, and your breasts are like [SIM] clusters/bunches of dates/fruit.

I said [to myself], “I will climb that palm tree and take hold of those clusters of dates.” To me, your breasts are like clusters of grapes [that I can feel] and your breath is like the sweet fragrance of apples
9 तिम्रो मुखको तालु मेरा प्रेमीकहाँ बिस्तारै बगेर जाने, सुत्नेहरूका ओठमा बग्ने सर्वोत्तम दाखमद्यजस्तै होस् । प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः
and your kisses are like very good wine. My kisses [MTY] go to the one who loves me and flow [like wine] over his lips and his teeth.
10 म मेरा प्रेमीकी हुँ, र उहाँले मेरो मेरो तृष्णा गर्नुहुन्छ ।
I belong to the man who loves me, and he desires me.
11 हे मेरा प्रेमी, आउनुहोस् । हामी खेतबारीमा डुल्न जाऔँ; गाउँहरूतिरै रात बिताऔँ ।
You who love me, let’s go to the countryside, and sleep among the henna bushes (OR, in one of the villages).
12 हामी बिहान सबेरै उठेर दाखबारीहरूमा जाऔँ । दाखहरूमा कोपिला लागेर फक्रेका छन् कि छैनन्, र दारिमहरूमा फुल लागेका छन् कि छैनन् भनेर हेर्न जाऔँ । त्यहाँ म तपाईंलाई मेरो प्रेम दिने छु ।
And let’s go early to the vineyards to see if the grapevines have budded and if there are blossoms on them that have opened, and to see if the pomegranate [trees] are blooming, and there I will make love to you.
13 दूधे-फुलहरूले आफ्नो बास्ना फैलाउँछन् । हामी उभिरहेको ढोकामा हर किसिमका उत्तम, नयाँ र पुराना फलहरू छन्, जुन मैले मेरा प्रेमीका लागि साँचिराखेकी छु ।
The mandrakes/love-apples are producing a fragrant odor, and we are surrounded by delightful [pleasures] [MET, EUP], new ones and old ones, pleasures that I have been saving to give to you, who love me.
