श्रेष्‍ठगीत 2

1 प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः म शारोनको घाँसे मैदानमा उम्रने फुल र बेँसीको लिली हुँ । प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः

I [am] [the] crocus of Sharon lily of the valleys.

2 काँढाहरूका बिचमा फुलेको लिली फुलझैँ मेरी प्रिय युवतीहरूका बिचमा छिन् । प्रेमिका आफैसित बोल्दैः

Like a lily between the thorns [is] so friend my between the daughters.

3 जङ्गलका रुखहरूमध्ये स्याउको रुखझैँ मेरा प्रेमी युवाहरूका बिचमा हुनुहुन्छ । म उहाँको छायामुनि बडो आनन्दसित पल्टन्छु, र उहाँको फलको स्वाद मलाई मिठो लाग्छ ।

Like an apple tree among [the] trees of the forest [is] so lover my between the sons in shade his I desired and I sat and fruit his [was] sweet to palate my.

4 उहाँले मलाई दाखमद्य-गृहमा ल्याउनुभयो, र ममाथि भएको उहाँको झन्डा प्रेम थियो । प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः

He has brought me into [the] house of wine and standard his over me [is] love.

5 मलाई किसमिसको परिकारले सजीव तुल्याउनुहोस्, र स्याउले ताजा बनाउनुहोस्, किनकि म प्रेमले कमजोर भएकी छु । प्रेमिका आफैसित बोल्दैः

Sustain me with raisin-cakes refresh me with apples for [am] weak of love I.

6 उहाँको देब्रे हात मुरो शिरमूनि छ, र दाहिने हातले मलाई अङ्गालो हाल्छ । प्रेमिका अन्य स्‍त्रीहरूसित बोल्दैः

Left [hand] his [is] under head my and right [hand] his it embraces me.

7 हे यरूशलेमका छोरीहरू हो, मैदानका मुडुली मृग र हरिणहरूको नाउँमा म तिमीहरूसित वाचा बाँध्छु, कि आफूले नचाहेसम्म प्रेमलाई नबिउँझाओ वा नजगाओ । प्रेमिका आफैसित बोल्दैः

I adjure you O daughters of Jerusalem by gazelles or by [the] does of the field if you will awaken - and if you will arouse love until that it will please.

8 मेरा प्रेमीको सोर सुनिएको छ । सुन, पहाडहरूमा हामफाल्दै र डाँडाहरू छिचोल्दै उहाँ यहाँ आउनुहुन्छ ।

9 मेरा प्रेमी हरिण वा जवान मृगजस्तै हुनुहुन्छ । हेर, उहाँ हाम्रो पर्खालको पछाडिपट्टि उभिरहनुभएको छ । उहाँले झ्यालभित्र नियालेर हेर्दै हुनुहुन्छ र आँखी-झ्यालभित्र चियाएर हेर्दै हुनुहुन्छ ।

10 मेरा प्रेमी मसित बोल्नुभयो र उहाँले मलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “हे मेरी प्रिय, उठ । हे मेरी सुन्दरी, मसित आऊ ।

11 हेर, हिउँद बितिसकेको छ; वर्षा पनि सकिएर गयो ।

12 पृथ्वीमा फुलहरू देखा परेका छन् । छिँवल्ने र चराचुरुङ्गीहरूले गीत गाउने समय आएको छ, अनि हाम्रो देशमा ढुकुरहरूको सोर सुनिएको छ ।

The blossoms they have appeared in the land [the] time of pruning it has arrived and [the] sound of the turtle-dove it has been heard in land our.

13 अञ्‍जीरका बोटमा अञ्‍जीरका हरिया दाना लागिसकेका छन् र दाखहरूको मुजुरा लागेका छन् । तिनीहरूले आफ्ना बास्‍ना फिँजाउँछन् । हे मेरी प्रिय, मेरी सुन्दरी, उठेर आऊ ।

14 पहराका धाँदाहरू, भिरालो पहाडका गुप्‍त चिराहरूमा बस्‍ने मेरी ढुकुर्नी, मलाई तिम्रो मुहार हेर्न देऊ । मलाई तिम्रो सोर सुन्‍न देऊ, किनकि तिम्रो सोर सुरिलो छ, र तिम्रो मुहार मायालु छ ।” प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः

O dove my in [the] clefts of the rock in [the] hiding place of the steep place let see me form your cause to hear me voice your for voice your [is] sweet and form your [is] lovely.

15 हाम्रा लागि फ्याउराहरू समात्‍नुहोस्, ससाना फ्याउराहरू जसले दाखबारि नष्‍ट पार्छन्, किनकि हाम्रो दाखबारीमा मुजुरा लागेको छ ।

Seize for us foxes foxes small [which] ruin vineyards and vineyards our [are] blossom.

16 मेरा प्रेमी मेरै हुनुहुन्छ, र म उहाँकी हुँ । उहाँ प्रसन्‍न हुँदै लिली फुलहरूका बिचमा घुमेर हिँड्नुहुन्छ । प्रेमिका प्रेमीसित बोल्दैः

Lover my [belongs] to me and I [belong] to him who [is] grazing among the lilies.

17 हे मेरा प्रेमी, प्रभातको मन्द हावा चल्नुअगि र छाया भाग्‍नुअगि नै जानुहोस्, गइहाल्नुहोस् । भिराला पहाडहरूमा हरिण वा जवान मृगझैँ हुनुहोस् ।

Until that will breathe the day and they will flee the shadows turn be like yourself O lover my a gazelle or [the] fawn of the deer on [the] mountains of ravine[s].
